Local in the Tuscan countryside, charming. All you can ask for a relaxing and pleasant evening. Super friendly and friendly staff, despite a little delay due to the traffic found in the street, he greeted us and chocolated in a generous way. Superlative food and wine. Cut by acoline in the mouth, it was butter. I'm probably the best I ever eaten. I'm not looking forward to returning.

Went here for a VIP tour. The tour start with a lunch in their taverna. The food was amazing. We had a full four course meal with a ”cheese ball” starter, pasta as prima and veal as secondi with icrecream for desert. We have a great sampling of the vines from Banfi with the meal and great service. After the meal we went on a tour of the Banfi winery and ended up with a tasting. Our guide Paul did a fantastic job. This is a major brunello provider that goes back to 15th century with beautiful views. We loved the experience.

What a gem of a place. A little perspective: my new husband and I spent only 24 hours here as a part of our honeymoon. We traveled all through Italy for our honeymoon, staying in some spectacular, luxurious places from Villa d'Este on Lake Como to 5-star hotels across the country, and this place surpassed them all. It's a bit off the beaten path (maybe more than a 'bit'), but we loved that 'hidden' and remote quality. We really felt like we stumbled across something special. The grounds are impeccable, really immersive. There are just a few total suites, each one unique. There are spectacular views everywhere. It's somehow simultaneously incredibly private yet there's courteous staff around every corner, attending to any need you might have. The breakfast is ridiculously good, the dinner was amazing. They went above and beyond, even making a secret pineapple cake for my husband because I mentioned to them it's his favorite! Late-night cocktails were one of many highlights - a library/bar/living room becomes a custom, cart-service bar with Claudio giving you a show while creating delicious libations. The wine tasting with Astrid was delightful - she's super knowledgable, funny, and was attentive throughout our stay. Danila was always there anytime we needed anything - more food? Done. New drink? Done. Forgot a bag or jacket in the car? Went out herself in middle of the night to get it and bring it to our room! The incredible team is led by Alessia and Alessandro - what brilliant, kind, warm people. Short of literally holding our hands, Alessia gave us a tour of the grounds, helped us settle in, and made sure we always had what we needed, even helping us plan our next visit. Hearing we were driving to Rome from there, Alessandro took into account my dietary restrictions and packed us a lovely picnic lunch to-go, on the house! Of note, we also met two of owners, Corso and Brando, brothers who also live on the grounds. While opening their 'home' to us, they themselves were helping carry our bags and stepping up to help where needed. In short - we can't wait to return. Again, we stayed at ~16 different places over 3 weeks. This is the only one we NEED to revisit. We're already planning a longer Tuscan escape for 2024, hoping to make Vicarello our home.

Wow! Where do we begin... This was our 3rd time staying in Montalcino, but only our first time staying at Dimore della Muse, and we are so happy that we did. We wish that we discovered Dimore della Muse sooner. Not only was this our best stay ever in Montalcino, this was our favorite hotel/B&B that we have ever stood at anywhere in the world.  From the moment we booked our reservation online, we knew that we had made the right decision. After booking our reservation, Sara and Michele, the husband and wife team who own Dimore delle Muse emailed us almost immediately to confirm our booking, thank us for choosing to stay here, and provided an extensive list of things to do and see in the area while visiting Montalcino. This was not your typical automated booking confirmation email that most hotels send out. This was highly personalized, and was most definitely not an automated email. The suggestions were not your typical suggestions that you would find in a brochure or by doing a quick Google search online, they were a well thought out, personalized and diverse list of activities that offered something for everyone. It included restaurants, wineries, beautiful towns to visit and sites to see, some of which are very close by and some of which made for a beautiful short road trip about 45 minutes away. All of their recommendations were outstanding, well thought out, and carefully curated based on their personal experiences. These suggestions kept us more than occupied and very happy throughout our stay there. We are so grateful and appreciative that they provided us with this, and we had not even arrived in Montalcino yet! :) Once we arrived in Sant'Angelo in Colle, we were greeted with the warmest of welcomes, as if we were friends who had not seen each other in a long time, despite the fact this was our first time meeting. Our bags were extremely heavy, and we had several of them as we were traveling from Piemonte prior and had packed a fair share of wine to bring back home to NY with us. Despite the quantity of bags and their weight, Michele insisted on carrying our bags inside and simply would not take no for an answer. This was far too generous, especially considering there were a good amount of steps that they had to be carried up.  After unloading our bags, Sara and Michele gave us a tour of their beautiful hotel. The hotel opened around 4 years ago, and was completely renovated at that time. The renovations are absolutely gorgeous. They retained the building's beautiful identity inside and out, tastefully applied some modern touches, and created what we believe to be a magnificent, gorgeous retreat in the beautiful little town of Sant'Angelo in Colle. After entering the building you will notice a beautiful courtyard which we've attached photos of. This is where we enjoyed breakfast every day. A superb 11th-century castle hotel with unparalleled views of the Tuscan mountains from both swimming pools. Moreover, the bath salts used in the swimming pool have no chlorine smell at all. The room is exquisitely decorated and has a balcony where you can enjoy the sun and eat snacks outdoors😘
