The location is the best.. you can walk to the Kuala Perlis jetty or if you want to go to Langkawi.. there is a lot of parking.. the sea view is very beautiful. Can you see the sunset if you go on the 1st month..
Eating at a village-style hotel is the best.. simple but delicious....
Basic hotel, no tea or coffee, not even in the lobby at night. From our room we could see the sea from far. The location is very nice if you wanna catch the ferry in the morning as it lies right next to the ferry station. We stayed there for one night & it was all what we needed. Clean & calm.
Stayed for one night over the weekend and lucky I booked early. All motels this area seems fully booked closer to my travel date. Location wise near jetty, easy to get Grab, around 1 kilometre away there's 7-eleven and also D Adna Laksa House. Room was basic and clean. Shower couldn't get hot water, it's just slightly heated so water was not freezing cold. This is a Muslim friendly motel, so no alcoholic drinks permitted in the premise. Overall I had a comfortable stay.
Put up at the Seri Malaysia Kangar, the biggest SM hotel yet, very spacious. Even the room i occupied had an adjoining TV room and separate bathroom. A swimming pool for families qualifies this hotel as a 4 star. However, one funny detail is in the room service menu. While two columns denoted that the time to order was between 10am and 10pm, the last column showed that last order to be 11pm. So i called to order supper only to be told sorry sir last order 10pm! Didnt want to lock horns and settled instead for the Godiva choc pretzels i bought at the airport. But would have still preferred to sample the nasi goreng special as its glossy menu advertised Breakfast the next day was predictably SM but one item caught my eye: glutinous rice or pulut with salted fish and coconut flakes. Added a chicken sambal to make it a little spicy; this alone restored my faith in SM.
We were booked for 1 night at Ants Hotel as we were using the Roro Ferry to Langkawi the next morning. This hotel has so many 'don't haves and don't provide', its unbelievable. (1) No coffee and tea making facilities (2) TV had only 2 channels, TV1 and TV3. No news channels. (3) No shops nearby to buy drinks (4) Only rain shower provided (5) No windows in the very small and claustrophobic room We actually paid RM110+ for the rooms and there was a notice that the hotel was offering RM95 at the reception. And when we complained about the windowless rooms, we were told we would each have to pay another RM30 if we wanted rooms with window! A rip off place. When I requested for a kettle, I was given one. But when I requested for a mug or teaspoon to make a drink, I was told that only 2 small glasses are provided in the room. And that was all. There was a shower cap provided by the way, but it was hidden in the cupboard, not in the bathroom. I would not recommend anyone to stay in this hotel. Seriously.
Great alternative to the well-known Putra Regency. Strategic location - 7E, Dominos n Secret Recipe across the road and importantly, Self Laundry Bar just few shop lots down the lane. Basic room just nice for people to sleep and spend most of their time outside for sightseeing
The night shift front desk staff was rude during check-in. When I mentioned my booking through the Trip.com app, he denied it and insisted they only accept Agoda bookings. Despite my efforts to explain, he seemed displeased and unhelpful.
The hotel is well-located near eateries and amenities. While it’s old and the rooms are dark, the price is reasonable and cleanliness is satisfactory. WiFi is reliable and fast, traffic noise is noticeable. There are no toiletries provided—only two small cubes of Lux soap. Overall, conditions are acceptable for budget travelers, but don’t expect much.
The Hotel is so nice especially the services. The receptionist suggest us the best place to visit and food to try. Besides that, the location of the hotel is strategic because it’s in the middle of the town. Nearby restaurants and there’s have mural behind the hotel to taking picture. Highly recommended!!!
