The location right on the Rhine promenade was great, everything was within easy walking distance, but:
- Prior telephone agreement regarding a third bed was very difficult, since German was not his mother tongue, but it worked
- we got a room directly in one of the roof gables, although the hotel was not fully occupied and it was 30 degrees! It was incredibly hot as there was no air conditioning just a small fan and the open window hardly got any fresh air as the smells from the kitchen and the smoking restaurant patrons went straight up into the room so no sleep possible before 1am
- Also, there was no fly screen in front of the window, so all sorts of animals like bugs, spiders, mosquitoes, etc. in the room
- Correspondingly dirty the room with spiders and cobwebs, but also the carpet was disgusting
- the mattresses were awful, higher in the middle than on the sides, you could only lie in the middle or you would roll out
- in the bathroom the joints of the entire wall had black mold, the shower head didn't fit into the holder and had to be held by hand
Only the wall with the TV and the TV itself have been renewed, but otherwise not recommended.

The accomodation id old, but clean. The reception people were all lovely, except the younger person. The older guys were most helpful. The elevator is carpetted and only fits 3 suitcases and a person at a time but it works well. Great location to everything you need. Rooms are small but super clean.
We would stay here again.

Precies in het centrum. Alles op loopafstand. Hotel is gedateerd. Toilet loopt door gordijn van de rem. Had schoner gekund met name onder de bedden.
Ontbijt voorzieningen geheel vrijblijvend. Kan ?ik voordelen hebben

We stayed here when visiting the Christmas Market in Cologne. If your looking for fancy then this isn't for you, but it is a nice hotel and very close to the markets, the train station, and for walks along the Rhine. There are plenty of places to eat around the hotel but if you want to eat here you can and the food and drinks are good i had no complaints. would i stay again, probably yes due to the price and location, it was clean staff were nice food was good. just remember if you want fancy or 4 or 5 stars this isn't for you, if you want location and decent price and not really bothered about where you stay then this is a great place to stay!

Céntrico ( al lado de la catedral ), bien comunicado con el transporte público (a 5 min andando de Koln Hbf) y con unas bonitas vistas al río, el hotel gana puntos. Ahora bien, las habitaciones se ven viejas, las camas son incomodas y blandas y poco cuidadas, el baño bastante pobre y una limpieza regulera. La comida del restaurante deja mucho que desear aunque el personal ha sido muy amable y atento.
