I have to be honest was a bit sceptical when my company booked me in here, it’s on top of garage, next to a highway and no staff onsite. I was pleasantly surprised, the single room was huge, sound proofed from the highway. The garage was really handy for a snack or drink, the continental breakfast was plenty. It’s in walking distance of pubs and restaurants in Lachen and the train station. I will stay here again if in the area.
We went to Europe to celebrate our anniversary,we booked a hotel on zurich and we chose the wrong city, so we stay on moxy on rapperswil,at first we were surprise how far was from zurich but it was a good thing the customer service was amazing, the guys on front desk are really helpful and friendly Rafael,Mona and marina thanks for making us feel like home, hotel is nice and clean has a nice view of the city front the roof top, highly recommended this place thanks for the amazing service
We were for the second time at Hotel Sorell Speer. This time not alone as a couple, but with my mother. I booked the two rooms long in advance, directly over the hotel (chain). My wish: two rooms next to each other or vis à vis. At the arrival we were treated as if we had never been in this or another sorell. A “Welcome back” would have been happy. The rooms were then on the same floor, but not next to each other. That disappointed us. Especially since it was our only wish. The rooms OK. Beautiful clean. Parquet floor. No coffee machine on the room, shower in the bathtub, furniture remember the 80s. All right, but not for the price. Breakfast: classic. Nothing exceptional. There are still only two juices and not a selection of five+ as in the other Sorell. Why the tea is served in the small Espresso Tassli is not reached us. Nice staff. When checking out everything very well 0815. No “to soon” “good trip”,....at all the time, a water was made for on the way. Globally speaking: we didn't feel very welcome, our wish was not taken into account and not corrected as I said at check in, breakfast ok. Price performance was not right at the weekend for us personally.

Hi everyone, We have visited hotel Seedam plaza in Pfäffikon many times and always leaving this place with nice and positive emotions. The hotel itself it’s very comfortable, clean and has a nice view to the lake. The food at the restaurant it’s super tasty and they have a huge choice of the wine. At the summer time they have nice terrace outside where you can have a drink and dinner with beautiful view of the sunset on the lake. It’s very easy underground parking. And it’s 10 minutes walk to the train station, which is a half hour ride to Zurich. It’s a beautiful walking pathway around the lake. And you can walk till Rapperswil that’s is a pretty little city with a castle. Near the hotel you have a Seedam shopping mall where you can buy whichever you need. Just wanted to say thanks to all personal of the hotel for being very nice to us,and particularly The front office manager Jan Klingelfuss. And our special thanks to Videsh and Juan at the hotel bar. This guys are super nice, professional and polite, they always remember our preferences. We see that they work very hard to make all the guests very happy. And they make the best cocktails in whole Switzerland! Highly recommend this hotel for business or leisure. All best, Alla Goddard

This review is for the restaurant only. After sitting down for lunch I ordered my drink. After handing over the menu the waiter came and went for the other for 10 minutes 4 or less guests without further noticing me or telling me about the delay. As I stood up to leave (I cannot stand restaurants ignoring me) he brought the drink. After I told him I was just about to leave (I would have stayed) he ridiculed me ”ah you waited for 2 hours... Then we have to hurry” and went on pouring the drink in great anger. After this commotion I lost my appetite and left for good. This isn't some cheap dive but an elegant,(and expensive place). The staff should be reminded who pays their salaries and not alienate their guests with such rude behavior).
Stayed here on business for four nights. I chose the basic room which had a shared showeroom and toilet. Wasn’t an issue for me as I had my own sink in my room. This was a very keenly priced small room which suited my needs. I did get bitten by a mosquito which I wasn’t expecting in this part of the world. The location is very rural. There are three very large dining areas one of which is outside. I saw lots of facilities for people of all ages which makes it great for families. The WiFi connection was brilliant so I was able to catch up with emails in the evening without issue. The staff are fantastic. The guy in reception spoke really good English and was able to assist with all my enquiries. I was offered a room change if I didn’t like the shared bathroom but it wasn’t a problem for me. There is plenty of free parking but there are currently roadworks at the bottom of the road I used to get to the hotel which on one occasion was completely blocked at one end. However I discovered that if you turn left when exiting the hotel you can get back to the main road that way instead. Follow it to what looks like a dirt track going through someone’s farm. I know it was ok to do this as I saw other cars doing it. Bit narrow so take it slow. The food in the restaurant was wonderful. At breakfast I noticed a selection of lactose free items. I rarely see this in hotels so five stars for having this available for those that need it. I really enjoyed my stay and would happily visit again.
