Koh Lipe Hotels with Bars

Bulow Casa was an absolute gem and one of the best stays we have ever had. The beach was stunning — pristine, peaceful, and just steps away. It’s the kind of beach you never want to leave. The atmosphere of the hotel itself was wonderful. The surroundings are beautifully maintained and create a truly relaxing environment that makes you feel completely at ease from the moment you arrive. The food at the hotel was delicious and well-prepared, with a great variety that satisfied every craving. Dining here was genuinely a pleasure. The staff deserve a special mention — they were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and always went out of their way to make guests feel welcome. Their warmth made a real difference to our experience. One standout feature that truly impressed us was the complimentary shuttle service around Koh Lipe. Being able to explore the island freely without any extra cost was a fantastic touch that showed how much the hotel cares about its guests’ experience. We would recommend Bulow Casa to anyone visiting Koh Lipe without hesitation. We will absolutely be back.

The water quality at Tianyuan (Tianyuan Resort) mostly contains sand and gravel, while at Bishu Shanzhuang it's yellow sediment, making the latter seem dirtier. Tianyuan's food was the best. The activities were also pretty good, but when we arrived, there wasn't much detailed information. We were given a piece of paper, but it didn't have anything written on it, just told us to download an app. We only found out the next day that there were free paddleboards, but the waves were too big that morning, which was a shame. I didn't think the service was good. The front desk staff didn't smile at us like they did at the other three hotels. We also had to wait a long time for someone to show us to our room (we were carrying two very heavy bags). On the way, the staff member even asked me what time the pool opened, and I told her it was on the paper, but she probably didn't understand. At that moment, with our two large backpacks, they didn't offer to help with our luggage, and just wanted us to get to our room quickly. So, I kind of wanted to roll my eyes. However, a good point was that they let us check in a bit early. I think the location is quite good; if you use the paddleboards, you can go to the uninhabited island opposite. The facilities, I think, are just average. The room smelled very nice, and there was no discomfort when getting into the swimming pool. At Bishu Shanzhuang, I felt a burning sensation when I swam, and my mouth even peeled, so I think their disinfectant is harmful to people. Overall, it was okay, with both good and bad points.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this resort! We stayed in the Tree Pool Villa, and it was absolutely perfect for our child. The villa was spacious, beautifully designed, and surrounded by lush tropical greenery, which made the whole experience feel peaceful and relaxing. We loved all the amenities the resort has to offer. The complimentary tuk-tuk shuttle service to the walking street was incredibly convenient, making it easy to explore the area. We also treated ourselves to the spa, and it was one of the highlights of our stay—very relaxing and definitely worth it. The breakfast exceeded our expectations, with a great variety of delicious options to choose from. Our favorite was definitely the noodle station! The room was spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. One thing that really impressed us was the bathroom—it was almost as large as the bedroom and felt luxurious. The resort’s beachfront location was another major highlight. Our child had so much fun kayaking and snorkeling in the clear water. If you’re staying here, I also highly recommend renting a boat to visit and hike the island directly opposite the resort. The scenery is breathtaking, and it’s an experience you shouldn’t miss. Overall, we had an amazing family vacation and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended for families looking for a relaxing tropical getaway!

