GGuest UserI chose to stay in the newly opened building, feeling it offered better value for money. It shares the same hotel facilities as the villas, but the rooms are new, with a modern design, and quite spacious. You can even watch the sunrise from here! The pool water's cleanliness was a bit average, likely due to sand brought in by guests. The breakfast restaurant has a beautiful setting and a decent variety of options. However, the staff's proactiveness was a bit lacking; we often had to remind them to clear plates. The beach right in front of the hotel has absolutely stunning clear water, and it's very close to Sunset Beach. There are three shuttle services to the walking street every evening. Highly recommended!
SSean947The most breathtaking part of my stay at Akira was undoubtedly opening the balcony door to find the hotel's iconic 100-meter pool almost at my feet. The azure water seamlessly merged with the beach just a few steps away, inviting me to jump in for a swim at any moment – an unparalleled feeling of connection and freedom. Waking up, I enjoyed a plentiful breakfast right at the poolside restaurant. The Pad Thai and freshly made omelets were delicious, and with the pool and sea views right in front of me, the holiday vibes were instantly maximized. While the room itself was a bit minimalistic, this unique 'pool-just-outside-my-window' experience is reason enough to visit again.
GGuest UserI stayed 4 nights at Ananaya, and then 4 nights at Ten Moon. My most candid advice: if your top priorities are enjoyment, quality, comfort, and convenient surroundings, then only stay at Ananaya. It's the best, no doubt, especially the rooms with direct pool access. If you're looking for a more natural, eco-friendly experience, and you prioritize great sea views for photos, and don't mind sacrificing some room comfort, then Ten Moon might be for you. Based on my personal experience, I wouldn't choose Ten Moon again. While the service was very nice, I still felt uncomfortable and restricted – the room felt cramped and wasn't relaxing. It's especially unsuitable for older people, with all the up-and-down walking and uneven ground that comes with an eco-friendly setting.
GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel for 5 nights to celebrate a special occasion. my birthday, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing and far from what I had expected.
During booking, I had clearly mentioned that it was a birthday stay. However, upon arrival, there was no welcome note or any gesture to make the occasion feel special. After an early morning ferry and a tiring journey, I was looking forward to a warm check-in experience, but instead, I was asked to download an app to make spa bookings. The app notifications became intrusive throughout the stay, which detracted from the relaxing atmosphere I was hoping for.
Ahead of my birthday, I checked with three different staff members to confirm my massage booking, as I was not familiar with using the app. Each time, I was assured that the booking had been arranged. However, on the actual day, when I arrived at the spa, I was told there was no booking because I had not confirmed a time via the app. This was both frustrating and disappointing, especially as I had proactively sought confirmation multiple times at reception.
What made matters worse was the lack of recovery from the hotel. There was no apology gesture no complimentary drink, no small token nothing to acknowledge the inconvenience or the ruined birthday experience.
Later, when we requested assistance to arrange transport to find an alternative massage outside the hotel, we were informed that the taxi would cost THB 100 (USD3.00). While the amount is minimal, this would have been a perfect opportunity for the hotel to show goodwill after the earlier service failure. Unfortunately, no such effort was made. We were told the free shuttle only available from 6-8pm no exceptions in any case.
Overall, the stay felt impersonal, with an over-reliance on the app and a noticeable lack of human interaction. It felt more like staying in a business hotel than a leisure resort. Guests should not be expected to manage their entire stay through an app especially when they come to relax.
This experience was disappointing, particularly in how the situation was handled. There is clearly room for improvement in service recovery and guest engagement
AAlaosuoniThis is my second consecutive year staying at this hotel. Booking a sea view room this time made the experience even better. Our room was conveniently located to the right of the lawn, just a 30-meter walk from the restaurant, which offered direct sea views. The rooms here are incredibly spacious and comfortable; I'll definitely book a full week on my next visit! Breakfast was pretty good, with freshly made noodle soup that was very satisfying. During the off-season, they even offer a 10% dining discount voucher. We could bring our fresh catch back from fishing directly to the restaurant to be cooked for 300 Baht per kilogram. It's a decent price; even though it's 50 Baht more expensive than the walking street, I personally feel Benhard Restaurant offers a much better and cleaner environment.
GGuest UserThis hotel has an amazing sense of style — everything feels thoughtfully designed and really stands out. The atmosphere is modern, unique, and super inviting. What truly made the stay special, though, was the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Everyone was welcoming, attentive, and always smiling, which made us feel comfortable from the very first moment. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish place with great service.
Also we loved the Beach Access and breakfast !
