Deadvlei燃燃烧生命的小胖妞Namibia's Death Valley is located in a white depression in Sussley, where grass is not growing and there are no signs of life, so it is named. Death Valley has not always been so dead, there were rivers and trees growing well more than 900 years ago. But then something changed, the dunes moved here, blocking the river. Add to that the climate changes, there is no rain all year round, and the trees and grass here quickly died.
Independence MuseumMM32***23[View] Takes 1-2 hours to learn about Namibia's country, history, wildlife and many other interesting facts. [Fun] The museum is carefully curated and we think it is well worth a visit
National Museum of Namibia: Owela Display CentreMM32***23We arranged the visit and we were on a very tight budget. We went during the free entry time at 6:00pm and we arrived to a long line, at least 400 meters long, we entered without any trouble and started to enjoy one of the largest world art galleries. The museum is huge with many different pavilions and lots of sculptures on the art filled walls and the best works are all here
St Mary's Catholic Cathedral ChurchMM32***23【View】We visited this church, one of the most beautiful churches we have seen so far. The details and stained glass are breathtaking. It is free, but please donate to help restore
ChristuskircheMM32***23[View] Christuskirche Church is located in the middle of the roundabout. It is a beautiful building. This is the starting point for a city tour around the museum and the nearby Capitol.
TransNamib MuseumTtravelerererNamibia's Quiver Tree Manor has one of the most beautiful starry skies in the world, with the Milky Way visible to the naked eye. It was really cold at night, so a few people squatted in a pile of rocks for 2 hours and took over a starry sky!
Joe's BeerhouseMM32***23This place is a great place for everyone, we were in a group of 9 and stopped here on our overland safari. The food was very good, a good variety, especially the game, and the prices were very reasonable 😁 The layout and decor both made it most memorable, even in the menu it describes the stories behind some of the items you find there, including the cars on display! It's fun, quirky and not to be missed!
Alte FesteMM32***23We went to the show "Tchaikovsky Beauty" with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Birmingham Royal Ballet. Simply fantastic and very fitting for this wonderful place of the RAL. On the side of the hour, with its unique architecture, its interior is even more surprising, with classic decoration, circular display areas and striking lighting. It is well worth choosing a show to watch and see the work of the house, both in terms of audience, spectators (no pomp) and lighting. There are shows for all tastes on the agenda. There are tours, showing the interior of the house, but we did not go. But it must also be very interesting. Beautiful place. Definitely worth it!
