Situated in a courtyard once belonging to a working farm, and nestled at the end of a no-through road in a wooded valley, the Coach House sits with its neighbours. This cosy and cute cottage was once what the name implies, a coach house on a working farm. The large curved beam over the front door is evidence of its working history. Converted by the owners to a holiday cottage some 25 years ago, the stone cottage is welcoming and offers a lovely mix of traditional features and modern touches, including superfast broadband and local artwork.Under the curved beam and in through the front door, you will find yourself in the cosy lounge with a dining table and compact kitchen area. A woodburner is laid ready for your arrival, with a bag of complimentary logs too, so all you need to do is light the fire and relax. Perfect after a long journey or a busy day. There is a comfy sofa, a 42” smart TV and JBL sound bar, and a dining table with seating for two. The kitchen boasts a Neff oven, Leibherr fridge and dishwasher, and is well equipped with all you should need. Through the patio doors, you will find yourself on the decking, complete with another dining set to enjoy the sunny evenings, and this decking is a real sun trap. The decking overlooks the fields with pigs, sheep, chickens and a Shetland pony, with the stream, the Arberth, flowing through. With a laundry room on site, parking just outside your cottage, free-range hen eggs available from the owners, and grounds to explore, The Coach House is a perfect place for a relaxing break, or a base to explore the many beaches, the mountains of Bluestone country, and little market towns, or, if you prefer, it is a cosy and homely place to arrive, settle and relax…whatever your holiday means to you.In our little corner of Ceredigion, and just a stones throw from Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire, you’ll find some of the finest landscapes in Wales. Local towns and villages such as Cardigan, Newcastle Emlyn and Aberaeron are well known for their links to medieval Wales centuries ago and remain very much unspoilt, retaining their essence of Welshness. Whilst you are here, you can spend relaxing days visiting the abbey at St Dogmaels, The Welsh Wildlife Centre at Cilgerran, Cenarth Falls, stunning blue flag and dog friendly beaches with coast walks which you may even share with seals and dolphins as companions, breathtaking mountain walks in the Preselis, home of the bluestones used to create Stonehenge (just HOW did they get them there?!), market towns boasting eclectic and unique shops, and many more attractions, depending on your interests. Troedyrhiw itself lies at the very bottom of Ceredigion, close to the edge of the Pembrokeshire National Park, and the Ceredigion Heritage Coast. We are only 4 miles from Cardigan, famed for the fact that the newly restored Castle and house in the town was the site of the very first Welsh Eisteddfod (cultural festival) in 1176. Situated in the village of Ferwig, a mere 5min drive from the picturesque cove of Mwnt, this beautifully presented 5 bed farmhouse is ideal for large gatherings. The large open plan kitchen diner is the ideal convening place for families and friends alike and with two further reception rooms there's plenty of space for everyone. Upstairs you'll find 5 bedrooms whilst downstairs you'll find a comfortable lounge, a large open plan kitchen, adjoining sunroom, a snug and utility/shower room.Accommodation comprises of 5 bedrooms, one of which has an ensuite, 4 futher bedrooms and a family bathroom upstairs. Downstairs you'll find a comfortable lounge complete with smart tv and log burner, a large open plan kitchen diner with seating for 14, adjoining sunroom and a snug complete with a toy corner and large traditional fireplace. Further to this there is a utility and shower room, and a boot room with a large storage cupboard, ideal for storing muddy and sandy boots. Outside there is a small fully enclosed gravel area accessible from the sun room and a large enclosed paddock area accesible from the driveway. The kitchen is fully equipped should you wish to cook up a storm using the plethora of local ingredients available in Cardigan (5/10 min) or if cooking isn't your thing why not take the stress away and arrange a local private chef to come and cook for you, details can be provided. The dining area comfortably seats 14 (10 on the dining table and 4 on the island) and with the adjoining sunroom this provides a great space for being together. The sunroom is a lovely place to enjoy the afternoon sun and read the paper after a long morning walk and with the large patio doors dogs or younger guests can happily play safely in the courtyard whilst you chill. The snug has been designed with younger guests in mind, there is a little toy corner complete with a range of toys, books, puzzles and games for a range of ages and the beanbags provide comfy cosy seating for a film night. Whilst I'm sure older children will enjoy some screentime on the large tv. There is also a sofabed here for extra guests should it be required. In the lounge you'll find comfy seating, a large TV, log burner and a range of games and books. This is the ideal place to relax and put your feet up after a day exploring the local sights. There is a sofabed in this room also.Upstairs the bedrooms provide comfortable sleeping accomodation for 10 people with 3 bedrooms able to accomodate additional travelcots. Downstairs there are two sofabeds, taking the sleep accomodation to 14, a small supplement is required for this. The location of the house at the far end of the village means there is little to no light pollution so it provides an ideal spot for star gazing, maybe even a lucky sighting of the Northern Lights. Beautiful sunsets can be viewed from the cosy nook on the landing, an ideal space for curling up with a book and a cuppa or just taking in the countryside views. Gorgeous moon and sunrise views, especially in autumn and winter, are best viewed from bedroom one. The owners Sarah and Joey, being parents of two small children themselves, have done their upmost to make the property as welcoming and homely as possible, whilst maintaining an element of luxury.
