Find the Cheap Ash Hotels

A great pub to stay at for a long weekend. We stayed there to watch racing at Brands Hatch for two days and you could not be closer to the circuit. The food was outstanding, we had a ribeye steak and we are still talking about it a week later. The staff were very friendly and if they saw our glass empty it was promptly collected and refreshed. Unfortunately not the best hotel we've stayed at. Booked for a spa break, but unfortunately parts of the hotel let down our relaxation. We stayed for 2 nights; dinner and breakfast was included in our deal, and as the hotel was advertised as a spa we thought we would spend the two days in the hotel. We ended up not bothering with breakfast one day, and spent our second day out of the hotel. Stains on the bedroom floor, bedside tables with lots of dust, chipping paint and dust at the windowsill, wardrobe door wouldn't shut, told air con and robe/slippers included but neither a part of our stay. Dinner both evenings was nice and a good choice of drinks in the bar with background music. Staff are friendly. We didn't bring up any of our issues to staff because nothing was actually wrong with our stay or we found to be a problem, just not at the standard we anticipated given some of the reviews and website photos. If you're staying for one night for an event or for work, it's absolutely fine. We thought it would be a spa-focused hotel so were a bit disappointed that it's a hotel with a steam room and a pool. We didn't have a bad stay at all, thank you to the staff who were nice, especially the young kids in the restaurant and bar.

We had a lovely visit at the Castle Hotel. A hotel with an old quaint charm! Love the history. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Coffee and robes in the rooms were over the top. Breakfast each morning was amazing. Loved sitting out on the beautiful patio area! We look forward to many more visits!

Not sure what to expect on arrival as the external of the hotel is quite plain, but internaly very up todate, clean & pleasant, a lot of space in the room & bathroom, easy checkin & shown our room, decent cooked breakfast included, close to Bluewater shopping center.

Wonderful 3 night stay with my grandson. We were visiting family. Even though it was over the new year celebrations, we had a good night's sleep and enjoyed the pool. Lovely friendly staff, which was very welcoming. Even my 6 Yr old grandson commented how nice the hotel was. Sally in the restaurant at breakfast was very welcoming, especially. Reception was very helpful too, even when popping a missing towel, etc, up to our room personally.

I would give it 11 out of 10 if I could. Fell upon this by sheer luck and ended up staying 4 nights instead of 1, we were so comfortable. Can’t understand some of the negative comments on the reviews. The staff are incredible, hardworking, happy, friendly, anything you want they will try and accommodate you, always someone available day and night, really flexible to special requests and caring regarding special diets. They make it like a home from home and the level of customer service is something that is very rare these days. They found me a room with a microwave when I told them on check in that I travel with my own food due to dietary restrictions. Our room was spacious and had every amenity you could think of, bed was comfortable, big soft thick towels. Everywhere spotlessly clean. Lounge area really homely, warm and cosy. Very good breakfast options, pub type menu available to order until about 9pm with some good quality hot food and gluten free options. Really good bar and service. Free tea and coffee 24 hour self service machine plus hot and cold water dispenser. Very good security both building and car park. Residents only hotel so always plenty of tables in lounge/restaurant and no need to worry about who might be coming into the hotel/restaurant. Most of the hotel including the lounge/restaurant has had a refurb/makeover/redecoration. A big personal thanks to all the staff for being so helpful to me during our stay. Wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend. Easy to find and access and plenty of free secure parking. Very fairly priced and good value for money.

Overall we were pleasantly surprised with our stay since it was our first time staying at this hotel chain. The location was convenient being right next to the A2, yet still peaceful inside our hotel. The room was very large, the customer service was great and the value for money was so much better than the more established chains. There’s also an independent coffee stand just a short walk from the hotel. It’s called grounded coffee and we recommend a visit. A highly recommended hotel.
