"The conditions of the hotels on the island are a bit simpler than those in Naha. This one is better. It has a private beach and you can snorkel right outside. It is quiet and less crowded. You can find many hermit crabs near the beach at night and you can also see the beautiful starry sky."
"I needed to cancel my booking here due to a big typhoon that had cancelled all boats to Tokashiki island.
Turns out it was non-refund booking. The hotel manager went above and beyond in dealing with my booking agent to get me a refund when she could have just pointed to the no refund sign.
This is the type of person I wish to support so I will be staying here next year when I return to Okinawa.
Thank you 🙏"
"A lovely hotel with friendly staff. We stayed for one night, passing through to Shimanami Kaido.
The onsen was small, and I was the only one there!
But apparently everyone was at dinner.
The room had tatami mats, and we slept on futons, and a wonderful view awaited us in the morning. A delight."
"The staff were all very polite and attentive. The facilities were a little old, but we had a very comfortable stay. Even after checking out, we were able to use the shared floor for storing our luggage and eating, so even with our children, we were able to enjoy the beach for a long time on our last day."
"Lovely little Hotel in Aharen Village. If you want to stay a few nights on the island, instead of only having a day trip, this is an amazing option.
Really delicious meals, nice room, amazing service.
Plus we could book a snorkling tour via the Hotel and rent gear on the other days.
All in all, we had a great time here!"
"I stayed at Hotel Kanaloa last year and it was great. The hotel staff are friendly, there is a shuttle to the beaches and a restaurant you can eat at. This year our stay was complicated by bed bugs which is probably not the hotels fault it may have been spread by a former guest; however we did have to convince the staff to get us another room in the middle of the night when we were bitten and found several of them. This was our first experience with bed bugs and we were really traumatized. We were disappointed that we had to convince the staff to let us wash all of our clothes for free since we didn’t want to spread them to the new room or risk carrying them with us. We weren’t given any additional services or refunds beyond that which is disappointing."
"The place is very beautiful! Important to notice that the road to beaches (shops and cafes) is very difficult for not prepared people. It took us about 25-35 min to take to Tokashiku beach.
Better to rent car or motobike or be prepared for a long walk.
The host was super nice, and assisted us in all questions.
The house is not the new one and have some not very fresh staff, but we were ok with that.
Before booking you should remember that it is a country house not hotel and you will be happy.
Also it is located not far from view point"
