Hotel near Athens
The Ohio University Convocation Center is hiking distance, as is the football stadium, Ohio University and downtown Athens. FREE WIFI and FREE parking for up to 4 cars. McDonalds, and other fast food is very close by, as is a hardware store. The house is on the Athens transit route and we have Uber and Lyft. The house is a historic Sears kit house built in 1939 and recently extensively remodeled. We have a full kitchen and a washer and dryer for for your use only. Also, we have free wireless, cable and a flat screen tv in the living room. There are some games, dvds and books in the living room. If you start a book and like it, feel free to take it. The entire house is is yours except for the basement which is reserved for heat/air and utilities management. Check out our front porch! A firehouse is several doors down for your protection. Self serve car wash next door. Local family owned hardware store is half a block away. On easy bus route for transportation or call a locally owned cab. Great location! We own the car wash so you can park next to the house on either side and not risk being towed. Several small cab companies will wisk you to your destination cheaply and the house is located on the transit bus route. Walking is possible but uptown is a hike. I used to hike it when I went to college here but it may not be for you. Close to Ohio University and inside the city limits of Athens, Ohio. We are 1 of only 4 legal short term rental houses in Athens. Our fully legal status means that we are safety inspected by the city of Athens Code Office. The kitchen is well-stocked for cooking full meals or reheating leftovers from your favorite Athens eateries. Enter the space via the outdoor 3 story steps into an office area with a bonus twin bed. The apartment has a tight, practical, fully stocked bathroom with shower, vanity, and toilet. Two private bedrooms offer a comfortable and quiet place to rest during your stay. The first bedroom has a queen bed and the second one has a double bed. The stay offers 2 free onsite parking spaces with nearby paid parking options for an additional car. Ohio University's campus, the bike path, Larry's Dawg House (yum, seriously!), Little Fish Brewery (way cool), Whites Mill (got to see it), all at or under a mile away! Also located close to the OhioHealth O'Bleness Hospital and Cornwell Health Center campus.
We are about 1 block from the Hockhocking Adena Bikeway. Ride your bike there, no car needed. This is also a great walking and hiking pathway that goes for miles. We are also very close to the Little Fish Brewery, ride you bike there, walk or drive. Very easy. Larry's Dog House, the iconic hot dog, lunch, dinner, soft serve milk shake haven is one half block away!
There are two dedicated outdoor parking spaces plus a garage for your use. If you are bringing bikes, the garage makes perfect storage or use it as an extra parking space.
We provide a coffee service with a Keurig machine and a Mr. Coffee brewer. Bring your own coffee or try ours.
