Sleep Inn

Clovis the half way point on the way to Colorado. We stayed at the Sleep inn going and coming home.It is a very nice motel especially for the money. We always ask for room 134 at the back of the property. The trains are noisy but I never notice them between 10pm and 7am so not an issue for me.Our room has always been clean and the bed and bedding is nice and comfortable. Breakfast is adequate. Desk staff is friendly and helpful.
Best Western Cannon A.F.B.

We debated whether we should stay with family or stay at the Best Western. It was the best decision we made. Initially we booked the Fairfield Inn but changed last minute. I'm glad we did. The staff was friendly. The decor of the room was nice. But the highlight of the stay was meeting Pai at breakfast. She maintained the breakfast area with love and care. We felt like we were at home. When we leaving Pai wanted to make sure we weren't getting on the road hungry. I introduced Pai to my sister and told her this is the place to stay if anyone comes to visit. I would definitely stay again.
Super 8 by Wyndham Clovis

Everyone in the office was really nice. They have a good breakfast with lots of choices. We didn’t use it, but they said they had a courtesy shuttle. Pool was clean and there was an EV charging station by the lobby. But the rooms were dirty. Lots of stains and what looked like food or who knows what splattered on the walls. Dirt and finger prints on the doors that could have been easily wiped up. Had a ripped sheet on one of our beds. Multiple beetle bugs that I squashed in the bathroom and a giant spider that was on our bed after we woke up! Stains on the furniture. Ripped shower curtain. This motel could be nice if they went through and deep cleaned all the rooms.
Travelodge by Wyndham Clovis

My recent stay at a Travelodge hotel was, regretfully, an experience I wouldn’t wish upon anyone. The conditions were beyond unsanitary and the service was significantly below par. Upon arrival, we were kept waiting for 20 minutes before the receptionist appeared. When I was finally assigned a room, the key card didn't work. Instead of addressing the issue, the receptionist simply moved us to another room, a solution that seemed dismissive and unprofessional. The replacement room was a nightmare. It was infested with roaches, bugs, and flies, creating an environment that was not just unclean but also deeply disturbing. Dead roaches adorned the walls and live ones crawled over the TV. The terrible smell that filled the room was the icing on this dreadful cake. The bathroom was equally appalling. The bathtub was so dirty and unsanitary that it was unusable. Linen and towels provided were filthy, forcing me to purchase bedding from a local Family Dollar store. The room's lampshade was broken and torn, adding to the overall state of disrepair. The door didn't shut all the way, raising serious security concerns. There was a visible buildup of dirt and grime on the walls, evidence of the hotel's neglect of basic cleaning protocols. Despite the glaring issues, there was no resolution offered to rectify the filth in the room. The hotel is in desperate need of major renovations, as even the parking lot was riddled with huge potholes. Due to the unbearable conditions, I was unable to stay the entire night. I considered sleeping in my car, but the extreme heat made it impossible. I ended up leaving to find a more habitable place to sleep. This Travelodge visit was an absolute disappointment. The lack of cleanliness, pest infestation, and poor customer service combined to make the stay a distressing experience. It's clear that the hotel is failing to meet the most basic health and sanitation measures. I strongly urge the management to address these issues urgently. Until then, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.
