I choose this place based on location since it was conveniently located near the Tioga Pass entrance. There aren’t a lot of options available in this area. This lodge is landscaped beautifully but doesn’t offer much in amenities. Check in is at 4:00. I arrived at 3:30 and was told I needed to come back at 4:00. No worries, we went to Whoa Nellies Deli and got a bite to eat. The room was fine, no frills. Just a basic room with 2 queen beds. They offer a military discount which was nice and they thanked me for my service which I appreciated. The room cost $250 for the night, quite steep, but you are paying for the location. Mono Market is close by for snacks and drinks, Whoa Nellie Deli which is located in the Mobil has good hot food choices. And Latte Da Coffee has delicious breakfast food and coffee. Mono Lake is near by along with several other lakes you can hike to. Bring bug spray because the mosquitoes are no joke!

Very nice details in the room, like the sink and tiles with motives from Yosemite. Same with furniture.
Unfortunately we did not receive the room that was pictured while booking.
No wifi in the room, only around the reception area. No AC albeit very hot days.
No breakfast available during the season.

We booked a week at the Heidelberg and added two more days. We were having such a great time and really enjoyed our stay. First things first. The hotel does not have to air-conditioning. We were there in July and the temps were in the mid-eighties during the day. We opened the windows after the sun went down and closed them and the shades in the morning before the sun hit the windows. The was a large fan in the room and the evenings cool down nicely. The bed was comfortable and we had everything we needed in the kitchen for cooking. We made use of the hot tub most nights. We would happily stay here again (and again!)

CClémentVery nice motel on the edge of Yosemite Park. The area is very pretty, between the mountains and the nearby Mono Basin. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. A restaurant is also not too far away if needed, so it's very convenient. The hosts were very welcoming and invited us around a campfire! Tired from a lot of driving, we weren't able to enjoy it as much as we would have liked. But it was a very, very pleasant experience!

GGuest UserWe had a very pleasant stay in the Walker River Lodge for an extended weekend. Our room was spacious, including a fridge and space to sit and have coffee and breakfast. We enjoyed the nice view from our porch to the grassy area/river which is easy accessible through a back door. There are also picnic tables available, great for families. Our daughter forgot her earrings and the manager was so kind to mail them to us. Very friendly and clean.
