Hotels in Suwon

"Due to a change of circumstances, I stayed 2 nights despite I booked 4 nights. I tried to send them an email on 12 February's evening to cancel my stay on 16 February, but they replied to me on 13 February that I could only cancel 3 days in advance. I understood that I sent them late on 12 February, but I didn't know the cut-off time and I had an emergency to shorten my trip. It was my second time staying here. I am not sure if the settings were different since I was assigned a different room. This time, they provided disposable slippers (which was good for hygiene's reason) and there was a smart toilet seat (also good for me!). I had a problem turning off the 2 nights beside my bed and when I tried to ask the front desk, there was no one available (looks like they don't have any staff on duty after 23:00). The problem was resolved by unplugging the key card that I was asked to insert to turn on the power of the room (not sure if this is the right way to do that though). Another issue was that I was waken up by music before 8am on the next day (I had an early flight the day before and I really needed the sleep). I found the source - It came from the loud speakers of a car which stopped in front of the construction site next to the hotel. There were 2 men with banners and they seemed to be protesting about something? The music was so loud that I could hear very clearly on the 6th Floor. There were stains on the carpet, but the cleanliness was okay overall. The parking spaces are too few and this is something the hotel needs to improve. All in all, it was a good value for money. The location was good - there were lots of restaurants, convenience stores nearby and a huge supermarket in walking distance. If I go to Suwon again, I may choose this hotel again."

"1. The room is very clean and comfortable. 2. It is located in a community area with restaurants and convenience stores nearby. 3. The hotel is surrounded by main roads on several sides, but the rooms are well soundproofed. 4. The reception staff are cheerful, friendly, and always ready to help during their working hours. This was my first time staying here, so I asked for their assistance quite a lot until checkout. 5. If you plan to visit tourist attractions, you will need to take a bus for about 25–30 minutes to reach Hwaseong Fortress or Starfield Library. However, if you have a car, this hotel is definitely a great and worthwhile choice. Thank you so much the hotel staff"

"Comfortable and clean. Convenient location with a lively snack street nearby, offering tons of food options. There's also a park. In the evenings, you can even catch live streamers. The hotel doesn't provide disposable toothbrushes. In some rooms, the air conditioning can be a bit noisy."

"The hotel is a little hidden away, but it's very close to Suwon Station Exit 8. You can take a taxi from the station, but you can't take one to the station. So, if you did some considerable shopping, be prepared to walk with your stuff. There are lots of places to eat with decent choices. It was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay at this hotel again."

"Everything from the hotel is great including; staff, housekeeping, wifi, water system, location. I just find it hard to squeeze liquid out of soap, shampoo bottle tho😅 One thing that disturb my stay is that, those AHJUMMAS were so loud in the hall way, late at night and super early in the morning and sometimes were on the phone in front of my room. I can hear them clearly. Other than that, I would stay here again .. love it!!"

"The room was quite spacious, and the location was incredibly convenient with plenty of dining options nearby. There's also a park right next door, perfect for a workout. The breakfast spread was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Overall, a truly great experience!"

"I was expected to have a nice stay at Marriott, however the reception person made me very disappointed to Marriott during the check in process. Luckily, when I check out, the lady who was asking me ”if there's anything she can help?” It was just a regular Q&A section to her, but for me, she helped me to book the bus ticket to ICN and saved/helped me to had a nice day -- She was perfect to earn 100% points! that's why I gave 3 points to Marriott while her colleague was not, this is balanced score... However, what I felt on the first day arrival was horrible. Marriott, you need to think about your service attitude and the reason why you're Marriott?"

"Nice hotel, quiet, and clean. Located near to cafés, restaurants, groceries...etc. As a frequent traveller, I know that Korean people are nice and friendly because this is not my first visit. However, the reception staff are cold welcoming. When I did the check-in, I guess that the head of the reception was the one handing me the keys. His voice tone was loud and a bit irritating (not sure if this a cultural thing). The gentleman was talking to me as if I came from a cave. I felt annoyed but kept calm and quiet then told him that I'm from a civilised country. Surprisingly, his voice tone became quieter, and even he started talking politely. I'm not sure what's happened but this kept me laughing afterwards."

"We were stranded in Suwon due to torrential rain and ended up booking this hotel last minute. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our room was spotlessly clean, spacious, and very comfortable, and we even had a view of the trains. What's more, the second floor offers direct access to both the shopping mall and the train station, which was incredibly convenient."
