As a Diamond Honors member, I stay at a lot of Hiltons. The staff here in general are not the best – I’m not the type who needs to be patronized and hate insincere hotel greetings, but on many occasions during my stay I walked by the front desk when no one else was around and the staff did not bother to look up and say hello or goodbye as just a common courtesy. Poor training or no motivation? Also, I asked for my room to be made up specifically because I was running low on shampoo, soap and conditioner – they came and did the room but did not replenish any of the supplies as requested. So I asked a second day if they could replenish the supplies, they came and dropped off about 3 body creams (which I already had and did not need), no conditioner and two shampoo. They also did not replenish the coffee or coffee cups when used cups and empty creamer were sitting right next to where they left the shampoo. This is just plane laziness and ticking off tasks rather than really listening to guests. Also, I was really looking forward to using the hot tub, which was out of order. When I asked if it might get fixed during my stay, the guy laughed and said it had been out of service for well over one year. What possible excuse can there be for not being able to fix this for over a year? If you do not plan to have it, why have it sit there embarrassingly out of service and to disappoint guests? It shows a poor commitment to maintaining the hotel, also noting that the clock in the pool area was not running and on two days I had to run back to my room to use my towels as there were no clean towels by the pool. Just plain sloppiness. Lastly, as a Diamond member, we used to get free breakfasts no questions asked. Now there is some new choice system which was poorly communicated – I apparently received honors points instead of free breakfasts, but only learned this on check out and was not given a choice. So I got surprised with a large food bill when I assumed I would be getting free breakfasts. Very disappointing if you are taking things away from customers and poorly communicating about this, this change is not a good one for customers and NO, you are NOT offering us more flexibility if we are not aware of the choices, you have only added complexity and disappointment. When I complained about this at check out, the front desk person had zero compassion, never apologized or thanked me for being a Diamond member. Nothing huge was wrong but there were certainly enough small things wrong and clear signs the staff here fall short of what I expect when I visit a Hilton.
The employees are very professional and they are accommodating to the guests, especially me. Thank you Jeff for your assistance in helping me currently during my stay here. The breakfast is amazing here and the staff are always willing to help the guests, especially me.

I booked a room online and when we arrived, the man at the desk gave us keys to a room and didn’t say much. So we get up to the room and the sheets are dirty, look like they have either a poop stain or thrown up on.. so we go back downstairs and ask for a new room. So the guy at the front desk says there’s only one other room and gives the new key. This room is even WORSE, with burn marks on the blankets, the other sheet is stained, the tub is broken and cracked and the ceiling has water damage in different places. So once again, I head to the front desk to see what could be done. He says that there’s nothing more than to get us clean sheets for the bed. So I say okay, take the sheets and went to change them when I see that the bed cover has multiple stains on it, long pieces of hair and what looks like a wad of gum stuck to it.. so sadly we pack up what we had and asked to check out and get a refund.. he says the 60 dollars will go back to the card but that was it. We didn’t even stay at this hotel because the condition of the rooms was unclean and unkept and the hallways smelled like marijuiana. When we first walked in we expected better, especially with the way the lobby looked. Now I can’t get anyone to call me back about a refund when we never stayed in a room, because they don’t know how to clean sheets up
We stayed in this hotel in March 2022 and it wasn't bad at all. We had no shower gel, and no maid service but they said that was because of Covid. Okay. We just stayed there again this past weekend, for 4 nights, and the place has gone downhill a lot in 6 months. No one mentioned there was no maid service now unless you're staying a week or more. You must get your towels from the front desk. Add to that, they were still out of shower gel and we had to once again get in in a cup from the front desk. The young blond woman working the desk in the day is helpful, at least she responds and smiles when you look her way or need help. But the women at night were engrossed in their phones, never even looking up. It looks sloppy and very unprofessional. The male housekeeper in my hallway (third floor) had his hip-hop music so loud, I could still hear it once I got in my room. Our room was also across from the electrical/mechanical room so the men would talk loudly outside our door. (Note the room number 350-AVOID). Trash sat outside rooms because, once again, there was no maid service for under a week, and most of it was there my entire 4-night stay. I also made note of a plastic fork in my hallway EVERY day I was there, even AFTER housekeeping had cleaned some of the rooms for guests who had checked out. There was also trash in the elevator daily. The carpeting in the halls was dirty, too. Our room was somewhat clean, but I could write my name in the dust on the TV stand, and the kitchen needed a major cleaning, as well as the refrigerator. We needed ice but there was no ice machine, so you had to make ice in your freezer. The pillows smelled of oily hair, which was a huge turn-off. And our room description said we had a ”recliner” but we had a sofa with a lounge side. Big difference. Of course the frosting on the cake was the fire alarm going off on Sunday morning because someone down our hall didn't know how long to pop popcorn. SMH This hotel is drastically, and I mean DRASTICALLY overpriced at $133-151 a night. I would say $59 TOPS would be the max, once I got a peek at the place. Anyway, I would strongly urge you to avoid this place and seek one of the hotels in Beachwood off Chagrin Blvd. That's where we'll be on our next visit.
I love this hotel beautiful room great service amazing staff clean rooms great area I recommend everyone to come stay here at courtyard Marriott it’s worth it every dollar

Must say I was concerned after booking then reading the reviews, however found a clean, refreshed room, quiet atmosphere. Bathroom had recently been refreshed, which is always appreciated. Did not use the restaurant, however food is abundant in the area. This is not a location to utilize without a vehicle. Can order ride shares and the wait will easily be 30-45 minutes for someone to get out that direction, this is not an urban area where ride-shares or other typical tourist things are going on. Plan on at least an hour to CLE airport due to the gridlock in downtown during business hours. Overall, recommend this facility. Thank you for a solid stay!!
