We really enjoyed our stay at Desir! Lovey tranquil setting away from the town area. Was easy to get didi/taxi into town (about 30mins). The hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly and attended to every need without hesitation. A simple concept homestay with lovey dining experiences. We tried both dinner menu options over our 2 night stay. My only disappointment was the pool 😂. We were expecting an outdoor swimming pool, but it is a paddle pool mainly for children. Other than this the stay was perfect and fulfilled our need for a well needed weekend getaway from Shanghai. Thanks again 😊! Our room was lake view room. Super clean and lovely modern design. Very comfortable bedding and sheets. They even provided large bottles of free water knowing that we were hiking all day around the islands. Very thoughtful.

Amazing room! We loved the design and spaciousness of it, with many places to lounge around. The view is as advertised, a beautiful panoroma of the lake! We appreciated the small extra touches, like free fruit, tea, and small snacks. The outside areas of the hotel, like pool and lake front pavilion were incredible as well. The hotel is a tad far from town and other places to see, but it's the perfect spot to simply relax and do nothing! And it's a quick taxi ride to a small hike to a nice viewpoint of the lake. Staff were so friendly and helpful and even gave us a small gift upon checking out. Highly recommend to all! Was the perfect place for a romantic weekend away for us.

There is no takeaway nearby, and the meal is all dependent on the boss, but this homestay is expensive to eat, the taste is OK, you can say hello to the price and then decide whether to eat, but there is nothing to eat nearby, self-driving is OK, if you don’t drive, it’s a bit of a crime to walk to find food in the summer. There is a firefly park nearby, you can take a taxi, ask the owner of the hotel or ask the driver to buy the ticket, and they have discounts for locals. Because I have never lived in the countryside, if I come to Qiandao Lake next time, I should not book a homestay again. The central resort is too convenient.
