"These newer Daiwa hotel are best. We've stayed in Yamagata, Koriyama, and Morioka they're very similarily designed and decor. They're better then other Daiwa in other cities. Their moderate Twins allows extra sofa bed is perfect fit for our family of 4 to sleep comfortably while staying together. Everything is just perfect with these newer built Daiwa hotels if you can find a good price on them."
"The hotel is not far from the station. It is very easy to find.
There are no restaurants near the hotel, but
There is a supermarket opposite, the goods are very convenient.
Very convenient for people traveling alone, next return visit"
"The location is great!! The shuttle service runs early in the morning, such as before 5am. we rented a car and needed to return it at the airport early in the morning, so the location of the hotel was really convenient. The amenities were prepared in the lobby, and it was self-service to take them to the room. The bed was surprisingly hard, but I can't complain for this reasonable price. there is Lawson at G floor."
"Super close to the train station. The rooms are comfy and bright. The staff were incredibly friendly, warm, and attentive. Breakfast was pretty standard, similar to what you'd get at a Toyoko Inn, with a lot of the items seemingly being prepared from frozen. It's definitely on my list for my next visit to Yamagata!"
"Always a great working desk in the room of a Richmond but it can get annoying how controlled access is. Cannot take the stairs up or down even one level so have to take the elevator to get to the microwave or laundry machines and the elevator in turn requires taking the room card and this not only cuts the power but will cut your Internet connection in the room. Upon return it then takes a while to come back up."
"Great location directly connected to Yamagata station. My room was at the South wing which seemed new. The room is on the small side for 2 adults but has everything we needed, was pleasantly surprised with the handy steam iron! There are 2 x coin laundry at South Tower level 2; vending machines; microwave oven. Ice machine on several floors. The front desk staff were helpful, they allowed us check-in before 3pm and helped make a reservation at Yamagyu restaurant, really appreciated their help. The location is really convenient with the taxi stand and bus terminal right in front. Lots of food options around it."
"I was very impressed with my stay at this hotel. The service was good, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast was varied. If I come back here again, I will definitely stay here again. Most importantly, there is a window with a view and the room is spacious and comfortable."
"1. Location of the hotel is nice!
2. Double Room size is pretty small which is 140m2 onlty! So, I would not reccomend those who have kids!
3. Toilet is very tiny! also bathtub can't fit a small kid!
4. The Freezer is very small! I have never seen such a small freezer. So, couldn't fit our Bento Box!
5. The hotel is old, and not properly maintained, for example; shower curtain is broken, and attach it with tape!"
"The hotel is located in the city of Yamagata. You need to transfer to the JR station to get there by bus. If you arrive too late, you may not be able to take the bus to the city. It is recommended for self-driving tourists. Although the hotel is quite historic, the rooms are clean and the facilities are good. There is a lawson and a hot spring for guests in the basement. There is also a hotel-only indoor parking lot next to it, which costs 700 yen per night. If you just want to park overnight, there are other cheaper parking options nearby. There are also many restaurant options nearby."
"It's conveniently close to the station and there's a convenience store diagonally across the street.
Since it was a spot air conditioner, the noise from the nearby street vision screens was a bit loud even early in the morning, but toothbrushes, hairbrushes, and hair dryers were provided in the room, so it was totally tolerable considering the price and location."

Great
GGuest UserThe four of us arrived at around 9am and followed the instructions to get a taxi. We first walked up the stone steps to the hotel to check in. We had three pieces of luggage weighing about 15kg, so two middle-aged waiters carried our luggage for us. One of them even carried two pieces of luggage in both hands at once and walked up the stairs, which made me feel very embarrassed. I have great respect for their dedication, but it is so heavy that it will cause strain on the wrists and shoulders and affect bone health. Why not do it in two batches?
We returned to the hotel at 2:30 pm. The room was ready and someone led us into the room and introduced everything to us along the way. There is one bedroom, one living room, two toilets and one bathroom. It is spacious and fully equipped. Except for the need to plug in the socket for poor electricity, we were given a floor mat in the living room at night. The bed and floor mat were comfortable and I slept well.
This is a very Japanese style hotel, well worth a try if you haven't tried it. We booked a package with breakfast and dinner. The dinner was all-Japanese, but I don't know what the cuisine was called. The service and food were good, and the tableware and dishes on the table were also unique. If you haven't tried it, it's worth a try. The breakfast is still Japanese style, average (see Figure 4). There is also a 24-hour free semi-open-air bath. If you book a private bath, it costs 2,700 yen for 50 minutes, and the last time is 22:00. There is a hiking trail next to the hotel. If you stay for two or three days, you will be surrounded by intoxicating mountain views and natural environment. In summary, it was a good experience. If I go to Zao again, I will still choose to stay at Takamiya, which has historical value and is well maintained.
Attached is the dinner menu.
ZZoeAbsolutely lovely place. At first I thought I'd be uncomfortable with how spaceous the room was (I'm a very jumpy solo traveller), but the room was just so comfy with an excellent view. The heater was a bit hot, but there was an electric fan too, so all was great.
The hotel allows you to have a free 50 minute private bath each night, and the private baths are amazing, able to accommodate up to five persons and with windows to let in the light and stuff. Excellent onsen water -- very acidic and very hot. Takes some time getting used to the heat, but once you do it's a heavenly experience. There are also public baths (free of charge) that you could enjoy throughout the night and into early morning (they're closed for cleaning only during 9-12 in the morning), one indoor and one outdoor, both connected to one another. The outdoor one is a bit small, but it's so refreshing to be able to flee from the stifling indoor onsen to enjoy the crisp winter air while soaking up in the heat.
AAKai JLikes: Plenty of travel information, there are many bathhouses in different hotels to choose from, Japanese dinners are rich in items, very close to the cable car station, and the window view is good
Disadvantages: There are no facilities except for the bathtub and restaurant. The room is older and the toilet has a peculiar smell. I am not sure if it is the smell of the hot spring.
YYI-HSIANGThe location is great. It is close to Zao Onsen ski resort, bus station, and restaurants. It is in the middle, and it takes about 5-7 minutes to walk.
Friendly service, the boss is good in English, and her friends grew up in Japan when they were young, so most of their friends communicate directly.
The room is clean and warm. In addition to the wardrobe, there is a drying rack that can be used for extra snow, equipped with a refrigerator and a heater.
There are massage chairs in the lobby on the first floor.
Value-added offers: The hotel offers a day pass for the cable car, a free pass for public hot springs, and a discount coupon for the best rental ski rental (500-1000)
Go to Zao and check in later! Great value Japanese style hotel.
Thank you Yoshida :)
CCharlieCHENGIt is recommended to stay here when skiing in Shangzhitai. There is no bathroom in the room. You can take a bath and soak in the public bath on the first floor. It is great to take a bath and rest after skiing.
The room will not be cleaned proactively, and the garbage will be taken to the corridor in the morning and the staff will assist in cleaning.
YYlongGreat, the location is on the mountainside, but there will be a car to help pick up at the foot of the mountain.
The ski slopes are only a 3-minute walk away. On the middle side of Route 3, there is a very good sulfur hot spring. 24 hours, one night and two meals in the restaurant. The colors are all very fresh and delicious. Breakfast is served buffet style. For dinner, we had kaiseki shabu shabu. Very suitable for people who only want to ski on the sage snow. After a whole day of skiing, I went back to soak in the hot springs and rested early at Dingmen!
^^Ki@Patient and efficient front desk services, efficient for check in and out procedure. Restaurant located at 1-3 floor, very convenient. Also, JR , Shinkansen station nearby, big shopping mall and department store at top of JR station. Good and convenient.
