It was an inn near Shin-Toyama, a mountain with a magnificent view. Rather, it's the only hotel in Korona-ka that has the largest capacity of any of the most closed accommodations, and is commendable on its own. In the plan I used, the price was less than 10,000 yen, but I was satisfied with everything. I've seen reviews after I got home, but it's not worth the criticism. I will tell you that the room, food, and customer service were all good enough to make you smile. Especially, the ”Hitomebore” rice was extremely delicious.
Stayed for family trip in the prefecture. I was happy to have two children in the room with a wide 々 with a veranda. The view from the veranda was also very good! I was very grateful to have beds attached in advance and prepare extra beds for children. There was a bed for 1 people, but I slept with everyone in a big bed, but I could sleep well even if there were bad children (laughs) The meal was very delicious. The seafood of BBQ was luxurious and surprised! Cospa is the best! I'm worried if I'm not mistaken for other guests (laughs) The children were crazy about bone sausage and big shrimp fry! The rental bath was good. I thought it was smart and good to stick a seal at the time of hope. It was a half hour, and I thought it would be good to have a little longer. I want to go again! Thank you for your help.
Lots to love in the town of Matsushima, Miyagi Prefecture. 1.5 hours N of Tokyo, Sendai Shinkansen stop. This hotel was very conveniently located next to the local train station. Has elevator. Rooms fit 4 for sleeping on futon/tatami mats. Pluses: traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast were worth the experience! Hot Spring/bath area was clean (older but ok). Rooms equipped with tea service and instructions. Very close to all the action in town. Coffee machine with cappuccino and espresso in lobby. Potential opportunities: absolutely no one speaks English. Pantomime and google translate resolved successfully. Serious minus of the hotel is the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke, particularly common areas. Non smoking room not available. That all said, I’d stay there again for location and food. I’d open the window wider. Staff was delightful and very gracious.

Reserve a 10-tatami Japanese-style room in Takagikan with two meals. We are a family of three with children. The room was spacious enough for a family of three. In addition, we have prepared a room with a good view overlooking Matsushima Bay. At the buffet, you can enjoy Sendai's specialty dishes. Desserts are abundant and the whole family is satisfied. The staff were very friendly and quickly prepared a high chair and food for my toddler. You can pick up and drop off at Matsushima Station, Matsushima Kaigan Station, and the rest house, so there is no problem even if you do not have a car. This is a recommended inn for traveling to Matsushima.
The two prospect hot springs on the fifth floor are top-notch! Men and women rotate in the morning and afternoon. There is also a hot spring on the first floor with massage services. Massage is not recommended. The sofa area on the third floor overlooks Matsushima and offers a variety of free drinks and snacks. Very relaxing area. 40 minutes of free karaoke can be reserved before 8 pm, and there are Chinese songs to choose from. The hotel is directly connected to the glass pavilion next to it, and you can visit it for free with your room card. Bicycle rental is free.
Breakfast and dinner are very rich and delicious. Dinner is a buffet of 11,000 yen per person including tax. There are also many choices of drinks and wines. The oyster rice and chestnut cake are especially recommended for dinner.
The sanitation of the hotel is very good, and the attitude of the service staff is also good. The hotel provides free bus transfers between Songdo Station and Songdo Coast Station. You can check the timetable on the hotel website, which usually coincides with the train schedule.
By private car: Located about 25 km from Sendai and Ishinomaki along Route 45, and about 100 km from Kesennuma. By train: About 20 minutes on foot from Matsushima Station on the JR Tohoku Main Line, or Matsushima Kaigan Station on the JR Senseki Line. It takes about 15 minutes on foot from the station. Within a 5-minute walk from the hotel, there is Fukuura Bridge (a pier to Fukuura Island), a sightseeing boat dock, and Zuiganji Temple, making it a base for sightseeing in Matsushima. The hotel building faces the national highway, but the entrance is in the back of the alley on the sea side from the national highway, so if you follow the tourist guidebook, you can reach the hotel without any problems. The building is located between the coastline and the national highway along the cliff, so it has a slightly complicated structure and there are differences in elevation, but there is almost always a slope installed where there is a step. The interior is barrier-free. The hotel itself has a long history and the exterior of the building still feels old, but the interior is kept clean and the single rooms are spacious and comfortable. There is also a large public bath and an open-air bath, and Matsushima Onsen is a relatively new natural hot spring that was mined after 2000, and the bath has two temperature levels (there is also a sauna, but due to various circumstances, currently on hiatus). This time we arrived in Sendai late at night on the Shinkansen, so it was only a breakfast plan, but the breakfast buffet has a wide variety of Japanese and Western dishes, and some of the tables are partitioned so you can relax without worrying about your surroundings. good. Even though I checked in late at night, they kindly waited on me, such as issuing coupons, and the free drink bar for guests was open in the lobby until around 21:00, which was very helpful. Hotels around Sendai Station are particularly expensive these days, so I felt that it was the best hotel for business purposes besides sightseeing because it was possible to stay at a reasonable price with a large communal bath and dinner and breakfast.
