Ocean Parade Motel

It was very disappointing at how dirty this place was. Mould in air con, mould in the shower, hair's in the bathroom, dirty microwave, dirty unwashed mugs in the cupboard (sign saying you must wash all items used no dish soap provided and remove all rubbish) found in corner alcohol bottle from last person, mud wasp nest remains, old yellowing mattresses that had seen better days, broken towel rail, no flyscreen or window covering in bathroom, ***** coming of cupboard, filthy carpet so we wore shoes indoors, dusty cupboards & ledges..... the more you looked, the worse it got! The manager was totally unapproachable and heard her going off at another family, so we didn't complain as we probably wouldn't have gotten a refund. Just made do and ate out. Only positive thing sheets were clean.

Shower was terrible, beds not the best only stayed for a night and fans were also noisey, great location for beach tho, everything for food shuts early and couldn’t find a normal fish and chip shop so ended up having to go out for dinner which also wasnt the greatest

Dirty microwave, dirty unwashed cups, last person's alcohol bottle left in room, sign saying must wash all dishes and remove all your rubbish or you'll be charged excess cleaning fee! Didn't even supply dish soap to do so. Mud wasp nest remains on shelf, broken ***** on cupboard, filthy carpet, old yellowing mattresses well past comfort level. The more you looked the worse it got..... Heard manager arguing with another family and it was aggressive so decided not to complain as I'm sure I'd not get a refund. Advice... wear shoes indoors and in the shower. Don't use any crockery or cuttlery. Room 13

It is an older motel but very well presented and clean. Great comfortable Queen bed. The Other room had 2 comfortable single beds. Kitchen well equipped. Pool looked fabulous. The staff were friendly.

Stayed for 1 night mid week. Hotel is in good location, close to beach access, Bowling Club, or local pub. Our room was upstairs, bed was very comfy. Room itself was clean, however it is looking a bit tired. Staff were friendly.

The location was amazing. The room was clean. Only issue is no bedside tables, couldn't have your mobile phone or a cup of tea or water bottle or a light next to you. Honestly find that really weird as had to get up and to go the switch near the entrance door for some light in the room at night time. The window in the bathroom was broken. $150 a night was a bit too expensive for this place. The reception lady was lovely but sorry I had to give a honest feedback.

We booked this accommodation for 1 night only through *********** and requested to pay at the property. When we got there I also told the lady I would pay before we go. At 6am the following morning my CC was debited for 2 nights stay, which I didn’t authorise. When I went to the manager first thing that morning I was told that it was a mistake via *********** and that she would refund my money direct into my bank account that day, she said she would personally go down to the bank and put the cash back into my account. I asked why they couldn’t refund back onto my card then and there ,she made excuse after excuse about not being able to do this and then she said I’d need to talk to the owner who processes the payments at 10am when she got in. I left my account details and phone number and was promised that someone would call me at 10am. No one did, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and left it until Monday to do it. No one called me or made any attempt to correspond with me regarding this and when I tried to call everyday and left messages no one returned my call. I then called *********** and they said they would try and contact the property themselves and they couldn’t get hold of them. After nearly a week of no response, I messaged the property and told them that I would be contacting the police as this is theft. All of a sudden I received a message through the *********** app from them, which was nasty and unapologetic on their behalf, they stated that ‘I originally booked for 2 nights, so this is my mistake’ not true. I now have to wait 10-15 days to receive my refund..

Reverse cycle air conditioning did not heat (in winter) the bathroom was shabby and the cistern ran all night. To top it off on checkout they told us that the booking (through ***********) had “been declined” and we paid the property (the *********** confirmation said that we had to pay at the property so we were happy to do that) - only to find that we had also been charged by the property on the basis of the credit card details provided to *********** So we paid twice for one stay and are still chasing the money. In short we will never stay there again and recommend that you don’t either.

Stayed in motel in April. Position of motel was good and presented quite clean. We required a power point near bed but as not available we moved bed close to tv point. Moving bed revealed an array of old food,plastic, small toys and dust on floor. I only felt comfortable using our own towels as supplied towels were threadbare. Sadly stay was effected by these issues.
