The appartment has a stunning view of the fields. It's very quiet and clean. The large king size bed is super comfortable. ensuite jacuzzi is wonderful. However it's completely isolated from the main hotel so we need to go outdoor for breakfast, restaurant and check out. It's a bit of huzzle because it rained heavily when we checked out. It's hard to manage all luggage, bin bag and umbrella at the same time. Although the appartment room rate is much higher than Hotel Spa Villa, we had less service and amenities. For example, housekeeping was not included so we need to throw our bin bag to the collection point outdoor by ourselves. Hence the Thermal pools are much smaller than Spa villa and was more crowed than a public pool especially during weekend when there were many families and kids. All kids liked to use the adult pools rather than their kid's pool! Not value for money. We requested pack breakfast at 7am on the check out day because we had early flight. One of the staff refused and said they had to follow the restaurant time table which are 8-11am. We asked another lady, Rachel, the next day and she was very kind and helpful, she communicated with the cafe and arranged pack breakfast with egg, coffee, water and fruits for us at 7am. Rachel is wonderful and the hotel need more staff like her who offered the best customer service.

The truth is that we have been staying some weekend a year there for more than 10 years. Mostly to disconnect. These years have changed things, better and worse... but this last time, I am quite surprised by the last changes. We have noticed that they have changed the quantity (in dinner) and quality (in breakfast) of the buffet. For example, at breakfast they have no longer the newly expressed juice machine, which I think was essential. The machine coffee... as any machine coffee... but that has never been good, the truth. In dinner, they have visiblely reduced the letter. It is to be stressed that quality is good and this is very rich. There are more and more events that make you very likely to match a wedding (for example), which makes many people see in the hotel. They also introduced more things to enjoy in the family. And the spa schedules seem to me right. Although there is no one who can make sure they are fulfilled, and you can pass like me, that the adult time had a family playing with a child ... Perfect. Hotel reception was attentive and booked me in quickly after a late flight. All I needed was a comfy bed - and this hotel is great! Quick breakfast the next morning. Great value. Exactly what was needed.

Beautiful, fully renovated historic building with excellent and extensive spa and wellness facilities. Very professional, helpful and friendly staff. Amazing breakfast in terms of both quality and choice. Very comfortable and clean rooms. The underground parking has very spacious parking slots. A short drive from Santander but away from the crowds and noise of the city (especially during festivals). Very good value for money - a 4* hotel for 5* service and facilities.
