Lovely room with double (large) windows view of the sea! lovely little seating area by the coffee machine, some muffins and water bottles which were welcome after our travels. Huge bed, and the loveliest shower I've ever had (great water pressure) . The staff were nice and helpful too. Really pleased we booked and it all felt very well maintained for such an old building.

Really enjoyed the stay, very nice place, rooms were comfortable and very clean, car parking at the rear was convenient, staff were friendly and very helpful, big shout out to Amy for looking after us, steak sandwich was a great recommendation.

We went to O' Sheas bar for a quick bite to eat while in Cobh last summer and it was disappointing. Staff were nice but the food was inedible. I got the Thai red curry and couldn't eat it, the chicken was horribly chewy and the rice was cold. My dad got the steak sandwich and coleslaw and said he couldn't keep the coleslaw in his mouth. My mother got the chicken goujons and chips and the goujons were hard as a rock. The chips were the only thing you could eat. Wouldn't be in a rush back.

Just back from a two night stay . Over all experience was very god and i look forward to seeing the updates, hopefully in place by my next visit. So what makes the 'Com' special, besides its charm location and food, its the staff, its like going to stay in your friends house. You can't help but engage with the people serving , working behind the bar etc regardless of grade etc , they are what hospitality is all about, nothing is too much to ask, the simplest of request are carried out with understanding and empathy. I took some friend over last night to eat with us in the confidence they would enjoy the experience as much as we do. To everybody we met and spoke with well done guys! the Com is my happy place for Easter, and hope to see all the regulars next year and best of luck with the season

Hotel is old and has great character which we loved. Room amenities were sufficient but we would have liked having face cloths. View was spectacular. Hotel parking was convenient but in high season the parking lot would be very hard to navigate due to the small size. The hotel’s location was phenomenal! Everything right outside the door. Loved everything about our stay in Cobh. Would choose the Commodore again.

I understand the hotel is an old building on the water. So the condition of the building and room was great considering. The renovations to the bathroom is great and the little duckie was my favorite! Everything with the room was just fine. I wish there was a mini fridge for our items, but we made do. The only issue is how extremely loud the other floors were and the outside street noise. I heard every squeak of the floor boards from the upstairs room, everyone in the hallways, and everyone enjoying themselves outside. I don’t think I would have been as annoyed if I hadn’t just got off a red eye flight and hadn’t slept in 24 hours. I would suggest you skip this hotel if you’re a light sleeper or request a room on the upper floors, maybe facing away from the street.

Some of the hotel is getting a little dated but it was clean and the staff were nice. I rang to question the rate and they were able to give me a small single room which fitted perfectly for what I wanted. Food was good in the bar. I managed to get parking on the road outside.

I stayed at the Commodore Hotel with my husband and my parents from Germany. We were given two beautiful sea view rooms with fantastic views over the Cobh promenade and the ocean. The rooms were spotless and spacious. The TV's had Netflix even. The terrace on the third floor wasn't open as it was very windy and rainy, but we asked at reception if they could open it up for us for a few minutes and they done that for us, so we were able to enjoy the wonderful views from up there. We also had dinner and the whole dining experience was perfect from start to finish. We had soup as starters, it was delicious. As mains we had scampis, turkey and ham and lasagne. All was beautiful. The desserts, apple crumble and profiteroles, were just as nice. The breakfast the next morning was gorgeous also. There was a wide choice on the menu. The staff couldn't have been more attentive. Nothing was asked too much. They really went the extra mile for us. Special thanks to Sabrina. Thank you again and keep up the good work. We will for sure return and would recommend this place to anyone. Sabrina & Neil Moynihan
