We had a lovely time at the Metro Mirage Newport - great value, great location and beautiful views over Pittwater. The place is a little tired but the rooms were large and very clean. We loved staying here!!!!
This is the only BIG4 campsite where you live in Australia. The room type you stay in is a playground cabin. Each cabin has two bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen. It is suitable for self-driving friends. The car can park at the cabin ticket. The camp has My own private beach, the campsite is the RV campsite, there are many barbecue grills for guests to use for free, and there is a large kitchen in the campsite for guests to use for free, and the campsite is very large, there are many amusement facilities and swimming pools, which is only a short distance from the campsite. The nearest supermarket is about 2 minutes away by car. It is very convenient, about 15 kilometers away from the central coast. Very suitable for taking kids on holiday⛱️
Stayed here last September for a swimming carnival and couldn’t fault it. So my daughter booked on line for a TRYathlon that my grandson was in today - using the same room details. This was months ago. We were disappointed that it was a different room upon arrival. Several reasons were given, including renovations, but these were done before our previous booking. Then we were told that online must call these room by a different name. No - we had the details from our previous booking, same room descriptions. Funnily enough, my other daughter booked on line, AFTER us and got the room we wanted. We still had plenty of room and couldn’t do much about it, but none the less disappointing. The room was spacious, and clean with all the usual inclusions, no hair dryer though. Nice clean white bed linen and towels, and comfortable beds. Modern bathroom with a waterfall shower head. Heavy cigarette smell, was wafting up from downstairs, which was a unpleasant, but it is a hotel. Just a shame we could smell it in our room. We had a beautiful meal downstairs for 9 people and all thoroughly enjoyed it. All our lights blew, when my grandson went in to shower, but It was fixed promptly. Then immediately went out again, when turning on the bathroom light again. There was a fault with the switch and it was tripping everything. They were fixed again, but we were unable to use this switch. They said an electrician would come the next day. We showered and used the toilet in the dark, which was a little unsafe. We were given 2 x $25 dollar vouchers, but unfortunately they expire by 1/5, so doubtful they will be used. Perhaps a longer time frame would be more useful? All in all, it is a nice place for a night and the location was great for where we needed to be. One thing to consider is the live band which can be heard from the rooms, which could be a problem for some....
We have stayed in this complex before when w evoked directly through Mantra. This time around we booked through the premium apartments, we didn’t realise I til we locked up the key it was in the same building. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Lovely big corner spa, right in town so close to food options and shops, next door to Ettalong diggers which was an easy dinner option. Long corridors can be noisy and echo but we didn’t hear anyone after about 8pm. Nice balcony, stove top and fridge, washer and dryer Downside was we drove around in circles for about 10 minutes trying to find the building before we realised it was at the Mantra. On the corner of the block is a real estate and you go in there and collect your keys. We booked through booking.com and the instructions were not sent to us. After hours of travelling with an infant we would have liked to avoid this last minute search.
I booked a family room for myself, husband and two adult children. The accommodation was advertised as Executive Family and $20 extra Deluxe . The rooms looked large in the pictures. What we got was ordinary double room with two single beds. A recorded message when we called Reception. After dinner still no-one in Reception. So my husband and children showered which is beside the toilet with one of those tiny sliding doors. I am a large woman. Whenl tried to enter the shower l could not pass through the half door. We went to see Reception at 0900 hrs and explained my problem asking that we be allow to pay for the one night we had used and the lady said that it was not possible. She offered the use of a disabled shower but the room was too small for the four of us. We were told to go to our room and Reception would contact us. A housekeeper brought us the key for the disabled room and l was told that l could only use the shower we couldn't have the room as it was booked later in the day. The lady at Reception said that it was a thirty year old motel and this was the size of the rooms but it is not what is shown in the pictures We told reception that we were leaving and asked again that we be charged just for the time used and she said no. I were charged the two nights. The rooms are small, the shower was small and the staff were disinterested in helping. If the excuse was the thirty years of age of the Motel then perhaps the rates should also reflect this, which they did not.

Great place to stay for a weekend, even if the weather is lousy. Excellent room 103, opposite the beach. 2 x queen beds and a lounge and big balcony. Weather was terrible, so we ordered to our room coffee and breakfast, and one night an excellent pizza. Had a few drinks downstairs and there was a great duo band on. Couldn’t hear a thing in our rooms as the sound proofing was so good. Would definitely stay again.
