"I'm giving this hotel a mediocre rating, mainly because the room was cramped and didn't match the pictures. The actual room was significantly smaller than advertised; even for a solo traveler, it felt cramped, and for two people, it would be downright crowded. Our luggage ended up piled at the foot of the bed, leaving very little space to move around. The wide-angle shots in the photos definitely exaggerated the sense of space, which was misleading. I'd recommend the hotel use more true-to-life photos in the future. On the plus side, the room was generally clean, the air conditioning worked well, and the Wi-Fi was stable. It's okay as a temporary, transitional place to stay. If you're just looking for a place to sleep and aren't too bothered by a lack of space, it might be an option, but if you're seeking a comfortable stay, I'd advise looking elsewhere."
"This place is nicer than I thought.
I thought it’s some kind of cheap capsule hostel.
But I was wrong once I stepped inside.
The inner is like a 5star hotel.
Everything is new and clean.
The capsule itself is big enough for one person.
Just a bit troublesome is the toilet and shower place is located in different place.
But nothing to complain with this price and quality.
And there is a Lawson just outside the hotel!"
"2nd time staying here, somehow I found the food standard has dropped compared to 5yrs ago. Room is very comtemplary, very nice, but A/C is very weak for summer, is too warm to sleep with blanket."
"Can not beat this location for this price. Stayed here 2 out of 3 trips to Niseko, and the only trip we didn't was because they had not reopened post covid when we booked. That trip was tough for us to carry all ski/snow equipment and lug a toddler around. This place, even without ski-in/out anymore is still super accessible to the slopes behind. Short walk down the hill, cut right between some buildings at you're at the foot of the hill with ski shops, schools and lifts.
There's a large convenience store that sells toiletries, bentos, snacks and a huge range of wines just across the street. Next to that is a very popular ramen shop with a 2-3 hour wait time. It works for us because we head there after the slopes, get a queue number, head back to the hotel to sit in front of the wood fireplace, have a shower, take a nap even then head back just in time for our queue number to be called. Couldn't ask for more.
O yes, the traditional wood fireplace is just amazing too."
"I think this is a perfect hotel, the service is very good, clean and hygienic. I stayed in a family room, which is very spacious, well-equipped, with a private bath, and can cook. Although the breakfast is limited, it is very delicious and exquisite. The price is very cheap in the off-season, and the cost performance is very high. I was very surprised."
"Trip.com has always been my go to for travel bookings. Similarly this time to Niseko, decided to extend for an additional week and MyEcolodge came up in the search.
I have to mention the checkin was seamless, but what I thought i booked, vastly differ from what was allocated for me. I thought what i booked was a room to myself however it turns out as a shared room. Its not a big deal but the feeling of misinterpretation leaves an awful taste.
(Trip.com CS stepped in and helped to clarify things but theres nothing that could be done. peak season, and everywhere else is fully booked or without paying a premium)
That said, the stay was good. MyEcolodge sits in a very convenient location just couple stops from Hirafu. Theres various buses including free shutters so thats really an ease off the mind)
7eleven, a small cafe, hotpot/shabushabu restaurant just sits across from you. The hostel also has their own cafeteria though ive never eaten there (food looks good though).
They have a huge storage room for your gears, pretty safe so no worries. pantry, laundry room, washroom are pretty spacious and kept tidy.
The room itself is fine, nothing to wow about. nothing to complain either. Towels are free and clean. Everything else you need to pay.
Overall good stay.
Pray hard you get nice room mates if youre sharing!"
"The room is a comfortable size for 4 adults. But you have to take turns unpacking your bags. The location is ok. There are restaurants within walking distance near the accommodation. And then there's the hotel's shabu and grill buffet, a bit Chinese in style. (The hotel offers discounts.) There should be a Chinese person in charge. When checking in, it's a bit confusing because it's a self check-in. In front of the hotel is a staircase. You have to walk down from the road about 5-6 up."
"Clean and accessible via shuttle bus (though infrequently) or via GO car. Staff were helpful and polite. There is a diner downstairs (Midtown Diner) which is convenient if it is snowing hard and you need to eat in for lunch/dinner. There are rooms to store ski equipment, and coin washing machines for easy laundry. There were also some nice Christmas decorations at the lobby."
"The hotel will provide pick-up and drop-off when there is check in and check out. However, it is very convenient to go out to the free shuttle site. I feel that the location is very central, both sides are places where the restaurant is very concentrated, and there is a supermarket across the road. Hotel waiters are Australians, English is no problem.
The bathroom steps in the room are high so be careful to trip over."
"Very cost-effective apartment, good hygiene, and roommates are very civilized"
