"1) Japanese room is old but thankfully no funny smoke odour etc. decent sized and good for 2 large luggage - they will come and prepare your futon at around 5-530pm. 2) water park is good for kids, with 2 fun slides and some kiddo water slide. The indoor wave pool is big and there’s float and swimwear rental available too (unlike Rusutsu which doesn’t have such options). 3) Dinner was meh - wide selection but taste was alright. The dining buffet area is quite smoky though from the cooking and is quite a turnoff. 4) arcade at B1 is good for entertainment. 5) onsen is awesome. If timed right, you can watch fireworks from the onsen - it has a large sliding glass panel which is open during non-winter period. 6) daily fireworks - awesome"

"For just one night, I chose the most affordable hotel in Lake Toya. I wasn't expecting much, but the room was clean. The receptionist spoke good English and was very polite. The public baths were also okay."

"Booked a room with private onsen and shared amongst 3 friends. There is valet parking upon arrival, and complimentary drinks and simple snacks at the welcome lounge between 3-10pm. They had a harpist perform at the lounge and dinner sometimes, it was very peaceful! Room was nice and comfortable, facing a nice view of lake Toya. Would have liked to be even closer to the lake as it turns out there is a field between the hotel and the lake. Temperature and size of private onsen js good, room facilities also great. Breakfast and dinner was wonderful, for dinner they serve a 6-7 course French styled meal on both nights made by Japanese ingredients. They had western and Japanese main plate options for breakfast with a buffet alongside too. Choices were plentiful and delicious. Staff generally very courteous and helpful, we had an issue with the hot water in our shower which they work very hard to fix. There was a random incident where one of the staff Yusaku was very rude to us at the Lumiere restaurant, he pretended not to understand English when taking our order for tea/ coffee, and even challenged us when we asked for lemon in tea, he said ‘what colleague?’ And ‘you want a piece of tea?’. Completely unacceptable for a hotel like this. The rest of the staff were nothing like that."

"I highly recommend this hotel! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the place is clean, and the owners are truly kind-hearted ❤️❤️. On my arrival yesterday morning, I stored my luggage there first. When I asked about the bus to the hot spring street, since it would take too long, the owner kindly drove me there himself. This morning, in my rush to catch the bus to the next city, I didn’t even realize I’d forgotten my iPad. The owner actually chased down the bus and returned it to me. I’m just so grateful!!!

"This is the most satisfying house I have ever lived in Japan. No matter the size, facilities and environment are first class, there is a feeling of being in New Zealand. Environment: About 2 kilometers from Toya Lake Commercial Street, a little distance walk, very quiet, surrounded by scattered residential rooms. It was a little scared outside the house in the middle of the night. Service: Wanshi Pavilion takes the key, check out and put the key directly in the villa, check out at 10 o'clock is more troublesome Facilities: The information shows that it has been open for 23 years, but the facilities inside are obviously not new. Some years, but the maintenance is very good. The things used are very advanced. The sink in the kitchen is particularly good. Microwave oven, oven, tea set tableware induction cooker have everything, especially the whole hot spring, dressing room, There are showers, it feels like a holiday house designed by rich people for themselves, and later sold to Wanshige. Location: There is a convenience store 5 minutes walk. But if you are not driving, it is not recommended."

"I went there once a few years ago and the baths have been renovated since then, and there is now a rock bath which was nice and clean. The room was also cleaner than I expected. The food was also delicious, including whole grilled rock trout, mushroom tempura, and a New Year's vinegared dish. It's been a while since I've been able to enjoy Hokkaido's hot springs and fireworks in the snow."

"Highly recommend this hotel for families. The outdoor onsen is humongous and mesmerizing. You can feel as if you’re a snow fairy enjoying the natural spa in Elsa’s winter wonderland. The onsen shower and skincare amenities were great and the cherry on top was the barley tea and vitamin c water machine in the locker area. Every guest using the onsen was polite and quiet giving each other enough space to enjoy themselves. The buffet is packed with all types of food - kids section available. Some staff spoke English and everyone was so kind and ready for their guests. Its proximity to the Shikotsu Lake was also amazing."

"The location is about an hour and a half from Sapporo, and there are no nearby amenities (Seiko Mart is about a 10-minute drive away, so it's best to stock up on necessities before arriving at the resort). The rooms are larger than average Japanese hotels. The rooms are clean, perhaps due to renovations, but the bathrooms are quite small, like those in Japanese hotels. The room is generally clean, but there were still bugs in the ceiling lights. Check-in is extremely crowded, but it's self-service, so it doesn't take long. After checking in, simply place your wooden room number on the table when you arrive at the restaurant to complete your reservation. After checking in, you can purchase a ticket to Asobiya on the basement level. The ticket is valid for two days, from arrival to check-out, for an additional 500 yen per person. The play area is suitable for kindergarteners and younger children. Older children might enjoy the board games or the climbing equipment (available for an additional fee). We visited the facility about four times during our stay, enjoying board games, sandboxes, and trampolining. The hot springs are located on the first floor. Located in a convenient location, it offers three options: an outdoor hot spring pool, an indoor pool, and a hot spring. After check-in, the indoor pool was full when I visited, so I used the outdoor pool. It was better to take pictures while playing before entering the hot springs than to swim. There was a slide, which my child enjoyed. The hot springs were surprisingly quiet. I visited about three times. There were a few after dinner, but it wasn't crowded. The hot springs were clean, but there was a slight smell of disinfectant. The food was generally satisfactory. Both dinner and breakfast were full, so I waited about 10 minutes to enter. There was also a play area for children indoors, so I was satisfied that my child didn't fuss while eating. My husband had unlimited drinks (around 10 types) and could purchase an additional 2,200 yen for a run-cha fee. He drank about 8 beers, so it seemed fine. Alcoholic beverages can be purchased a la carte. The nearby hot springs are accessible via a rotation bus. The hotel is pet-friendly, so there was a slight smell at the entrance. We went straight into the hot springs without checking. We were very satisfied with both the indoor and outdoor hot springs. The outdoor hot springs were quiet and relaxing, so we preferred this one. Satisfaction."