Service: The hotel offers pier transfers. Guests can enjoy complimentary use of kayaks, life vests, fins, snorkels, and masks. Ambiance: Located right by the sea, dining offers direct ocean views. To the left is the 5-star diving shop, Diving Couple, and to the right is the hotel's massage parlor. The massage parlor is a two-story wooden cabin; getting a massage with the sea breeze is very comfortable and not hot. The prices are also cheaper than those on Walking Street. Next to that is the Wapi Hotel. Facilities: The rooms aren't very spacious, so a large suitcase might be a bit challenging to place. The facilities are a bit dated. We stayed in a garden view room (GV2), which was a stand-alone bungalow, but there were quite a few ants and mosquitoes. Every night before bed, I had to hunt for mosquitoes, though an electric mosquito swatter and mosquito repellent are provided. During our 9-day stay, we encountered one cockroach and one gecko in the bathroom, which I suspect came from a slightly broken light fixture. I'd suggest the hotel fix it. Cleanliness: Room cleaning is quite casual; they mainly just change towels and replenish bottled water. However, you can request housekeeping to change the bedding, and they will come and do so. Extra Notes: The hotel has two very cute dogs that will actively 'shake hands' and accompany you for walks along the beach in the evening. The hotel is also not far from 7-Eleven, about a 5-minute walk. However, the road in front of the hotel has potholes that collect water when it rains. The bedding is a tiny bit on the firm side. Breakfast is quite average, with little variation daily; it's enough to fill you up, but you can always buy food from 7-Eleven. Putting aside the facilities, insects, and room size, overall, it's still very good value for money.

The scenery is absolutely stunning, and the service was very nice. Breakfast was exquisite. The only downsides are that it's a bit far from the pedestrian street and requires going uphill, and the road up the hill is quite rough and bumpy. Overall, it was a good impression, aside from the poor road conditions leading to the hotel.

I really enjoyed our stay jt was low season so nice and quiet but still a good atmosphere. Rooms were comfortable, we booked two but could have managed with one room with a 9 and 12 year old. Everything worked , the internet was decent. Gardens and greenery lovely spot. Breakfast was fairly standard for this type of accommodation. Nice fresh fruit eggs, bacon, pancakes , waffles and Asian options, eaten with a nice view of the sea. Location at end of beach but close to walking street. We tended to walk to North point and get a taxi scooter back for 50b. Food on island was good. Coffee from tugboat needs a mention. Island overall is beautiful and has a really nice vibe at present hopefully it doesn't get over developed. North point is a lovely area which still has it's natural beauty.

Pros: 1. **Location:** It's not right by the bustling pedestrian street, so it's relatively quiet, yet only a 5-10 minute walk away. 2. It's a detached, single-story villa with a private terrace. 3. The room has a minimalist design, and there's plenty of hot water for showers. 4. The beach is just a few steps from the room. 5. There are exclusive beach chairs available on the beach. 6. The breakfast is substantial, mainly Western-style. 7. They offer shuttle services. Cons: 1. The room is a bit run-down; many facilities are old or loose. 2. The island in general is a bit noisy and too crowded. 3. At over 1000 RMB per night during peak season, it's not great value for money. 4. The immigration and departure points on the island for boarding/disembarking boats are quite chaotic. You have to pay the island fee upfront. Be aware that the ATM next to immigration charges half the withdrawal amount in fees – a definite rip-off. 5. The staff on the Thai transfer boat were rude and crammed everyone onto one vessel.

We had the most incredible stay at Aya beach It was complete paradise with very helpful ad friendly staff One of the most amazing places I’ve ever stayed In my life I will never forget it. I could not recommend it high enough For the money you won’t get anywhere better for what it is on Koh lipe Pure bliss!

It has been out favorite hotel on the island. It is still very good. Great location (quiet), sea line with very beautiful area, some shade during the sunny day. Very good breakfast and ability to put additionally beds in the room. However, when we were there 5 years ago last time, the service was better. Just an example: there are pits with water next to each villa to clean the feet from the send. If you are a customer you get used to that pretty quickly because it is great that you don't bring the sand to your room and bed, then you actually need it. 5 years ago every time we woke up the pot already was full with water. This time it could stay out of water for the whole day and the half of the next day. Some people were pouring in drinking water there to make it possible cleaning the sand off. There are few other small things that degraded sadly. However, it is till one of the best on the island.

The position of the bungalows are right on sunrise Beach. We had bungalow number three which is on the beach from and perfect every morning. I don’t think I would want to stay in any other bungalows past the first two rows they’re basic but sufficient and we had a great stay here. There are lots of boats, but it really isn’t a problem. Easy to walk to walk straight probably 10 to 15 minutes. The breakfast was basic but sufficient I would stay here again.
