From the outstanding service to the delectable food, this resort truly exceeded our expectations. The moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and attentive staff. Their genuine hospitality and willingness to go the extra mile made us feel like VIPs throughout our stay. Every request, big or small, was met with a smile and promptness, adding to the overall exceptional service. The resort itself is a hidden gem nestled in a serene location, providing the perfect setting for a romantic getaway. Speaking of nature, the surrounding beauty of Koh Lipe is simply breathtaking. Each meal was meticulously prepared with fresh ingredients and presented beautifully. We savored every bite and were left impressed by the skilled chefs who clearly took pride in their craft. Although our vacation was filled with joy and memorable moments, I must mention the only downside we encountered. The lack of sufficient lighting outside at night posed a safety hazard, as my wife unfortunately tripped and hurt her ankle. However, it is worth noting that the resort staff responded swiftly and provided immediate assistance, ensuring she received the necessary care. While this incident was unfortunate, it did not overshadow the overall fantastic experience we had at Irene Resort. In conclusion, our vacation at Irene Resort in Koh Lipe was an extraordinary experience. The impeccable service, delectable cuisine, and the island's natural beauty left us with lasting memories. We highly recommend this resort to anyone seeking a romantic and rejuvenating getaway. Beautiful little gem right on the mountain top of Koh Lipe. It has an amazing view from the restaurant and amazing view from room (we booked the one with sea view and did not disappoint!) Unfortunately there are some unused facilities, but I do think that this resort has huge potential could soon be a 5 star!! Staff are kind and helpful, even though sometimes they can’t understand, I guess they deal mostly with Thai tourists but you can understand them easily. Restaurant only serves breakfast (free!) and lunch which is good enough as from 6pm they have free shuttle that takes you to the walking street where you can easily find somewhere to have dinner. Will definitely come back ❤️

The views from each room are superb. For me, it is worth getting a superior room if in budget. The hill means it’s a long haul to get there if you have mobility issues but once there the view is outstanding both from the bed, and the balcony. The rooms are clean and well kept and the staff are very very helpful. The owner could not have done more for us! You can borrow snorkelling kit there, as well as kayaks. The beach is beautiful (if small) there, but 100 times better than the terrible view of a ‘boat park’ along the rest of sunrise beach. I would recommend without hesitation!!

We spent 6 nights in the charming and had a bungalow. This was unfortunately very small and tight. Specially the bathroom did not offer much space, making it often wet. For example, the toilet was not avoided being completely wet when doing the shower. Unfortunately, the room was not regularly cleaned, mostly only new towels and water bottles were placed before the door and the bed was made. There are little options for packaging or backpacking or clothing. Unfortunately, there were many use traces and rides that offered enough space for insects etc. For example, we had visiting meals in the bathroom. On the first night we noticed that it had already opened the door of our bungalow, despite closing it, by a slight pressure from outside. After we reported this to the reception, we were offered to change to the room for one night and assured that the door would be repaired next day. We renounced the switch because after the long arrival we didn't want to pack everything again one day and the next day. Unfortunately, it took three days to get our bungalow closed and the castle was replaced. In this time we have packed all the value items in the safe, which is not included in the room price. But we have received it free of charge. Unfortunately we have not been able to sleep well in the 6 nights. Apart from a animal walking by the walls or on the roof at night, the music of the hotel was very noisy on the beach. The first two days a breakfast buffet was offered, which was absolutely in order, but no large choice was offered. After that there was no buffet, why we don't know. Instead, you could choose a la carte between three menus. It is recommended here to have breakfast (e.g. Cafe Tropical) to have some choice and variety and to drink a right coffee. The staff was always friendly when you spoke. There were daily beach towels for hotel guests free. The beach before the hotel is not recommended as there are very many boats and tourists coming out and arrive, and the bathroom is only very limited.

Stayed for 2 nights while we were in Langkawi. Came over on the ferry/speedboat. We stayed in a beachfront villa with great views of the beach and crystal clear waters. The room was clean and the breakfast was good. We also organised a snorkelling trip with the hotel which left from the beach outside. The snorkelling was superb and thoroughly recommend. The hotel is kept clean with reusable water bottles, towels, flip/flops and beach bag. Great touch. Loved our stay here.

All the excellent reviews were spot on, Anna and the staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Rooms were nice sized with a cool outside shower bathroom built onto the rear of each apartment. We noticed some reviews stating that the mosquitos can be a problem in the bathroom at dusk - tip get the mosquito incense candles from 7/11 and burn one before shower time done the trick for us :) Location was perfect with a great tip from staff to visit beaches and local bars and restaurants. Highly recommend.

We were two couples staying here and we are very happy with the bungalows at this hotel. The hotel was located in a calm area , but close to the beach and restaurants. A very good variety breakfast and friendly personnel. They helped us with pickup of our luggage from the other hotel and also with the transfer of luggage to the speedboat dock.

We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel on the beach and we were not disappointed with Cabana Lipe. Its a small hotel and there is no restaurant or pool (although they do have a kitchen and can knock up some tasty food and deliver it to your room I think) but there are lots of good reasons to stay here. It's on a lovely beach and the sea comes in right up to the wall of the hotel so you are only a few steps from the sea which I doubt many other hotels on Kho Lipe can offer. They provide beach towels and deliver a lovely breakfast every day to your balcony. Sunrise beach is wonderful and the hotel is situated close to one end so quite quiet and not busy with people walking past all day. Yes there are a lot of boats on the beach but that adds to the character and there is still plenty of room to swim. The beach itself is long and if you walk right to the other end it is very quiet with no boats and picturesque with a really cool bar at Zodiac resort with lovely views out over the sea. If you walk out the back of the hotel it's a bit scruffy but don't let that put you off it's nice to be close to where the locals live and within a few metres you reach the road and can turn night past lots of restaurants (there is a good and cheap supermarket within 3 minutes walk) and a couple of hundred metres later you can turn left at the 7 supermarket into walking street with all of the shops bars and restaurants you need. We stayed at Akira Lipe for a few days after leaving Cabana Lipe on Pattaya beach which was quite luxurious (but more expensive) and the sand there is lovely and soft and white but we really enjoyed our stay and Surise Beach which we prefered to Pattaya it's brilliant and for the money paid we would certainly recommend Cabana Lipe. By the way the people who run it are really nice they can't do enough for you. Thanks Cabana Lipe for a memorable stay.

We had the standard double room so cannot comment on the bungalows but we didn’t enjoy our stay here. The room faces a wooden wall where a stagnant pool of water sits behind and at night you are kept awake by the sound of the frogs in the water and couldn’t sit outside our room due to the mosquitos also enjoying the stagnant water. The rooms are basic and small and you can hear everything from next door! The bathroom smells disgusting and the towels and bedding smell of moth balls. The breakfast was ok but I just had meusli because it was the only thing not covered in flies. I have no idea why they put pastries and fruit out uncovered as it’s a simple thing to do. The eggs were cold and staff kept lifting the cover on the container and leaving open so this again was food for the flies. The pictures on the website are not a true reflection of this resort which I can imagine was lovely many years ago but it’s in dire need of refurbishment. There are much better similar priced hotels on sunrise beach. We underestimated how near sunrise beach was from the bars and restaurants but it’s very close and far more idyllic.
