Overall our stay was pleasant. We specifically asked for a quiet room which the staff kindly organised. The food was ok but lacking in variety for the continental breakfast( they only had melon and pineapple out of which the melon was not ripe so I couldn’t eat it). I would have given more stars but there are some major improvements they need to do to justify the £ we paid for 2 nights. Our shower door was broken. One of us had to shower whilst the other held the door 😂. The shower head is probably one of the worst I have ever had to use. It’s so high up that it’s inevitable to get your hair completely soaked. And lastly, before our departure we had 2 hours to kill, during which we wanted to sit and play a game in the hotel facilities, that we rightly paid to use. This wasn’t possible due to how many bookings they had, the hotel was packed downstairs. We were told it would be ok to sit at a particular table. We started our game and then we got moved due to a booking. Fair enough we moved to a different table and set up our game again. Our drink came really late and we were asked 7 times if we wanted a drink, basically ushering us to either order or leave so they can free the table, even though we had ordered a drink! They also added service charge for this drink!

A small hotel with British characteristics. The rooms are not big. The key is that the rooms in the UK are small. There are many small country-style hotels in the UK. They are small and warm. I like this style very much. The restaurant on the first floor has very good business. The rooms are very clean, the heating was given early, and the breakfast was excellent. The disadvantage of this hotel is poor soundproofing. A few steps from the door is the most beautiful garden westgate gardens written on the guide. The cathedral is also very close and the price is moderate. This is a good choice for personal travel

Perfect location, situated right next to the Cathedral so everything you could want is on your doorstep. The hotel has a lot of character with a quirky layout that winds its way about. Charming room with a lovely courtyard overlooking the Cathedral just outside and communal lounge if you require more space. The staff were very friendly, relaxed and incredibly accommodating ( I have several food allergies which were taken into account and alternatives provided during my stay which helped me feel very looked after). Continental breakfast is delicious and complimentary tea and coffee perfect after a day strolling through the historic town. Absolutely loved our stay here.

The appearance of this homestay has forgotten to take pictures. It should be found in other commenters. This homestay is very close to Canterbury West Station. We have two oversized boxes, so we took a taxi to the hotel after leaving the station. 3-4 minutes paid 6.6 pounds 😄.
The homestay is very good, the decoration is relatively new, the house is bright, and it is very clean. There are several staff and the service is better. We set a large room with breakfast. After we arrived, we were assigned a twin room with a large independent bathroom. The bed was about 1 meter wide, not wide, but the UK was like this. One thing worth mentioning: the time of the hotel check in here is generally after 3 pm, the time of check out is 10:30 the next morning, but we arrived at noon, went to the hotel early, the staff was also very enthusiastic to help us free the room, Still more humane. A very good stay experience, it is worth recommending to everyone.

The better place to compare the general facilities is that it is more convenient to travel in the city centre. It is also very convenient to get off the train station. The hotel is very poor. If you are unfortunate, your window is next to the street. There is a bar downstairs every night. Shouting

We stayed for a midweek break and could not fault anything. Perfect location for getting out and about and a pleasant 10 minute walk into canterbury. Service was impeccable and everyone was very polite, accommodation and food good value for money and would recommend to family and friends. I agree with a recent review on one disappointment with the hotel that despite being in Canterbury I expected to see wildebeest running across the plain !!!!!!

returned for a third time to this lovely hotel. last visit was a few years ago. it’s in a great location in walking distance to the city centre. the hotel itself is spotlessly clean and the decor is traditional. When we arrived we were greeted by Bogdan who is extremely helpful and goes the extra mile. we were able to park in the car park even before check in so we could go out to have lunch which was really helpful. our room was cosy and very clean. we made use of the pool which adds an extra something special to this hotel. it was a bit chilly in the pool but it was november! we had treatments in the spa facility . really relaxing massages by the two ladies who work there. had a great night sleep. the beds are comfy. nice bathroom and the shower was good. we had breakfast and could choose full english and continental as it’s a buffet style breakfast . hopefully will return here as it really is a great place to stay and it’s good value for money too. a hidden gem!

I felt i had to write a review about the recently opened restaurant. It was both excellent service and the meal was superb. I enjoyed the grilled ribeye steak dressed with chimichurri served on a bed of mash potatoes, honeygarlic roasted carrrots with grilled asparagus wrapped in Parma ham. All this for £24, excellent value for money. I shall definitely be returning for seconds !

GGuest UserHotel was in a fantastic location, clean, modern and staff were extremely friendly. What sadly let it down was the awful mattress in the room. It was springy, lumpy, noisy and appeared to be sinking. Was extremely uncomfortable and me and my partner found it very difficult to sleep. Woke up with aches and stiffness every morning. The cooked breakfast also wasn’t great, although plenty of choice on the continental option. Such a shame for the bad experiences we had as the hotel was otherwise pleasant.

I like this style very much. The restaurant on the first floor has very good business. The rooms are very clean, the heating was given early, and the breakfast was excellent. The disadvantage of this hotel is poor soundproofing. A few steps from the door is the most beautiful garden westgate gardens written on the guide. The cathedral is also very close and the price is moderate. This is a good choice for personal travel

GGuest UserOverall our stay was pleasant. We specifically asked for a quiet room which the staff kindly organised. The food was ok but lacking in variety for the continental breakfast( they only had melon and pineapple out of which the melon was not ripe so I couldn’t eat it). I would have given more stars but there are some major improvements they need to do to justify the £ we paid for 2 nights. Our shower door was broken. One of us had to shower whilst the other held the door 😂. The shower head is probably one of the worst I have ever had to use. It’s so high up that it’s inevitable to get your hair completely soaked. And lastly, before our departure we had 2 hours to kill, during which we wanted to sit and play a game in the hotel facilities, that we rightly paid to use. This wasn’t possible due to how many bookings they had, the hotel was packed downstairs. We were told it would be ok to sit at a particular table. We started our game and then we got moved due to a booking. Fair enough we moved to a different table and set up our game again. Our drink came really late and we were asked 7 times if we wanted a drink, basically ushering us to either order or leave so they can free the table, even though we had ordered a drink! They also added service charge for this drink!

GGuest UserWe stayed for a midweek break and could not fault anything. Perfect location for getting out and about and a pleasant 10 minute walk into canterbury. Service was impeccable and everyone was very polite, accommodation and food good value for money and would recommend to family and friends. I agree with a recent review on one disappointment with the hotel that despite being in Canterbury I expected to see wildebeest running across the plain !!!!!!

GGuest UserI felt i had to write a review about the recently opened restaurant. It was both excellent service and the meal was superb. I enjoyed the grilled ribeye steak dressed with chimichurri served on a bed of mash potatoes, honeygarlic roasted carrrots with grilled asparagus wrapped in Parma ham. All this for £24, excellent value for money. I shall definitely be returning for seconds !

GGuest UserI reckon it was the cleanest hotel I had ever stayed in. We had a room no 6 with large, very comfortable bed, kettle, tea and coffee and lovely big bathroom. There's a parking in front of the building so we had no trouble with the car. The owner kindly phoned and gave us instructions how to check in in case he wasn't there when we arrived. So our check in and out went absolutely without any problem. The location is fantastic, few minutes walk to main attractions, river trips, shops and places to eat. I highly recommend The Coach House.

GGuest UserThe location of this accommodation is perfect. Just 10-15 minutes walk from Canterbury West Train Station. There is a Sainsbury's local at the corner and the main street is just 2 minutes walk. The host is very nice and friendly. The room is clean, bed sheet and duvet smell good. For amenities, there are only hand wash and body wash, you have to bring your own stuffs. It's a good experience to stay in this accomodation.
