"On the hill surrounded by bars, restaurants and shops. You don't need to go far for a night out. Reception staff were helpful and efficient and the Prickly Pear coffee and cakes were excellent. Leisure facilities all looked good though I didn't actually try them out, just had a good look round.
Breakfast was good. Plenty of choice.Room was spacious.but a little chilly for me. Having a fridge was a bonus as the safety deposit box which was free to use. Balcony was tiny but functional. A good hotel with a pleasant atmosphere."
"Fastanstic new hotel, great service and breakfast. Amazing roof top pool view and bar. Thank you to the hotel manager Borislav for taking care of us. Hope to be back soon."
"Hotel was in a really good location in Mellieha - right next to the bus stop if you want to travel, plenty of really good restaurants around like Villager, and a decent enough spot if you like a bit of coastal hiking, as I do.
One minor complaint is that the shower gel/shampoo is dreadful, just water with some green gloop - bring your own if you want to feel clean!"
"We chose this hotel primarily for its location – very close to the ferry crossing to Gozo, but not directly adjacent. The location proved to be excellent – we didn't experience the inconvenience of heavy traffic on the nearby route, unlike properties right next to the ferry crossing (the ferry was a 15-minute walk or 3-minute bus ride). Additionally, it turned out that there was a marina right next to the hotel, from which smaller boats depart, including those to Comino. We chose a room with a sea view – a plus: a large terrace with sun loungers, a table and chairs, and a fold-out clothes dryer. Although we didn't have a jacuzzi like our neighbors on the terrace next door ;), we made good use of the space. The room was large, but I must admit, it lacked soundproofing and was poorly furnished – the wardrobe was located far from the bathroom and the entrance to the room, there wasn't enough space in the bathroom to put toiletries, and it was impossible to watch the TV from the bed. Sitting at the desk blocked access to either the terrace or the bathroom. Practical information: there's an ATM at the entrance, a bus stop is 2 minutes away, a seasonal/mobile shop with basic supplies is 200 meters away, and an independent beach bar is 5 minutes away.
Items worth noting:
- The hotel definitely specializes in package holidays. It's worth being prepared for the impossibility of extending check-out (even for a fee), loud karaoke nights organized on the second floor, which can be heard in the rooms until 11:30 PM, and weak drinks by the pool, even if ordered and paid for at the bar by individual guests.
- A deposit is charged for towels; guests must show a card from reception to receive towels, and the same card is later required to claim a refund. Overall, this system is a real hassle; this is definitely not convenient for guests... luckily, they let people into the dining area without receipts; they somehow knew who paid for what."
"Very quiet, cozy hotel with very friendly staff.
The room is good and clean. Kettle, tea, coffee in the room. Shampoo, shower gel, soap, hair dryer.
Close to the sea. It takes about an hour to get to Valletta by bus.
Wonderful hotel and service!
Thanks administrator ( resections)😍"
"We rented a sands tower 2p. suite and it was amazing. We decide on the suite going by the photos and all-in-all reasonable price about double a standard room and it was worth every penny, this is simply the most amazing suite we've ever been in. A very spacious apartment, very large in size, very modern, super clean, frontal sea view terrace, full kitchen, amazing bathroom.. I could go on and on. I also love the details: Nespresso machine and plenty of coffee options, lots of USB charging sockets, 3 large TVs that all allow casting from my phone, good WiFi signal, just a step down from the beach and located in the same building as the restaurants, electric blinds and blackening, no noise from other apartments ... after 100+ reviews this is now the new top of the line - best place we have ever stayed at! To close out, the staff was all very friendly and it seems in low season parking is free. There are great walks straight from the hotel also. We'll surely be back."
"The staff are all helpful and friendly, really appreciate that.
The location of the hotel is perfect, although u might need 1.5 hours to arrive from airport or Valletta. It saves you a lot of time if you are planning to Comino Island and the Gozo Island. The traffic is very convenient which a large bus stop is nearby. You could go wherever you want through the buses.
The facility is great as well. They have band show, pool, gym room that we enjoy a lot. Highly recommend this place to stay!"
"Was very happy with the location, the bus stop is right in front of the door. Several great hiking routes and nature parks can be reached from the hotel on foot or after a short bus ride (e.g. Foresta 2000 or Il Majjistral).
The hotel's own small supermarket was surprisingly well stocked, especially for a vegan diet and the price was totally fine.
All of the employees at the hotel were very friendly.
The only downside: from the corridors there was always a lot to be heard in the room (every door that was closed, guests speaking, the cleaning staff...)."
"This is part of the same chain as the Solana hotel, but a slightly older hotel.
Gym 3/5 - with one machine, dumbbells you can do an OK workout.
Sauna 3/5 - free to use, clean, small, but simply was not hot enough at 65°C and 35% humidity.
Breakfast 4/5 - excellent, but could have more local variety.
Beach - Mellieha beach is within walking distance"
"The hotel is close to the sea and the beaches but far from the city. You could book and relax yourself by only staying at the hotel as it has a various types of pools and beaches around. The service was not bad. It is recently refurbished and clean. However, not all the cleaners do the same!"
