"Was nervous due to past reviews, but found the reception staff friendly and helpful & the facilities really good. The room was basic but location was walkable and, whilst a little noisy at night sometimes, the other guests were kind and considerate. Would stay again!"
"Only lost one point from me, because of the WiFi signal but I can live without I'm just glad I don't have the kids with me. Personally apart from that my stay was flawless. It has the perfect, location, service, security, cleanliness, not overly priced and I've also saved a lot of cigarettes (because I'm too lazy to walk outside to have one). Then there's the bed!! Wow the bed is lovely, on arrival I had things to do but I laid down for a ”little bit” and I woke up at midnight 😬😮😁
I will definitely be returning in the future. ."
"We had a very pleasant 4 Night stay at Hotel Tropiq! Very pleased with everything!
Parking arrangements could be improved, but we always managed to find a spot.
👍👍👍👍👍"
"Perfect place for a family stay!
Complete with washing machine and tumble dryer. Products are also provided.
Restaurants literally downstairs, walking distance to the scenic railway, cairns central shopping centre, the esplanade etc.
we liked our stay so much we wanted to stay longer but unfortunately it was fully booked.
We left there and went to stay on reef encounter live aboard. Which you board from literally outside.
Keys were easy to drop off and pick up too!
Would definitely recommend staying here"
"The room was very clean. However, I can hear a lot of noise in the next room, probably because the walls are a little thin. I woke up around 3 o'clock in the middle of the night with the sound of the shower in the next room.
It took about 40 minutes to walk to the center of Cairns. It was hard to walk in the hot sun, but it was a good exercise.
It was good that everyone in Pront was polite. Even before check-in, he was willing to keep his luggage and arranged a taxi."
"View from the room looks really good. It is 1km walking distance to everything including bars restaurants ferry supermarket and public swimming pools.
1 dollar day pass bus is available and there is a stop behind the hotel.
But if you do not want to walk for hundreds meters or 1km, the location is not good for you."
"It is far away from the cruise ship terminal. It takes about 30 minutes to walk. The boss service is very enthusiastic. It should be fixed for 3 nights and solved. There is a 7-11 convenience store next to it. It is a little more expensive than the big supermarket in the city center. There are two Chinese restaurants next to it. The taste and the amount of food are OK. The price is cheaper than the city center. Overall good."
"The most average hotel in the whole trip. There were obvious stains on the bedding, but the girl at the front desk was very nice and helped to change it immediately. The hotel has its own swimming pool, the water quality looks good, and the water temperature is also suitable. Something unpleasant happened on the first night of stay. The tenant upstairs started to make noise and throw things at around 2 o'clock in the morning. It lasted for nearly an hour and woke up other guests. I contacted Ctrip for help in communication, and they said that the hotel was perfunctory at first, and later said that they called the police to deal with it. Cockroaches and katydids were found in the room......"
"Living in a family room, a big bed, a small bed, a sofa bed, the room is small, the facilities are relatively simple, there is a small swimming pool outside, good night in the middle of the night, there is reception, 30 minutes walk from the city about."
