InterContinental Bandung Dago Pakar, an IHG Hotel

When I went there the hotel was almost full, so many people had to wait, such as mineral water etc. The hotel is well maintained, and the facilities are quite good.

Clean, complete breakfast, children will definitely be happy here, lots of activities that can be done in the hotel area. The staff is also friendly and explains everything well.

Overall bad review. 1. The hotel is in a good location with great scenery, which is the only advantage. 2. The facilities are old and the charges are random. Since I brought my child with me, I was originally here for vacation. I saw that this hotel ranked first among the family hotels in Bandung on Ctrip, so I booked the InterContinental Hotel. The pictures of the classic rooms on Ctrip were okay, but the classic room arranged by the receptionist was probably the worst room in the entire hotel, comparable to a country hotel, which was seriously not the same as the pictures. I took the elevator from the lobby to the 5th floor, then walked through the dim and gloomy conference area corridor, and took the next small elevator to the 2nd floor. After getting out of the elevator, a musty smell mixed with massage oil made me dizzy. Then I was arranged to stay in 201, which was closest to the door. There was a solid wall on the left outside the window, with dim light and a serious musty smell. The platform outside the window was covered with plastic artificial grass, which was full of garbage; so I immediately returned to the front desk and asked to change rooms. The receptionist said that there were actually classic rooms on the 8th floor, but smoking was allowed. I decisively refused and asked to change to a room upstairs. The receptionist fiddled with it for a while and said that 3 more bags (about 1,400 yuan) were needed for 3 nights, and gave me a discount of 2.5 bags (1,200 yuan). I had no choice but to pay 1,200 yuan, which was close to the room rate of 1,500 yuan per night (usually only 700-800 yuan). After changing to the room on the 11th floor, it was quite strange: the refrigerator and tea bags were placed in a cabinet, and the cabinet was supported by a wooden shelf and placed there, which was very awkward. The sound insulation in the room was too poor, and it was easy to hear the conversation and door closing in the next room. The ***** lights in the cloakroom could not be turned off, and they were always on when I went to bed at night. The curtains were not closed tightly, and light came through in the morning. The carpet was dirty with many marks and curled everywhere. 3. Poor service. a. It was raining heavily when we arrived at the hotel, and there might be a senior official arriving at the same time, and many police cars escorted him. We also saw it on the highway. Then my car was not allowed to park at the hotel gate, and I drove forward to the place where it was raining to make room for the senior official. My wife and the children got off the car first to get the luggage, but no waiter came to help open the car door to get the luggage. Finally, someone came to help when the trunk could not be closed. b. We asked for daily cleaning, but the towels and slippers were not changed every time they cleaned. The towels were wet and folded there for use. There were originally glass bottles of mineral water, but they insisted that there were only plastic bottles, and I had to point them out on his cart before they gave them to me. c. The so-called free photo taking is just a headshot. You can't see the scenery you want to see, and if there is, it will be blurred. The last electronic photo costs 70 yuan. They are crazy about money. d. The so-called parent-child hotel provides some recreational activities such as horse riding and motorcycle riding, but they are actually charged. The motorcycle costs 50 yuan for 15 minutes, and can only be ridden back and forth in a very small area. e. I bought a hotel doll TITI for my child, but they still charged taxes and service fees. I understand the tax, but what service is provided for buying a product? We stayed at the Ritz-Carlton in Jakarta, and they also gave away mascots for free. In comparison, the InterContinental Hotel has a serious low EQ. f. In addition to a very small swimming pool and a lawn of about 150 square meters, where an inflatable slide is exposed to the sun, there is no other place for activities in the hotel. There is a parking lot in front of the hotel and a villa area in the back, and there is no place to walk. The swimming pool is overcrowded, like dumplings, and I don’t want to go there. g. No one can imagine that there is no place to eat dinner at the InterContinental Hotel. The introduction said that the Sky View Building is open on Saturday night, but I found it closed when I went up. The Damai restaurant in the lobby only provides buffets and cannot be ordered. If you want to eat, you can either order in the room, drive out to eat, or order takeout. This is the hotel with the most takeout among the five-star hotels I have stayed in. Many people order takeout, which is really spectacular. 4. Let’s talk about breakfast. The breakfast is very average. I went to have breakfast at 8:30, and many foods were gone.
