"5-min walk from the station. 10 min from the castle and 15 min from the beach. Located at a quiet street and faced to the old historical like buildings which was the food plaza. Supermarkets and restaurants around. The hotel seemed quite new with 3 elevators. Room was not big but clean and had a good view of the castle. The breakfast was excellent with many choices. I stayed there for 4 nights. Some dishes were changed everyday. I even found 鱆魚燒 one day. Very surprised! It was definitely a cozy stay. I would surely stay here next time."
"Facilities: This onsen ryokan is conveniently located right next to Odawara Station, making it incredibly easy to visit Hakone. You can even do a day trip there using just the Hakone Free Pass.
Cleanliness: Spotlessly clean.
Environment: The views from the higher floors are fantastic, offering a distant view of the ocean.
Service: The buffet breakfast was exceptionally generous and delicious – highly recommended!"
"The host's service is very good, and there is also a cute little orange cat (but it is a free-range cat that appears randomly. I was lucky enough to see it. It is very cute and not afraid of people ~ I went to find a friend, and it turned out that my friend and the host also knew each other. What a coincidence! The host is very kind, well-equipped and clean. He prepares souvenir towels for each guest, and provides free bathrobes as pajamas (you can choose the color). There is also a lovely rooftop, which is very suitable for friends who want to experience the hotel."
"It's a little distance from Odawara Station, but it's not a big problem. The room is very good. A family of three can stay there without any problem. Clean and tidy. It has the taste of home. You can cook by yourself, but you don't know how to use a gas stove. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas. The apartment has a front desk at 9 am, and you can enter the room by swiping your card after the time. Highly recommended."
"Booked this place in a mild panic after realizing my Hakone hotel was 20km too far and all public transport had turned into pumpkins. As emergency landings go, this one wasn’t bad — certainly more convenient (and probably less ruinous) than playing taxi roulette that late at night.
The hotel is exactly what you’d expect if “business trip” were a room. Functional, clean, nothing you’d write home about unless your home loves minimalist efficiency. About the same size as my Tokyo hotel — enough space to breathe, not enough to twirl dramatically.
Reception had an actual person (a refreshing plot twist), though check-in came with a small side quest involving payment déjà vu. All fine in the end, just mildly confusing.
Overall, a perfectly decent 4/5. It’s not trying to charm you — it’s trying to keep you from sleeping at the station. And in that, it absolutely delivers."
"The hostel is located on the second floor of an apartment building. The room is very new and overall very comfortable and very clean with a cozy lobby. Compared to other youth hostels I stayed in, there were particularly many Western tourists carrying large hiking bags.
Since the business district of Odawara City is concentrated around the station, there are few restaurants and supermarkets near the hostel, and there are no washers and dryers provided. It takes you approximately 8 minutes to walk to the laundry and the centered area of the city. But overall it is still very comfortable, and it is recommended for solo travelers!
"I hope they improve the direction information because we were stranded there with out transportation to the train station on Saturday morning. Thank God for Mr. Hiroyuki who volunteered to drive us to the station to go on our way.
The place is beautiful but needs more activities and entertainment."
"Older hotel - room nicely upgraded. Problem was, hotel only had 1 small old elevator for all of the hotel. Slow and inconvenient. Staff excellent and safe parking for our trikes."
"The hotel room is relatively small, but well-equipped
Compared with similar hotels, it is relatively clean
The location is very good, between Odawan Castle and the station, there are many kinds of shops around"
"Not enough, but one sentiment is satisfied with a visit to a recreational car"
