"It was a very beautiful and comfortable inn.
Breakfast is very delicious and very satisfying as it is reputation.
The bath was clean and slow.
I want to stay again when I go to Kesennuma."
"Wonderful hotel. Single room was really big for japanese standard and had everything you need to spend the evening after dinner (TV, wifi, kettle with tea bags, fridge). In the reception hall there is a coffee machine for free. The room didn't have shower (but had toilet and separate sink with toiletry). The onsen is free for all guests and it is really a must! Breakfast was great, too! Parking is free."
"This hotel is closest to Kesennuma Station. Exit the entrance and cross the signal to reach the station. The ocean is far away and invisible. It used to be a breakfast buffet, but now it is a set. If you walk around a little bit, you will find Shibunomiya, a delicious sushi restaurant and a tavern."
"First of all, I was surprised that the room was too large. It was very luxurious and very beautiful for a double room!
The receptionist also kindly and politely served us. Simple amenities were available in the lobby, umbrellas were rented for free on rainy days, and parking was also available without charge.
As you can see in the photo, it was quite close to the sea. Unfortunately it was raining, so I wish I could see the sunny view!
I visited Kesennuma for the first time, and it became part of my happy memories. Thank you very much! I would like to ask if you have a connection again!"
"This is a majestic place to stay. Fantastic room, onsen and staff hospitality. It is also walkable but includes an incline that is a bit perilous. The breakfast buffet was infinite but somehow looked better than it tasted. There are numerous transportation options that I didn’t know about before arrival so be sure to inquire."
"One of the best ryokans in Kesennuma! The entire place is exceptionally clean, and the rooms are very spacious with a separate bath and toilet inside—a rare find in many other ryokans. The dinner was incredible, featuring the freshest local seafood like uni (sea urchin), oysters, and beautifully prepared sashimi. A nice bonus: if you call in advance, they’ll even pick you up from the nearest station in a mini car. Highly recommended for a relaxing and authentic stay!"
"The hotel by the sea, there is a height standard left by the tsunami on the outer wall, a rare hotel, there is a century-old clock after the restoration. Free drinks on the first floor! Service attitude is also very good. There are fewer restaurants around. I will definitely go there next time. I like the girl at the front desk very beautiful and the attitude is very good!"
"Absolutely wonderful experience!! Newly built hotel due to 2011 tsunami. The room was spotless, comfortable, with an amazing view overlooking the Pacific Ocean and even had a small balcony! Dinner was a multi-course meal prepared by Chef Koichi Ito and was both delicious and beautifully presented. Staff was very kind, taking the time to use google translate to help explain to us what each dish was; there was also English instructions prepared for us when we checked in and when we were at breakfast. Would highly recommend this hotel, and I hope to return to this beautiful area of Japan and stay here again someday!"
