Basically, it was a place to sleep. It was clean. Plenty of towels. Soft bed and pillows. Decent breakfast; well stocked. Good parking spaces. If I come back in this direction, I'd stay there again.

The hotel was built earlier, and the facilities are relatively complete, with fitness equipment, and the fitness is on the third floor. The overall environment is good. Although old, it is clean and tidy. The price is affordable and the service is good. It is close to the airport and travel is more convenient.

The staff at the front desk were friendly and worked through the line at check in quickly enough. When we got to our room, we couldn’t open the door. The key card worked but the door handle wouldn’t open, so had to lug our bags back to the front desk and ask for assistance. The front desk woman walked back to the room with us and instantly remembered the issue with that particular door. Apparently the handle was installed upside down so you had to turn the knob upward for it to actually turn. I didn’t expect all that much but the doorknob being installed upside down was a new one. The room was pretty dingy, 2 out of 3 of the vanity lights were burned out, there were significant damages to most of the furniture - especially the bathroom door. The closet was missing a folding door that evidently used to be there (the track it used to slide on was still there). Also there was a GIANT spider in the bathroom. I thought it was a crack in the wall when I walked in there at night without my glasses on, but when I showered the next morning it moved to a different corner of the wall and was undoubtedly a spider. The wall decor featured some nice Cleveland themed pictures as well as a freshly spackled hole in the wall. Looked like someone punched a hole in the wall, so that’s classy. The view was nice outside the window because it wasn’t facing the parking lot and the highway was obscured by a grassy area. The water pressure was really nice in the shower and the TV worked. The beds were not comfortable and you could feel all the stuffing in the pillows separated into lumps. We didn’t expect much, but it certainly still managed to disappoint - I’ve stayed at nicer Red Roof Inns…
