"Old Japanese style tatami resort by friendly husband & wife, i book a night to experience japan anime in tatami house lifestyle. Resort itself come with public onsen, felt comfortable and relax. The room is clean and tidy though the facilities looks old but still well keep. Location is quite convenient, walking distance to 7eleven, Lake Yamanakako and food court. Breakfast prepared by them are delicious and the canteen vibe is what i saw on anime. Will come again for my next visit to Fuji, thank you so much."

"The hotel is quite close to the bus stop, about a 4-minute walk, but there are no convenience stores nearby. If you stay here, you'll need to book the hotel's breakfast or buy breakfast in advance. The facilities are a bit old, and it seems there are no disposable slippers, only geta (wooden clogs). However, the scenery is absolutely beautiful, with a direct view of Mount Fuji, so you can watch the sunrise right from your room in the morning. Overall, I'm quite satisfied."

"The location is easy for travellers with cars. Otherwise shuttle bus to town is not available all the time. Breakfast is good, dinner not so much. Wet and foggy during our star so couldn’t see much views. Staff don’t speak much English which makes the stay not pleasant. Hotel facility is great, and clean, nice resort when you have car and speak Japanese."

"Renting an electric scooter at the entrance costs 150 RMB per day, but you have to park it at designated spots. Taxis are even more expensive. The owner, an auntie from Northeast China, is very friendly, and the front desk staff from Zhejiang is also nice. The on-site hot spring is very comfortable. In the evenings, the cafeteria on the first floor turns into a KTV, playing only Chinese songs; I didn't notice what time it closed. The hotel is located at the starting point of Lake Yamanaka, and cycling around the lake is very enjoyable."

"The hotel is backed by mountains and faces the lake, with a beautiful environment, the rooms are generally clean and the service is in place. The boss is especially nice. There are no convenience stores nearby and transportation is inconvenient. After the boss learned about it, he took the initiative to drive me to a supermarket a few kilometers away to shop. After checking out the next morning, the weather was bad, and the boss drove me to the bus station. I am very grateful."

"Both the rooms and common areas were spotless. The room had a heater, and the owner was incredibly kind and helpful. We communicated via WeChat beforehand, and they even assisted with receiving my luggage from Tokyo airport and placing it in my room! The guesthouse is only a few hundred meters' walk from Yamanakako bus station, and about a 15-minute walk from the express bus stops for Mishima and Tokyo, which was extremely convenient. The owner also has electric-assist bicycles for rent. You can ride them around the lake multiple times without getting tired! But the absolute best part was seeing Mount Fuji's first snowcap of the year during my two-day stay here – it was absolutely breathtaking!"

"The hotel room was exceptionally spacious – in fact, it was the largest I've encountered during my entire trip to Japan. However, some of the room's facilities were a bit dated. A big plus was the availability of Chinese-speaking staff at the front desk, which made communication incredibly easy. The hotel does offer a buffet, but it needs to be purchased separately. All things considered, my stay was quite satisfactory."

"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was exceptionally spacious with a stunning view of Mt. Fuji. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The bathroom was large and well-appointed. I particularly enjoyed the outdoor onsen, which was both relaxing and beautifully maintained. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I would gladly return and highly recommend this hotel to others."

"I really liked the location, it seems like Fuji is in the hotel's backyard and there's a huge lake in front. Roasting marshmallows on the fire pit was really cool. Just don't expect the same comfort as a traditional hotel. I recommend it to anyone who wants a different experience."

"Mount Fuji was beautiful in the morning, seen over Lake Yamanaka. Unfortunately, there was a slight wind, so Mount Fuji wasn't clearly reflected in the lake, but it was still vaguely visible. The view was great. The hotel is far from the city and bus stop, so there's nothing nearby. If you're not driving, it's best to check in after shopping or eating. We were able to be picked up and dropped off at the time and location we requested (maybe because there weren't many guests?), which was very helpful. I thought the service was excellent. However, although we booked a twin bedroom, for some reason it turned out to be a Japanese-style room with futons, completely different from the photo. We weren't given any explanation about this until we returned. If you really want a bed, it's best to check in advance. I think the breakfast option might have been unnecessary. It's not great value for money."