The hotel is on top of the hill over looking Matsushima Bay. The panorama view is just wonderful. The location is close to Matsushima Kaigan station, however, since it is quite a steep climb. If you come by train, I suggest you to take a complimentary shuttle bus provided by the hotel which runs through the Matsushima tourist area almost all day long. The lobby is spacious. When I had a question and approached a young staff member, she was wearing a name tag that read ”trainee.” and she was with her boss. I felt a pleasant feeling that her boss was watching over her with smile and kind manner. The same feeling happened at dinner time. The male boss (I believe his name tag is Mr. Kikuchi) with the young staff lead us to the tables and explains the buffet. He is kind and considerate not only to us customers, but also to the trainees as well. Being trained under this boss would likely understands what a customer service industry is like. Regardless of the rating of the hotel (inn), I believe that a good hotel not only has thorough employee training, but also the ability to provide considerate service to guests. I stayed in a Japanese-Western style room facing the sea. I was worried that the inn would be outdated, but it seemed like it had been renovated, and it was much nicer and spacious than I expected. The panoramic view overlooking Matsushima Bay is also perfect. The fridge was empty and there were no water bottles. disappointing., though. Water from the vending machine costs 160 yen. The toilet and bathroom were separate and clean. As for in-house wear, there was a closet stocked with yukata in a wide variety of sizes. The public bath has boiling water rather than a hot spring, but the shallow infinity open-air bath was pleasant and had a great view of Matsushima Bay. Since the men's and women's bath facility do not change in the morning and evening, the scenery is probably the same for both men and women. There was no sauna. Dinner had good ingredients for a buf
9/4-6 Thank you for staying for two nights. Choose a Japanese-style room for the room. There is a spacious table on the window side and it is wide 々. Ocean view. There are many sofas in the lobby and the terrace is nice. The rooms are also small with 26 rooms. Thank you for your diligence in pick-up and drop-off. The meal is a Japanese kaiseki and Western style is also adopted. It was delicious from aperitif to water confectionery. 😋 The hot springs are not hot either. Miharashi Observation Bath is especially recommended. Also, when the corona wreck calms down, I would like to bother you again. What an ice bowl!
First family trip after corona! I want to go to Matsushima in Japan three views, and I have a hotel with a strange name when I look for an inn, and I will see word of mouth and so on. I immediately called and had a plan to eat rice in the room. When I went to the day, the hotel on the slope, the parking lot was a bit diagonal and difficult to stop, but if the operation was more than average, there would be no problem. When you enter from the entrance, the front desk will be greeted and the temperature check and disinfection are urged, and the corona countermeasure is perfect👍When you enter the room with an explanation, it is surprised !!! The sea spreads in front of you and the view is amazing !!! I was really surprised by the name! The meal was very large and full, and Nakai's interesting story was blown out of the day 々 fatigue. I would like to stay again because I feel that there is a service that matches it. One thing that's unfortunate is that my wife said, not me, but a woman, Nakayoshi? It seems that he was carrying the other guests who had finished eating, and he was bent down diagonally while bent his neck, and he was bent his back, and it was very creepy and his face was masked, but he had a face like the end of this world I said I was. If I was accounting at the front desk at the check-out on my return, I would come out of the front desk and the front desk? But the appearance is that Nakai's wife is that person. I don't know which role it is because I said the person who said yesterday, but I think it is better to be firm in the range of customer service and customer view I would like to take care of my friends next time in a very satisfying hotel except for this !!!
I am so glad I chose Komatsu-kan during my stay in Matsushima. The receptionist was friendly and very helpful. When I told him I am a vegetarian, he kindly informed the kitchen to exclude animal flesh and seafood from my meal. (Usually, hotels ignored my food request, or they just gave me tofu and pickles for my meal.) The next morning, I was so surprised to see my breakfast. I loved the fresh salad, steamed vegetables, over-easy eggs, chawan-mushi, and the pickles even tasted better than before.
Then the room surprised me with the pine tree and the beautiful sea view. The next morning I woke up at 4:45 to see the sunrise. Just from my room, I could see the sun slowly rising from the other side of the sea. Stunning! I really enjoyed the little Me time here.
Actually, this hotel is well-maintained, and that helps raise the value of it. I also love the fresh little flowers right next to the washing basin. And the people working here are quite ya-sa-shi. They are kind and gentle. Generally speaking, this is a nice place worth staying and relaxing in.
