Striking a balance of work and play, the Premier Inn Hotel Gloucester Business Park is perfectly placed. Business travellers have G4S, Invista and Ageas on the doorstep, while the city, docks and race course are nearby. You're only a mile from the M5, too. Wander around Gloucester, with its 500 listed buildings, historic docks, cool cafes and designer outlet shopping. The picture-perfect Cotswolds is on your doorstep - not to mention Cheltenham Race Course and Fairford Air Show. At the end of the day, return to our tasty restaurant, spacious rooms and comfy beds.
"Hotel is modern and clean. Rooms very spacious and comfortable quality bedding. Large bed. Shower and bathroom clean and modern. Nice touch with bottle water and hospitality tray.
Breakfast was TERRIBLE. Food run out, waiting lengthy time for restock, tables dirty, poor selection of tea, milk (non dairy) and breads.
Continental platter was ham and cheese- embarrassing!
No eggs for 20 mins. Plates burning hot, sausages. Really cheap and didn’t even taste like sausage! Worst breakfast ever eaten in a hotel.
Shame as the rest of hotel was good in every way."
"Have stayed here several times and usually have a good experience, except for the breakfast arrangements at the beefeater next door.
On this occasion, we arrived with relatives in their 80s to find the rooms that had been refurbished and only completed that day, had no electricity. There was only one person on the desk, and it was a busy day in mid Dec. The poor girl fried frantically to get the electric working in both rooms, for over an hour, eventually
moving us to other rooms on another floor, but again, no electric. We we're beginning to give up hope. Already feeling low as we were attending a younger relatives' funeral the next day. But after 90 minutes, she finally succeeded by using 2 key cards in the lighting slot, giving us light. Needless to say we were all tired and weary. To her credit she offered a refund for the cost of breakfast to compensate, and on feeding our experience back to Premier Inn, they also discounted the cost of the rooms. So we were happy with that, and generally we would stay here again.
Our only other gripe is with the arrangement for breakfast in the beefeater accross the carpark. Having booked full English breakfast, that is what you expect. But being asked on arrival have you paid or not is poor practice, and would expect the booking in and restaurant services to be linked, so that question becomes mute. Then to go through each item in the English breakfast menu to be asked how many of each item is required is really unacceptable. I do hope they seriously explore a better way to greet and serve their customers. Most hotels would usually just ask your room number, which tells them if you have paid for breakfast or not, and then serve you the item as listed on the menu."
"Superior location. The hotel has good facilities. In front of the gate is the river. It's safe, too. I do a lot of running in the morning. Next to it is a new shopping mall. Later, I found that there are many noodles to eat. You can also see the scenery outside. Very good."
"A hotel in the suburbs, the environment is quiet and beautiful, but the front desk service attitude is average. They arranged a room for us at the door of the corridor. It was noisy when people passed by in the morning. In addition, parking is charged."
"This was an excellent hotel. Service was great. From James in reception who welcomed us with professionalism and warmth & tips to visit, to the restaurant staff who were helpful and responsive. The chef was great - food was tasty and to a great standard. The housekeeping staff were friendly and accommodating as well. We had an awesome and restful stay. Our dog enjoyed the bed and treats as well as walks in the beautiful grounds. Breakfast was excellent and the rooms were clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. We will make tgis hotel an regular on our list."
"We stayed there over Easter holiday. Finding the hotel was easy. There is a ski slope right opposite the hotel which is good for something to do. We didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment but the gym, steam room, swimming pool, and sauna were in good condition. The sauna was always packed so we ended up waiting for people to leave. The bar was nice. Overall it was a good stay."
