Stayed here 2 nights. On closer inspection room was a bit dusty and looked like it hadnt been dusted in a while.floor didnt look clean either..could of been stains engrained in the tiles but disnt look clean at all. The pool photos do not match the pictures, water was cloudy and green and the sides of the pool were very dirty, put me off going in.dont get me wrong it was a nice enough chalet with a microwave and kitchenette but for 340 a night a bit over priced in my opinion. On arrival owner didnt say much..just that I should turn air con on when I get into room. There was no brush or Hoover to sweep the floor so couldnt tidy that up.
We recently stayed at Cable Bay Views (studio 3). Itâs a great set up, comfortable, well appointed, modern and comfortable. Great views, close (ie 5 ish mins walk) to Cable Bay, Mudbrick and Allpress, communicative owners, and reasonable value. Few points: - shame the fan in the bathroom automatically goes on synched to the bathroom lights (a pain at night!) and the bathroom bin was broken, the bathroom underfloor heating is great, the modern tv that comes out of the wall is great also!, kitchen is perfectly fine given I suspect barely anyone who stays there, eats there. Very popular given its location I imagine and we certainly would recommend it. Just a couple of small things to fix or potentially improve.
Disclaimer: Waiheke Island Resort management will likely refute this review point-by-point, but rest assured theyâll never be on site or do anything to correct the issues that led to the criticism. Waiheke Island is beautiful so enjoy the view, because thatâs all youâre likely to enjoy at this place. Waiheke Island Resort has it all: resort in name only, closed ammenities, and unserviced rooms. (Please note: they DID make the beds in one of our rooms, once. But nothing else.) Have a fetish for smoke damaged rooms? Theyâve got you covered. Want to book two rooms on the same reservation but ensure youâre on apposite ends of the property? WIR is the place to be. Dead palms? Check Rubbish under the deck? Check Staff without a single care or answer? Check and check Courtesy vans? Theyâve got two but donât expect to ride in one. Electric bikes? The signs say âyesâ the people say ânoâ. Food? Not if youâre visiting on a day that ends in âyâ. Weddings? Let me get a divorce lawyer ready for you on speed dial. This place has so much potential, but for now thatâs all it has. Letâs hope they put some money into the unheated pool with cracks so large youâd be right to ask if the property was somehow, no matter how scientifically impossible, damaged in the Kaikoura or Christchurch quakes. Or they could address the many many many steps throughout the place that need attention. The most radical thought? For less than $100 they could ensure rooms have cups and plates. (Especially when the âresortâ restaurant isnât open and the nearest shop is a 1.3km walk from the âresortâ.) Youâd hope the people working here (note: donât expect anyone on site outside of 10am - 4pm on those pesky days ending in âyâ) would care enough to try a bit harder or at least proactively suggest local restaurants or things to do given NOTHING IS OPEN OR AVAILABLE DURING PEAK SEASON AT THIS RESORT but, again, no. No a million times over. Most importantlyâ and this is the most serious criticismâ this property is not for ANYONE with any kind of mobility challenges: you will be required to walk up and down significant inclines and there IS NO ASSISTANCE provided for you or your luggage. Not an issue for us but I would have been incandescent if parents or a mobility-challenged individual were with us. So, re-sort your holiday plans if this is the âresortâ on your list for all the reasons above and more.
Nice big rooms & wonderfully local location. Very friendly & helpful staff. I'll be booking here again next time I'm in Waiheke. For the rate of the room I wasn't expecting such a big kitchen area & main living quarters. We booked as a group & all of the rooms I saw were nice & big
We chose the place for the stunning location and beach access just across the road. Also the bed was a king which was a plus as so many places offered the queen size only. Clean and tidy and friendly service. Bus stop access right outside the apar**ent. Would definitely recommend this place.

Waiheke Island Explorer Bus
çç澡ĺ¨ĺNot far from downtown Auckland, the island makes people feel far from the sky. First of all, the tranquility of the island, the sound of the waves is always the main theme here. Cycling to feel the tranquility of the town.
Stonyridge Vineyard
ĺ¤ĺ¤ĺ¤This is my first time to New Zealand winery, under the introduction of a friend, I went to StoneyRIDGE to try liquor in this winery, the price is about NZD8-9 there are 3 glasses of wine. Because of the relationship in June, GRAPE has been harvested. According to the staff INFO, GRAPE is only seen in the winery in summer, so it should be more beautiful in summer.
Mudbrick Vineyard and Restaurant
1138***01Mudbrick Winery was the first winery I visited on the island. The weather was not very good, but I was still amazed by the lavender next to the winery restaurant. The winery has two restaurants. The Bistro is open during the day, and the restaurant next to it only serves dinner. So it is recommended to make a reservation in advance. Unlike other wineries, this place is open on Mondays, which is really great.
Man O' War Vineyards
çç澡ĺ¨ĺNew Zealand's whole-garden wine estate is as numerous as cattle hair, and this wine estate has a different place. First of all, it is located on a small island with few people, and it is backed by the mountains and the sea. The scenery is absolutely unique here.
Cable Bay Vineyards
1138***01Cable Bay is the best winery on the island I have been to. The scenery is excellent, the service is excellent, the wine and food are more amazing, I visited the underground wine cellar, the atmosphere of the wine tasting room is a bit disappointing, but the warm explanation of the wine tasting staff is still to praise, it is recommended to take pictures before 11:30 noon without interference. Check the opening time before going, it's not open every day.
EcoZip Adventures
çç澡ĺ¨ĺThe zipline is exciting, and the scenery passing through is unforgettable.
