"Dai-ichi Takimotokan is an exceptional ryokan that offers an unforgettable onsen experience in Noboribetsu. The highlight is its large variety of hot spring baths, both indoor and outdoor, allowing guests to relax while enjoying beautiful natural surroundings. Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, blending traditional Japanese style with modern amenities. The buffet meals are impressive, with a wide selection of fresh Japanese and international dishes. Staff are courteous, attentive, and provide excellent hospitality throughout the stay. Overall, Dai-ichi Takimotokan is perfect for travelers seeking relaxation, quality service, and an authentic Japanese onsen experience."
"The hotel is small and very quiet. It seems to have been open for many years; the rooms are a bit old but spacious, and the bedding is comfortable. The service is typical of a traditional Japanese onsen hotel – excellent and attentive. The dinner was amazing; it's the best I've had at any onsen hotel. Every dish was delicious, and I cleared them all even though I was stuffed. Breakfast was also incredibly tasty, ranking second among all the onsen hotel breakfasts I've had (my top spot is still Hanatei in Kawaguchiko). Be sure to try the free coffee; it's delicious and surpasses many coffee shop offerings. The elderly gentleman I met at the front desk had white hair but a straight posture and spoke excellent English. Overall, I highly recommend this onsen hotel."
"The service was great, and I had no issues communicating in English the entire time. There's a direct bus from New Chitose Airport to the hotel; you just need to email them to book it. There's also a bus back to Sapporo, which also requires a reservation. The food was just okay. They have both indoor and outdoor onsen. It's quite close to the attractions, though there's a long downhill stretch that might be inconvenient in rain or snow. I'd definitely consider staying here again."
"upon arriving we dropped off our bags, a trolley was provided which we used bringing our luggage all the way to the room,
check-in was quick and efficient and the room warm and cosy, couldn't find the temperature controller but found the fan speed, low, medium and high, room was cool, perfect,
yukatas were provided for use within the hotel, dinning hall and onsen, freshly laundered,
food was excellent, buffet style dinner and breakfast, yummy, lots of carparking"
"We booked a two-day stay at this ryokan. A miscalculated itinerary on the first day resulted in us arriving at the JR station in the middle of the night. Our phone power bank ran out of battery, making it impossible to call a taxi, reach the ryokan, or contact the hotel. We apologize for any inconvenience. The next morning, we arrived at the ryokan and informed the front desk staff that we hadn't rested well the previous night, asking for a more comfortable room. The hotel graciously accommodated our request and upgraded us to a larger room. The room boasted a beautiful mountain view from the window. The room was furnished in classic Japanese style, with a spacious tatami mat that could accommodate four mats, approximately one meter long. The living room had two cute and delicious snacks and tea-making facilities. The entrance to the ryokan was a long, beautifully decorated Japanese-style corridor. We were very satisfied with our stay. Thank you, owner!"
"The room is very spacious, with separate bathroom, washroom and shower room. Both bedrooms are equipped with high-power air conditioners, Dyson humidifiers and heating and cooling fans. The living room and other spaces are also very large.
Ershi's meals are also carefully prepared. When dining in the room, the staff will deliver the meals to the room and introduce them one by one. The complimentary drinks are also plentiful and the pudding is very delicious.
There are no private hot springs. The public hot springs have two indoor and outdoor pools, with a capacity of 9 people. Bath towels, towels, and various toiletries are provided. The room is equipped with yukata socks, which is very thoughtful."
"Nice place that is super near the train station. Will need to take a bus to get to the popular spots like Hell valley, but it’s convenient since the bus stops is nearby. The room is clean and cosy. Common area is rather large as well. Breakfast is basic with bread and cereal, nothing to shout about. Great for solo travellers"
"Great location – just a short walk to Hell Valley and surrounded by lots of restaurants and shops. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Free yukata is provided, so you can walk around the onsen town in style. The best part is the unlimited access to both the inn’s own hot spring and the big Takimotokan Grand Bath. There’s also a bakery in the lobby with fresh bread and coffee.
Cons : Wi-Fi is very poor (especially in the rooms), check-out is early at 10am, and the natural sulphur smell from the hot springs is noticeable not only around town but also sometimes in the rooms.
Overall, a convenient and affordable stay."
"Hotel is very nice with good food. In room onsen is the best. Only downside is no transportation between Noboribetsu Station to the hotel. Need to take the bus to hot spring street entrance and walk for 17 min which is not easy in winter time."
"This is one of our best stays - everything is top notch from cleanliness, food, service and the onsen. We booked the type D room with a private onsen - both public and private ones are excellent. The staff can speak reasonable Engliah, very polite, helpful and professional. We like the lady (she is from Chiba) who serves us dinner and breakfast very much! The food quality is very good - well plated, fresh and flavourful. They accommodated my quite last min request for a non-seafood dietary. The ryokan is quiet and we love it a lot (feel more private too). Love the fact that they do not allow shoes into the Ryokan (they will keep them properly for you), as it keep the room and public area clean. We will plan to stay here again (for longer period!)."
