Our quad biking adventure at Glenworth Valley was an absolute thrill, and we owe it all to our fantastic guide, Zoe. From start to finish, it was non-stop fun. Zoe's enthusiasm was infectious, and she made sure our focus was on having an incredible time. She led us through exhilarating terrains, from muddy trails to rugged paths, all while keeping the energy levels high with her jokes and engaging stories. Zoe's genuine passion for making sure we had a blast was evident throughout, and she added that extra layer of excitement to our adventure. Plus, she ensured we stayed safe while having maximum fun. If you're looking for an unforgettable experience filled with excitement and joy, this is it. Thanks, Zoe, for making our day unforgettable! We can't wait to return for more quad biking fun!
I arrived Saturday for a one night stay to attend a wedding. Checkin was seamless and I was able to use my NSW voucher which made the room only $55 for a Saturday Night! What?!? Such a bargain. The lady that checked me in (Elenore?) was very friendly and easy to talk to. My room was number 19, which is the second floor. The room was perfect, far better than other places I’ve stayed around the world. Bed was comfy and clean, bathroom was spotless and the kitchenette was great and not expected for the price (kettle, toaster, bar fridge (with water jug, little mills), microwave and tea / coffee. 2 plates, 2 bowls, cutlery, glasses and tea towel. I had some issues with road noise, but I’m a super light sleeper, I ended up sleeping with the AC on for abit of white noise. The bathroom has been half renovated - new shower and vanity. But old original floor tiles and shower taps. They still worked fine. But the shower door was abit on the narrow side, so if you are a little on the podgy side you may need to “suck it in” to get in the shower. The floor of the room was all tiles, which creates abit of noise when moving furniture but I never heard another guest and it was fully booked. The only thing I can think of that MIGHT be a major issue is if you have a large car, the parking spaces are narrow and short. I thankfully have a small car, but I’m also short so can’t see the end of the bonnet so it was abit tricky when I left. I hope I have some other events to attend on the central coast so I can stay again. It is the perfect location, a quick shoot over the back of Kariong Hill to get to Woy Woy. Down the hill to Gosford and Terrigal or back along the highway to the northern parts of the central coast. Thanks again :)
On arrival I was greeted by a young man, Connor who went above and beyond. The Ashwood Motel is associated with the Gosford RSL across the road and Connor stated that if I have Veterans Card I'm entitled a discounted room rate of 15% which he applied straight away, and then I was offered a complimentary membership to the club which would give me 10% food and beverages The rooms were great and I liked having a supply of crockery and cutlery, the bed was super comfy. The only small complaint I had was the guest laundry, which required tokens from the reception and they had no detergent available either. Also if you are coming from the East it's bit of a nightmare trying to get into the driveway.

Staff were very welcoming and polite on arrival , no lifts to room only stairs , but remember this is a budget hotel so don't expect fancy . Everything you need was avail , microwave downstairs and TV, beds , bathroom , chair and table , TV, kettle , coffee tea etc all there in a compact room . Room was clean however dusty under the beds , window was fitted with a blind and opened if req , heating ac was good . Room represents excellent value for money and was tasteful but minimal too .
Stayed here during a last minute business trip. Rooms are simply furnished but very clean and comfortable, all you'd need for a night or two. The microwave oven in the room was a nice touch although it wasn't needed this trip. Rear door access, heating and cooling were good, and the bed was clean and comfortable. Quiet too, despite being only a little back from the main road. Check in was friendly and easy. The car park could be a little tight if you have a large 4WD, but it just means taking a little extra care, nothing that would prevent anyone with a large car parking there. Would definitely stay again.
The room was very clean, saying that the Australian hotel had not touched the dirty, it was very clean, it may be that the air is too clean and easy to clean. There is no microwave in the room but there is a public kitchen. It is very convenient. The microwave oven is broken the next morning. Waiting for the staff to change one for a long time, the price is not expensive. It is almost the cheapest motel in Australia these days, maybe compare Remote
Single rooms were booked twice, some with larger spaces, tables and chairs. Some are smaller, no tables and chairs. No air conditioning, ceiling fans or table fans. There is a washbasin in the room and a shared bathroom and toilet. There is a restaurant and bar on the first floor. There are supermarkets and shopping malls. Retro elevator, and room design. Overall nice and clean.
Each time we have stayed here they have overcharged us The first time we stayed the room was cheaper on booking.com I rang and asked if I could have the room for the same price as it was on booking.com as I was aware that they were charged a commission so it made sense to pay them direct and the hotel not pay the commission. The motel agreed and upgraded us to a spa suite for $130 per night. The next time we stayed we rang and asked not to be upgraded to the spa suite as it backs on to the railway line and is very noisy we were given a normal suite upstairs but on the Sunday night I noticed that money had been taken out of my bank account without my permission and that they had charged me $160 instead of the quoted price of $130 per night I might point out that we do ask for confirmation email when we book motels as we are on the road with business at no time did we ever receive an email from this motel The overcharge of this stay was questioned and we were told we would receive a credit which really was not acceptable as it should have been done when we checked out Several weeks later no credit and we had to stay in this area again so we opted to book a room and specifically use the $60 credit We were told that the booking was not in the system even though we had rung and booked the room and asked for our credit against the room si we were then forced to take a spa room upstairs that backs on to the railway line which we specifically told them we did not want as the shower is over the spa bath and quite slippery They then charged us $160 as reception said that there were no other queen rooms available even though the car park looked quite empty So this stay we were supposed to received a credit of $60 but only received $30 because wow were forced to stay in the spa suite even though we had booked a queen room The last stay we booked a queen room for $130 and were told that was fine we decided due to the previous stay to check and confirm the booking and the cost We were told that the price had just gone up we pointed out that when we made the booking we were quoted $130 now to be told that the price was now $150 we checked booking.com to see that the room was $140 so we rang back and spoke to the manager We pointed out that we had booked before the price rise and that we could get it in Booking.com fir $10 cheaper thinking that they would at least match the price on Booking.com The manager then told us to cancel our booking and do it on Booking.com and then told us it was cheaper on Booking.com because Booking.com buy bulk bookings of rooms I have been in the motel industry for many years and that is not what I understood happens so now we have the manager lying to us as well as not honouring our original booking We then rang back and cancelled the booking and cane to our senses and booked elsewhere Will never stay there again but am concerned that customers need to be aware of there business practices and check there
