"The location is great, not too close to the heart of downtown. We can enjoy the serenity of the surrounding area, it's close to the historical site of citadel and public Garden, with a few steps, you can ride on bus which connects you to anywhere even to the airport. The hotel room is spacious, with good air conditioning and heated floor. The room cleaning is fine but towels we're missing after the first cleaning on the next day. However the bulky air conditioner is quite noisy and our room is close to the ice producing machine, so sometimes you will be disdisturbed disturbed,"
"Really have nothing bad to say about the hotel but lots to say about the restaurant, the Hidden Gem!
As there were no choices for restaurants nearby, most of us ended up at the in-house Restaurant, the Hidden Gem! We had to wait at least 20 minutes to be seated, then another 20-30 minutes before our order was taken. But must say, the beer that ,my husband ordered came very fast! Another long wait for the food to come. My husband ordered the Traditional Club, no problem there. I ordered the Seafood Platter and that is the worst food, I ever had! When I tried one of the breaded scallop which was a darker shade than usual, the scallop was rubbery! The shrimp was overcooked too but at least that was eatable. The beer battered haddock was uneatable, the end part it was so hard , I could not cut into it, so I tried the middle and the batter and fish was uncooked, batter was soggy and fish had an unpleasant smell. I tried to catch the attention of the waiter but after 10 minutes of no success, I went up to the bar where he was and asked him to come to the table. Showed him the food, the fish in particular and he agreed with me that it was not good. He took the plate of food in and came out a few minutes later to say that the chef insisted that the food was edible! I wished I had taken a picture of it. He offered to cook me another plate but at this point, I have lost my appetite! Or he was going to offer me 50% of the cost of the meal. We did not agree and the waiter called the Manager. When she came, she was the most unpleasant and hostile person, insisted that we either pay 50% of the meal, since I had eaten half of the salad and the one scallop and shrimp! Otherwise she was going to have us kicked out of the hotel! As it was already past 8 p.m. and after a long day of driving, we had enough and say ok we’ll pay the 50% but would write a nasty review! She came back before we got our bill and said she will take the meal off our bill after all as she had seen the food, No apologies no nothing!
I was so disappointed as I was hoping to enjoy the delicious fresh seafood that Nova Scotia has to offer one last time before going home and this was what I got!
Never had such a bad experience with any Restaurant Staff/ Manager ever!"
"I stayed for three nights and honestly, I couldn’t have picked a better spot. The hotel is right in the centre of everything—restaurants, shops, and even the port are all just a short walk away, which made getting around super easy.
The place itself has this lovely, old-school charm. My room was really quiet and the bed was higher than I’m used to, but surprisingly comfortable, I slept like a log every night. The bathroom was huge, which I definitely appreciated."
"The room is large and very clean. Like many hotels in Canada, the room is equipped with an old-fashioned air conditioner, which is a bit noisy, but you will get used to it after staying for a few days. It is generally quite comfortable. The front desk service is very polite. The room we were assigned is next to the atrium. The window is the platform of the atrium. If there are people outside, they can stand on the ground and see the room directly. The privacy is a little poor, so the window is equivalent to no window. It is closed during the day and night, and the curtains are drawn tightly, although it seems that there are no people outside all day. The hotel restaurant is a bit far from the room. You need to go around several corridors and go out of the security door. The breakfast is paid separately, and the taste is good. The hotel is close to the waterfront, which is very convenient for walking on the beach."
"I was very satisfied with the double bed for the first time, but this time the single bed was shocked. The toilet is half as big as last time. The soundproofing is also poor, and it doesn't feel like the same hotel as before. Maybe the top floor hasn't been renovated yet. This time the room doesn't deserve 800 RMB at all"
"Great location close to citadel and museums aswell as lots of bars snd restaurants. Parking is chargesble but we were allowed to leave car for the while day on our check out before going to airport which was great. Staff were very helpful and gave us a free upgrade to harbour view."
"The location is OK, it is quite convenient to go out and turn around, but not by the sea, the parking lot on the roadside is quite convenient. This hotel is a bit like a hotel apartment with a microwave in the room and a small hall"
"Was a great stay! The staff was friendly and offered us a free brunch when our wifi was having issues as well as an upgrade.
Thanks so much!"

Very Good
1118025****The hotel is in a good location. You can see the city of Hafa from the room window. It is also close to the beach. It takes more than 20 minutes to walk to the city center and most scenic spots on the beach. There is a paid parking lot, but no charging piles. The hygiene and facilities are good.
OoooyanI have never stayed in such a speechless hotel... I stayed for a total of six days. The fire alarm went off three mornings, whether it was weekends or weekdays, and each time it was around nine o'clock... The fire alarm lasted for 20 minutes, and the hotel did not have any explanation, just saying it was a false fire alarm. I don't believe that there could be three false fire alarms in six days? ? ? The hotel does not care about the rest and sleep of the customers at all. The time of each alarm was almost the same, and it went off every other day, as if it was intentional. In addition, I also found in Google reviews that the fire alarm went off frequently and lasted for a long time. So don't book this hotel if you can. The room is very small and not very quiet. The bar downstairs lasts until about two in the morning on weekends, which is extremely noisy.
A deposit of 20 Canadian dollars is collected every night
GGARYRUThe hotel environment is elegant and comfortable, especially there is a lake in the hotel's garden, which is a good place to stop and take a rest during a long trip. The hotel's hygiene is good and the waiters' attitudes are good.
GGuest UserStaff is very nice and helpful. Room has its own atmosphere, building as well, which is taking us back in time. Would definitely recommend it. Also a good value for money.
GGuest UserIt was unclear to me when I booked online that a “physical” credit card was required to use for a damage deposit.
*I had loaded my credit card to my wallet on my iPhone & left the physical card @ home.
(I don’t carry a purse, so this was a great option for me).
The motels policy was credit card to use as a damage deposit…NO exceptions 😱
I had offered to use cash, but, was told no 😱😱
It just so happened that I had a credit card tucked away in my glove box or I would have been out of luck…would not have been allowed to check in & would have lost $400 on the room rental.
SO…beware travellers!!

GGuest UserThe hotel chain we stayed in is located in Dartmouth. It takes about 10 minutes to cross the bridge from downtown Haffa, but this 10-minute drive can be much cheaper. The hotel is surrounded by apartments and is also close to Superstore. The surrounding area is safe and not noisy. The hotel has a total of 4 floors, with a lobby on the 1st floor and guest rooms on the 2nd to 4th floors. The guest rooms on the 2nd floor of the building are marked as the 1st floor. My room is 2XX, so it is actually on the 3rd floor. The large glass windows have a good view. The basic facilities in the guest rooms are old but sufficient. Parking is free and you can park at the door of the hotel, which is very convenient to enter and exit. The family room we booked has 2 large beds, which is suitable. The whole family slept well for two nights. When checking out, the Indian manager at the front desk also said that the price you booked on this APP is much lower than our price. It is true that Ctrip's price is better. I also compared another local APP that settled in US dollars at the time. It is indeed Ctrip's price is more favorable (maybe I have accumulated more credits because I have used Ctrip more). In short, it is a relatively pleasant accommodation experience with high cost performance.
