The hot spring is a clear, colorless, simple hot spring, and the men's bathroom has five baths of different temperatures, two of which have water added because they are from a high-temperature source, and there is also a semi-open-air bath outside. I took my time bathing in the baths of different temperatures. The water was free-flowing from the source and felt very pleasant. The bathing fee is 500 yen."

"This was my first stay at the hotel's West Wing. It's a large hotel with several hot spring pools, both indoor and outdoor. However, I wasn't used to the sulfur smell throughout the hotel and even in the room. It's very close to the onsen town and Hell Valley. Be aware that restaurants in the onsen town close early; when we went at 7 PM, most were already shut, with only one 7-Eleven open."

"Facilities: Absolutely fantastic! Cleanliness: As expected from a Japanese hotel, impeccable. Ambiance: Elegant. Service: Warm and welcoming. This hotel was our first stop on our trip to Japan and it completely exceeded our expectations. Although it was a bit pricey, my family of three all agreed it was worth every penny. It honestly made all the subsequent hotels on our trip feel just 'okay' in comparison. We chose the 'one night, two meals' plan, and the D-type room came with a hot spring bath. The sushi at dinner was incredible – far better than what you'd get at a high-end restaurant in a major city (where you'd pay around 1300 JPY per person), and even better than the sushi we had in Sapporo and Tokyo. Breakfast was extensive, and the staff were incredibly polite and enthusiastic. We will definitely be back and will book the same hotel and room type again. This is the first hotel I've ever felt compelled to recommend; it's so much better than anything you'd find back home! It's rare to find a hotel that makes you want to linger and return."

"Room view is nice when in winter. Book for 1 day stay with buffet dinner and breakfast. Dinner and breakfast both very delicious and many choices especially came with ice cream as dessert. Bathroom in room was small but we didn’t shower in there as onsen provided. Parking is outdoor so will need to remove snow on car in the morning by ourselves."
