Do not stay here: The welcome letter: While you are with us, you can enjoy three superb resort swimming pools, two tennis courts, a health & fitness centre — all these facilities set within the lush tropical surround. Of the above only two pools were available, the health and fitness centre had transformed into a Broom Closet with some weights on the floor. The tennis court as part of the fitness centre was also unusable. This causes me great concern as at the time of the sending of the welcome letter it was known by your staff that most of the amenities mentioned were not available, and that the hotel was undergoing major repairs. Other issues: General Facilities: 1. There was construction and painting going on that effected the use of the foyer. 2. There is only one lift operating. 3. The advertised Lifestyle Centre is now a Broom Closet with some weights on the floor, as a regular Gym goer I booked partially based upon your advertised lifestyle centre. The Room Itself: 1. Advertised balcony did provide spectacular views, this was severely impacted by the mould and continuously dripping water that made half the balcony unusable and was an annoyance when trying to sleep. It did however make our room easy to identify from the pool as it was the one with the large black mould stain. 2. The ensuite did have a new mirror and vanity, it was of note that the upgrade did not include the removal of the mould across the rest of the room and bath. 3. Dirty, the room had not had a full clean in quite sometime as there was large collections of dust on the light fittings etc, the mould in the ensuite is also an indicator of this. 4. Towels, the towels provided to the room and for the pool were threadbare and sometimes ripped. 5. Staff not having control of the vending machines, this caused me concern when the wrong drink came out and I was unable to get assistance from your staff as apparently these are operated by a third party. I logged my concern with your staff to pass onto the vending machine operator and I am still waiting on a reply. For all of the above the hotel offered a refund of $150.00.
