We had visited here previously in 2016 and after 8 years finally returned. My wife and I visited here as a spa weekend break we had booked. Within our package (which was just over £300) we had an overnight stay, lunch, 2 course evening meal, breakfast the following day, access to the spa facilities and a 25 minute treatment each. I personally think this is pretty good value. Everywhere was clean, the spa facilities were good and the food was delicious so no faults there; the bedroom was decent too, nice and spacious! My only slight gripe with the experience was how poor the gym was… all the equipment seemed very old and rusty which isn’t what you’d expect from a spa/ health club. Interestingly the cardio equipment seemed in good condition but the things in the actual gym were of poor quality. Not only this, there was also very limited pieces of equipment, in reality you’d probably have used all pieces of kit in there in about 15 minutes! Apart from the gym though we had a nice break… the gym was definitely not a deal breaker but more an area for improvement. I’m sure we’ll be back again sometime… going by our current record…. 2032 maybe!

I am giving this hotel an "Excellent" rating even though they have 2 or 3 little quirks that bothered us on our visit. The approach is very grand with huge spacious grounds. A large car park near reception - however we felt that reception was not as grand as the approach but efficient all the same. However we discovered that our room 60 was the very last one along a long corridor on the first floor - yet there could not have been more than 20 rooms occupied - so why put us as far away as you can go ? A lovely spacious room with a very comfortable bed and well equipped bathroom. But no biscuits on the TCMF tray ? And no reading lamp - the room lighting was dark - and no printed instructions how to operate the heating ? A marvellous spa with everything you could want - but no costume driers , just a plastic bag ? An excellent dinner very attentively served - next little quirk - it was our wedding anniversary so at eh end of our meal an anniversary badged dish was put on our table with 2 chocolate balls and a halved strawberry - a lovely gesture but the dish was rather grander than the treats ! As I said at the start, the hotel deserves the top rating but it has 2 or 3 little quirks which we felt they could improve on - particularly putting us as far away as possible - and we are not noisy, honestly !

A fantastic hotel in Warwickshire. The grounds are beautiful with lots to see and do in the surrounding area. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. Huge shout out to Roy in the Brasserie, what a star! And the evening meals were superb, especially the salmon mousse starter! Will definitely return.

Arrived 16th to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Room 31 was allocated. Very nice room in the main building but we had to be moved after we unpacked because of constant humming from the bathroom. There is no way of turning off the extractor fan and it was incredibly loud. Even with activity outside and TV on the noise was excessive, we would never get to sleep! Georgina on the front desk was an absolute delight and went out of her way to find us another room on the same floor. We all agreed that all the rooms were the same, no way can the extractor noise be reduced or stopped. Usually this goes off with the lights but this system did not. So we had to move to room 125 in another building and sadly it was raining! Georgina, came to find us in the bar to ask us to look at this room, then came to find us again in the restaurant to give us the key. The delightful young lady went over and above what we have experienced before and is a credit and an asset to the team. She should be recognised for this and had a smile on her face the whole, nothing too much trouble. However, the food was disappointing. Breakfast, basic full english each day, fruit every day sadly was water melon and honeydew melon in a big bowl. I did find a single piece of pineapple on the 3rd morning. This is so boring, surely a 4 star hotel can come up with variations of fruit, banana, pear, blueberry, raspberry, strawberry? The menu was very limited and if you stay 1 night, then all would be well, stay 3 and you struggle as the menu never changed and it was limited. My husband had the same starter 3 nights because the other 3 items were not to his palate. 3 types of burgers, a chicken, pork and a beef at an additional cost of £3,95. Having paid £565 for 3 nights, I was surprised to have to pay a supplement. Again, 3 burgers, really? All main dishes were accompanied by garlic potatoes, cabbage, leek and peas. Surely, carrots, cauliflour, brocolli etc, etc could have appeared as an option as these are seasonal vegetables as well. Even a variation on the potato, ie, mash, roast, boiled would have been gratefully received. Based on the food, I would not recommend the hotel and feel extremely disappointed that your chefs cannot be a little bit more imaginative. The food let everything down and its saving grace was Georgina who was delightful. Perhaps, put her in charge as she has the right attitude and customer skills.

Absolutely fabulous stay. We booked a Secret Escapes stay. Just one night. Cannon praise the staff enough. Friendly, helpful and accommodating. Check in easy. Room clean and well equipped. That said the TV has seen better days. Used the pool and hot tub, not busy. Dinner was tasty and a good choice. We will be back.

Third stay and every year it gets better. We had a lovely huge room with amazing views and bed is super comfy. We attended a charity event which was well run with lovely food. Breakfast was very good. We walked around the grounds in the morning and it is stunning. Thank you for a lovely stay and see you next year.

Booked 2 night stay through Secret Escapes on a DB&B basis, with the added bonus of a cream tea on arrival. Great tranquil setting. Allocated a 'courtyard' room (not in a courtyard) but overlooking the golf course. King sized bed, very spacious room with ensuite bathroom. Usual tea and coffee satchets provided with satchets of milk. Staff in the bar were happy to provide fresh milk. Toiletries provided were by the White Company and something you don't see nowadays, shoe mitt, sewing kit and shower cap. Indoor and outdoor pool, gym, spa sessions available. Golf is available for a fee. Evening meal...apparently on booking you automatically get the 7.30pm slot so if you eat early or later then call before hand. On Sunday and Monday evenings the restaurant was very busy come 8pm. Limited menu but with about 5 different options on starters, mains, and dessert courses. Downside, same menu on both evenings. Having said that, the meals were very tasty. No complaints. Bar prices not too bad, no 'Spanish' lagers available. Breakfast was excellent, cereals, fresh fruit, juices, full cooked English and pastries. Staff always seemed to know when I needed more coffee. Staff were great and we enjoyed our stay.
