An evening news program was introducing hotels and inns where you can eat seafood barbecue, but only hotels in the Kanto area were introduced, so I was looking for a hotel in the Kansai area with a wallet-friendly price, and this was a hit. The seafood barbecue was very filling and very satisfying. The children's menu was also luxurious. We borrowed fishing equipment and caught more than 10 horse mackerel, which were grilled with salt. The fish we caught were cooked until 5pm. The bath at the sister hotel, Fukujuso, was very good. It was pouring rain on the way back, and the parking lot was about 5 minutes away from the boat stop, but they were able to run a bus for us, which was a relief. I would like to come back with my children in the summer. I would like to go to the beach.
Thank you for your help for the first time in more than 20 years. A few days before the stay, I received a confirmation call for transportation and arrival time, and kindly told me various things. On the day of the event, the attendant who saw the parking lot advised me to carry my family and luggage to the dock first, which was very helpful. The building itself feels old, but it was well maintained and comfortable. The food was voluminous at night and in the morning, and it was delicious. However, children in the lower grades of elementary school basically have the same dishes as adults, and it is good if it is in the upper grades, but the food that can be eaten in the lower grades is limited, and I think it is painful for children. Other than that, I am very satisfied. I would like to take care of you again. Thank you very much.
This hotel is a true jewel, rarely found nowadays in the age of ”business hotels”. This hotel does not just do business, ii provides you with a home away from home for a day, week or month. It is and has aged, admittedly, but very gracefully. It has character, starting from a generous 32+ sqm room with a superb view out into the sea, solid wood furniture, an excellent public bath on floor one, very comfortable ”viewing areas” to appreciate sunsets or read a book at the higher floors, a tasty breakfast (Japanese) in the morning plus some good coffee for those who can`t live without it. There are premiums and cooking, but there are many chain inns that can be used by one person or family. Originally, even if it is old, it is renewed in order to maintain its own quality. I used to make a phone reservation to the center, but now it's even more convenient because I can make a reservation online. I think it will be used to it. Shima Aya Asaku 館 is not premium and is not extremely large, so there is a case where a large moving line is not required in the dining room hot spring room. There are many extravagant and luxurious oversized hotels in Ise-Shima, but it would be difficult to move around the building if it was a meal and a bath ... Previously, it was attractive to the upper floors with a good view, but It was better to have nearby facilities.

Very Good
KKennyMy stay at Shima Hantou in Shima City, Japan was a delightful experience. The location of the hotel is convenient, earning it a solid 4 out of 5 rating. Although it is a bit far from Ise City, it's easily accessible by car, with just a 1-hour journey.
The hotel's cleanliness also deserves a commendable 4 out of 5 rating. As a traditional Japanese hotel, the exterior has a charming appeal. While the interior design may not be the most modern, it is still well-maintained and clean.
One aspect that truly stood out during my stay was the exceptional service provided by the staff. They were incredibly friendly, accommodating, and always ready to assist, earning a perfect 5 out of 5 rating for service.
In terms of facilities, the hotel offers a basic hot spring bath, which was a relaxing experience. However, it's worth noting that there is only one pool for bathing, and the absence of a cold water bath and sauna facilities somewhat limited the options. Therefore, I would rate the facilities as 4 out of 5.
Overall, I highly recommend Shima Hantou for a pleasant stay in Shima City. The location, cleanliness, and exceptional service make it a great choice for travelers seeking a traditional Japanese hotel experience.
Although it is a small inn, it serves delicious Chinese food. This inn is run by a Chinese restaurant in Osaka and mainly serves Chinese food. The Japanese-Western room we used was spacious and comfortable.
GGuest UserI think it was better than it was written in the word of mouth.
I took my pet, so I stayed here where my pet could stay with me.
There was no particular smell, and I think the dog and we were able to slow down very much.
The dinner was rich in quantity and number of items and was very satisfied.
I wanted to come again if I had the opportunity.
Thank you.
