Xxiecheng 333The service was excellent! Especially the friendly and cheerful young man at the front desk and the lady working in the dining area. They were incredibly helpful, even assisting us with booking a taxi when our original ride didn't show up. The dinner was also incredibly rich and varied. After finishing what I thought was the last course, I almost left, only to discover there were still main courses and dessert! It was quite amusing. Sleeping on a tatami mat was a new experience; the bed was already made for us by dinner time, so we didn't have to worry about a thing. It was also fun for our family of three to stay in one room. The hotel is super close to the Bear Park, just a 3-minute walk. It's also only a 10-minute walk to Jigokudani (Hell Valley), so there's no need to worry about the sulfur smell. Overall, a really great stay!

DDi TanThis traditional Japanese ryokan features a private onsen and is located about 8 minutes on foot from the main road with restaurants and 20 minutes from the entrance to Jigokudani (Hell Valley). The interior is beautifully maintained in classic style, with tatami flooring throughout the common areas and guest rooms, which are furnished with comfortable futon bedding.
The rooms are clean, spacious, and well-equipped with amenities. Anything not already provided can be taken from the selection near the reception. Guests receive a yukata to wear around the ryokan and to the onsen. Complimentary drinks are available at reception, though they request you enjoy them in your room rather than common areas.
The gender-separated onsen, while small, has everything needed for a relaxing soak. Each bathing area includes both indoor and outdoor pools, and they alternate daily between men's and women's use. During my stay, it was never crowded.
One disappointment was being unable to book the in-room dinner service upon morning arrival, as it was apparently too late to arrange. Those interested should probably reserve at least a day in advance.
Overall, it's a comfortable, authentic ryokan experience with superb service and good facilities.

舒舒SHUThe hostel is very close by, right outside the station. The front desk staff are friendly, fluent in English, and will show you around and help you upstairs to your bed. Self-check-in is not available, so please check in before 9 PM! The first floor is a common area with a kitchen, washing machine, shoe cabinet, and seating area. The second floor has a female room, a mixed-gender room, and separate male and female toilets. You must remove your shoes before going upstairs, so the room is very clean! The wooden floors in the room look quite cozy, but they may be a bit old and noisy when walking. You can also hear noise from the next room while sleeping, but free earplugs are provided. There's only one power outlet by the bed, so an extension cord is recommended. The hallway is small, so it's not recommended to bring suitcases; backpacks may have to be placed on the bed. Breakfast is provided: thick toast, various jams, coffee, fresh milk, and cereal. 👍🏻 Luggage storage is free; the front desk staff will arrange for you to store your luggage. 👍🏻

GgujijiIt's a small hotel. There are two old people at the reception. The environment is very friendly and family-friendly. There are few people in the hot spring, so it is very comfortable. There are indoor and outdoor hot springs, and the water temperature is also marked. The experience is good. The breakfast and dinner are also rich, with many varieties and good taste.

Hygiene: Clean, no complaints here.
Ambiance: Traditional Japanese atmosphere. It's not an 'Instagrammable' spot, but it's very comfortable and pleasant.
Service: Decent, neither good nor bad. The server auntie at mealtime was very friendly and approachable. However, there was an old man at the front desk who was a bit mediocre; they didn't help with luggage, which is something that could be improved.

GGuest UserOur family of three comfortably stayed in a room that featured both a tatami mat area and a Western bed. Upon check-in, we were given traditional Japanese yukata. The onsen (hot spring baths) are conveniently located on the B1 floor. For breakfast, there was a good selection of both Japanese and Western dishes. The hotel's location is also quite close to Jigokudani.

YYUEI lived in Noboribetsu and this atrium, and I still prefer this one. If I go to Noboribetsu next time, I will stay there again. On the mountain Noboribetsu, pick-up service at 2:00 and 4:00 pm (pick-up at JR station) is available after booking with the hotel. The hotel is good, just don't like their public slippers (woven straw uppers). If you don't wear socks, you will feel a little sticky, but so is the flower atrium. The open-air style of the house is very good. It is relatively large. You can take a look at the snow on the pine trees while soaking in the hot spring. It feels very natural and much stronger than the open-air style of the flower atrium. I ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel, but it was really bad. This may be my own problem. I am not used to eating. The ice cream at the kiosk downstairs is delicious, you buy it every day, and it's easy to buy water. There is a small park in front of the hotel, the snow is very thick, you can play with snow, and there is no one. It is clean and very comfortable. A 15-minute walk from the hotel is the Noboribetsu ski resort. It is very convenient to play snow and there are very few people. In short, it is quite satisfactory.
