"This is the most worry-free place because there are no shops and restaurants near these hot springs. This hotel has a hot spring private soup and delicious breakfast and dinner. You can stay here quietly for a few days, all in all very good, will come next time"
"Wonderful room, service, and overall experience. The room was equipped with a gas heater that quickly warmed the room up despite the January cold. There were also cups, a tea pot, satchels of green tea, and an electric kettle to prepare tea in the room. The onsen bath was very hot and wonderful and the futon and pillows were comfortable. 5/5 experience!"
"We had a wonderful stay! We especially liked the location - walking distance to small downtown Shima, yet far enough to have less tourists walking around. The hot springs were great, food was delicious (especially if you want to try authentic local Gunma prefecture cuisine - might not be best for children), and the nightly traditional paper story telling was also great. We took a train + bus ride from Tokyo and the local bus (40min ride) from Nakanojyo station stops right in front of the hotel. We will come back again for sure!"
"The price I paid was only an ordinary room type, which was inconsistent with the room type shown on the website. Fortunately, I reflected with the hotel, and at the same time, I just had a room, so I could go back to the room type shown in the photo. The hotel said that the room type in the photo, the price is expensive for each person 5000-7000yen! Thank you very much for letting me live in the room type I want to live in. So pay attention to the situation where the website pictures do not match the facts. The hotel environment is good, dinner is a buffet, there is a Japanese hot pot, and a delicious burdock! Staff are friendly and helpful. Good choice if you want to spend a leisurely and quiet time."
"We stayed here during a two-day ski trip. I found this inn very appealing, especially since I had never seen it on social media. There are only a few rooms, so it was quiet and very comfortable. We were worried about which one to choose, but we stayed at ”Kiri,” which has an open-air bath in the room, and it was better than we expected, so we took a bath five times (lol). We'll definitely come back here again! We've been saying that ever since we got back. However, we didn't get a plan that included dinner, so we were hoping to eat at a nearby restaurant, but all the restaurants closed early, so we were left without food, which was a bit of a downside^^; Next time we stay, we'll make sure to make a reservation for meals!! The inn itself was really nice and the best. Thank you for your hospitality."
"Absolutely beautiful location and multiple hot spring options! The buffet breakfast was exquisite as well ask the multi-course dinner. Sadly we only were able to stay one night but waking up in morning to see beautiful flurries of snow surrounded by mountains was much more magical and memorable than I imagined! During our stay, I even lost my camera and the staff were so kind to go down the mountain and mail it to me at the airport, speak Japanese to the staff at the airport to help me find it and I am forever grateful for their kindness and service. If I lost my camera I would’ve lost all my photos and videos of the trip! The staff speak Chinese and fluent English and so it was really easy to communicate with them. Will definitely come back!! Thank you Shima Tamura!"
