"The location is top-notch, the toiletries are also top-notch, Dyson hair dryer, smart toilet, stroll around the harbor at night, walk around the Opera House and Sydney Botanic Gardens. The scenery is so beautiful that it doesn't seem real, it's like a fairy tale. Lying in bed and watching the Opera House at sunrise or sunset, what can I complain about this kind of life?"
"We booked a room specifically for its Sydney Opera House view. However, there's a busy road right outside the building, and even though we were on a high floor, it was incredibly noisy. It felt like there were no windows at all to block the sound! After repeatedly checking, I realized the windows were fixed. I can't believe how poor the sound insulation quality is; the noise was simply unbearable!"
"The view from our room was amazing ☆
I could see the Harbour Bridge and Opera House from the moment I woke up until I went to bed at night, and it made me feel happy. The location was also great, with breakfast every day at a lovely cafe just a 5-6 minute walk away ☕️🥞🥐. There were also plenty of great bars in the evenings where you could enjoy a drink and a meal, so I really enjoyed my trip.
A good trip is determined by the view and location from the hotel, so I highly recommend it."
"Our room was on the 27th floor, and the view was absolutely stunning, offering simultaneous glimpses of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. The decor leaned towards a classic, somewhat dated style; the old-fashioned separate hot and cold water taps were a bit inconvenient, and there was no smart toilet. However, I personally found the bedding more comfortable than at the Crowne Plaza. Room service is available, and the meal prices aren't significantly higher than regular restaurants outside. There's a $10 trolley fee added to each order. Ordering breakfast is definitely worth it for those Instagram-worthy photos. The Shangri-La is more conveniently located, closer to Circular Quay and Wynyard, but do note that the hotel is situated on a hilltop. If you have luggage or are traveling with elderly companions, you'll pretty much have to take a taxi, as there's a steep uphill climb to reach the hotel, which I'd estimate at nearly 40 degrees [crying emoji]."
"The hotel is in a great location, you can walk to a large shopping district, the decoration style is stylish and modern, the room quality is good, and the bathroom is equipped with disabled facilities, which is humane! The Western breakfast is very delicious😋"
"This hotel has many good things about it and one not great thing. It is in a great location (100 meters from Circular Quay, and right in the Rocks) I walked to Darling Harbour from the hotel as well. The bed and comforter were extremely comfortable. The one bad thing is the noise insulation. It's an older hotel so that may be expected. When an adjacent room closed their door it was loud enough to wake me up. Also, There is a bar across the street that played music until midnight on Wed and 2am on Thur. Oddly the bar was closed on Friday (yay!)"
"The highlight of our stay was definitely the stunning view from our room and balcony—absolutely amazing. The location couldn’t have been better, with most attractions within walking distance. Watching the Vivid Light Show from the comfort of our balcony was a particularly memorable experience.
However, the room itself was quite dated and in need of refurbishment. The carpet was noticeably worn with dark patches, and parts of the bathroom were peeling. On the plus side, housekeeping did service the room daily, which was appreciated.
One downside was the misleading information about parking. Although the website mentioned parking, there was none available on-site. We had to use Wilson's parking next door, which came at a steep price.
All in all, I’d recommend this hotel for the location and views alone, but be prepared for a room that’s seen better days."
"I REALLY like this YHA hostel, brand new facilities and very close to the train station, but need to climb up and down a little bit to access to the hostel, if you bring large case, please be aware that you might need to put more effort. the view of the roof bar was great and it is also a good place to socialise with other new friends from different parts of the world."
"Have been to this hotel twice. The service in terms of responsiveness and kindness are excellent. The breakfast was great. Came in a great variety and the quality is good. Although it is a old hotel, the management did a wonderful job to maintain it. The service and locations are great."
