ahv⭐︎This was our first family trip, and we stayed here for the first time.
The building had a homey atmosphere and simple interior design. It was very conveniently located, with a Seicomart nearby and a Coop within walking distance, allowing us to relax and enjoy our stay.
There was a table and chairs for outdoor BBQ. A BBQ set was provided, making preparation quick and easy, but it would be great if they also provided fans. We were able to buy other items nearby, but we struggled to find fans.🤣 We also couldn't find a charcoal pot, so it would be helpful if it were easier to locate. However, the mosquito coils, insect repellent items, and kitchen facilities were more comprehensive than we expected, making cleanup easy and showing great consideration.
It's highly recommended for families. 😊
The parking lot is spacious, but please be careful if you have a large vehicle as the road is narrow.
It's a great base for sightseeing around Shiraoi and Noboribetsu. ✨✨

When planning my first trip to Sapporo, I really wanted to include a hot spring experience. Naturally, Noboribetsu came to mind for hot springs, and that's how I found Hanaya while looking for a ryokan in the area.
I'd seen reviews mentioning its location at the entrance of Noboribetsu made it a bit far, which wasn't an issue for us since we had a rental car. However, upon arrival, I realized it's not that far at all, and it's perfectly walkable unless it's extremely cold and snowy.
The hot springs are separated for men and women, and the bath locations switch daily. Each gender's bath area has one indoor and one outdoor bath. Since the ryokan itself is small, if you time it right, you can often have the place to yourself. Maybe you'll encounter just one or two other guests? It's a genuine sulfur hot spring; remember to shower briefly before entering and keep towels and hair out of the water.
You can't talk about a ryokan without mentioning kaiseki! We booked a stay for four people including dinner and breakfast, and dinner was kaiseki. It was served course by course, looked absolutely beautiful, and I found it incredibly delicious. For the price point, I was thoroughly satisfied.
In the lobby, there are complimentary drinks available, including sake and beer, which you can enjoy as much as you like.
Even though it's a small ryokan, they upgraded our room, and the staff were legendary for their kindness. It was a truly satisfying ryokan experience. I hope to visit again if I get the chance.

The hostel is very close by, right outside the station. The front desk staff are friendly, fluent in English, and will show you around and help you upstairs to your bed. Self-check-in is not available, so please check in before 9 PM! The first floor is a common area with a kitchen, washing machine, shoe cabinet, and seating area. The second floor has a female room, a mixed-gender room, and separate male and female toilets. You must remove your shoes before going upstairs, so the room is very clean! The wooden floors in the room look quite cozy, but they may be a bit old and noisy when walking. You can also hear noise from the next room while sleeping, but free earplugs are provided. There's only one power outlet by the bed, so an extension cord is recommended. The hallway is small, so it's not recommended to bring suitcases; backpacks may have to be placed on the bed. Breakfast is provided: thick toast, various jams, coffee, fresh milk, and cereal. 👍🏻 Luggage storage is free; the front desk staff will arrange for you to store your luggage. 👍🏻

maggiewang526This hotel is just a one-minute walk from the hot spring bus station, and it's wonderfully quiet. The rooms are very close to the hot springs, only a five-minute walk away. If you're staying here, you definitely shouldn't miss dinner – it's incredibly varied, they have a Chinese menu, and the staff are all very attentive and friendly.

Though a bit old, it's very clean. The buffet is generous and the hot springs are comfortable. It's located right across from the bus terminal, and just a few minutes' walk to Jigokudani (Hell Valley). Great value for money, convenient transportation, and excellent service.

YUEI lived in Noboribetsu and this atrium, and I still prefer this one. If I go to Noboribetsu next time, I will stay there again. On the mountain Noboribetsu, pick-up service at 2:00 and 4:00 pm (pick-up at JR station) is available after booking with the hotel. The hotel is good, just don't like their public slippers (woven straw uppers). If you don't wear socks, you will feel a little sticky, but so is the flower atrium. The open-air style of the house is very good. It is relatively large. You can take a look at the snow on the pine trees while soaking in the hot spring. It feels very natural and much stronger than the open-air style of the flower atrium. I ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel, but it was really bad. This may be my own problem. I am not used to eating. The ice cream at the kiosk downstairs is delicious, you buy it every day, and it's easy to buy water. There is a small park in front of the hotel, the snow is very thick, you can play with snow, and there is no one. It is clean and very comfortable. A 15-minute walk from the hotel is the Noboribetsu ski resort. It is very convenient to play snow and there are very few people. In short, it is quite satisfactory.

They have both indoor and outdoor open-air hot springs. The buffet breakfast / Dinner are fantastic — plenty of variety with fresh Hokkaido ingredients. The hotel offers shuttle service to/from JR Sapporo Station and New Chitose Airport. You need to email the hotel in advance to book it. It's not free but very reasonably priced — definitely worth it for the convenience. From Noboribetsu JR station ,you can take a bus (last stop is right in front of the hotel), so access is convenient. Nearby attractions like Jigokudani (Hell Valley) are within walking distance.
