Being situated right in the heart of the village (with no nasty hills to climb to get to and from the pub!) it is close to everything - the lake, the mountains, the walks, the pubs, restaurants and takeaways! The house is very spacious and you have a large, comfortable lounge with wall-mounted TV, feature log-burner and comfy leather sofas. The dining room has a large table with seating for 6, plus a highchair should you need one. The kitchen is very well equipped - with microwave, cooker and hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine (there is a tumble dryer in the garage too), dishwasher and even a slow cooker - ideal for coming back to after a long day's walking and sightseeing! There are plenty of cupboards for storing food and the cupboards/draws are very well-equipped with everything you should need for cooking up a storm! On the ground floor there is also a toilet.On the first floor there are two bedrooms - one has a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside tables and also has the convenience of an en-suite shower room and WC. The other, very spacious, bedroom can either be a family room with two twin beds or a super-comfy superking bed. There is a wardrobe, ornamental fireplace and chest of drawers.On the top floor (can be a master suite) there is the master bedroom which enjoys views across to the mountains and has a kingsize bed, double built-in wardrobes, dressing table and chest of drawers. All of the bedrooms have large mirrors and electrical sockets. The master bathroom, also on the top floor, has fantastic views of Coniston Old Man and the pretty houses dotted around the base of the fells. There is a very luxurious roll-top bath and a separate shower cubicle, WC, wash hand basin plus storage for bathroom effects.Outside the kitchen door is a small back yard with bistro set and gate to private path, across which is the garage. The garage is very spacious and long, with parking for two cars. The garage houses the tumble dryer. To the rear of the garage there is a pretty little garden with patio and grass - and a picnic bench from where you can gaze up at the mountains with a cup of tea or something stronger!
