"This hotel is lovely and we slept well. The desk service was friendly and helpful and the location is good for the train station, shopping, and the cultural visits like the Himeji Castle.
The hotel also has a surprise- a chapel on the 14th floor and a stained glass window and pretty lights decorating the hallway at the entrance.
Furthermore, the hotel has a little cafe and is in the same building as some convenient shopping."
"The location is perfect, with a walkable distance to the JR station and shopping street. There are plenty of restaurants and cafe nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy. We could see the Himeji castle from our room. We really enjoyed the stay. Highly recommended!"
"This is a five star hotel in a three star body. Rooms are TINY, like scandanavian homes, but everything was clean and fresh, staff were outstanding, we could store out bags before and after our stay, missing personal articles available for free downstairs. Clear rooftop vie of the castle so you don't have to leave the hotel for beutiful shots of the castle. Near a huge gorgeous, covered pedetrian only walking are. Only sorry to have had only one night here."
"it's a typical Japanese business hotel, small but clean and efficient. good location, a few minutes walk from the station, easy to go to everywhere by foot too. Staffs are nice and helpful. Will surely recommend it."
"Very close to Himeji station and is a straightforward walk to the castle. Large, busy business hotel. Receptionist at check-in had great English and was very informative. Dated room, poorly insulated for sound and temperature, but with a comfortable bed, a fridge, a kettle and an air-conditioning unit that could heat the room. I was in room 1501, which overlooks the station and would be wonderful for trainspotters (a little noisy for everyone else). The hotel offers a basic canteen-style breakfast and dinner, which made it good value for money. It also offers separate male and female bath/sauna areas, but I didn't try this."
"The hotel is very close to the JR station, just a few minutes away. The front desk service was excellent, and the room view was quite nice.
The room was well-equipped; while not as large as a domestic hotel, it had everything you needed.
I checked in quite late and missed the late-night snacks and lounge. However, the complimentary tea bags and coffee were excellent, and I even enjoyed a relaxing bath with bath salts the next morning.
Breakfast was a buffet, with optional add-ons, but I didn't choose any. There's a FamilyMart and a McDonald's within walking distance of the JR station, so breakfast is readily available."
"We had a very spacious corner twin room for 2 of us! So generous! Also the onsen was very clean and we loved it! Parking was full when we arrived but they directed us to a nearby parking lot with fixed parking rate. Love this place!"
"Great hotel, nice facilities, specially the baths. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is also within walking distance from himeji station and close to a groceries. The only downside for me was that my room was on the 3rd floor close to the pedestrian crossing. No noise at night, but in the morning you will get the sound from the crossing giving green light to the pedestrian."
"Booked a double room on the refurbished floor 30m (extra bed)
Right outside the south exit of Himeji Station, friendly service, luggage storage available
It's a completely new room, the bed is not too soft, and there are 2 different pillows.
Long and deep bathtub, large amount of water, DHC toiletries, strong hair dryer
Free bottled water, coffee machine, tea bags
Breakfast is also delicious"
"Quiet location but still only minutes from station and shops. We stayed for an extended period as visiting family and Stayed in a twin room which is a very good size. Plenty of room to ‘live’ . Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was very good, great choices and all very fresh. The breakfast area being used as a ‘lounge’ with free drinks from 2-8pm was very useful. Cannot speak highly enough of our stay.
One very minor thing, is that there is no room safe so if you feel the need to lock valuables away they have to be deposited with reception.
Would highly recommend Richmond Hotel."

Amazing
GGuest UserThe air conditioner was not working easily and it was a little cold.
Others were clean and wide overall and very good.
Because there is Himeji Jo castle nearby, I walked a little, but it was very good to see the light up at night.
GGuest UserExcellent river, kayseke's dinner was delicious, good service. Very liked Onsen on the street. There is a transfer from the station waiting, but it is premature to write or call the hotel.
IIrene SheApart from the water supply issue in the room, the rest are perfect. The breakfast was good, and the night views from the hotel was spectacular. The water supply in the room was too slow, and I had to go to the public bathroom for brushing teeth. The staff offered to upgrade us to another room, but we don't like the 2 single beds room so we decided to stay in the one King bedroom that we reserved.
SSHEN シェンVery comfortable and spacious space, the proprietress also gave a warm introduction
There is still a place to park bicycles, and there is a shopping street at the door
If you are hungry at night, you can go to the nearby Lawson to buy something to eat
GGuest UserOne of the receptionists speaks French well and we could exchange with him without problems. The spa/ sauna space is identical for men and women but is differentiated according to the time: 1 man and 1 woman in the morning and evening.
