"The hotel outside look a bit old but inside the room look very nice the room is big have alot Lots of space. The problem is when I arrive to the hotel around 13.00 the staff in morning shift very unpolite. We when there to put our bag and will go out for sightseeing but the words that she said to me very unpolite way. We know check in time is 15.00 we just want to keep our bag. She said it not check in this yet and she say you want to put your bag here? and I answer her yes that why am here she very unfriendly. She even not check my book. We are going out for sightseeing and come back around 16.30 the receptionist in the afternoon the lady who checking in me very friendly and helpful. After check in the room was nice but in the hotel the provider only 1 bottle of water. I call to receptionist the man pick up my phone I was asking more bottle of water he said hotel set only 1 bottle if you need more you have to pay i was shocked with his answer because in pullman Köln the have complimentary 2 bottles of water but this hotel give only 1 and this hotel no slippers in the room also if compare with pullman Köln I prefer pullman Köln is better. I don't know why this hotel get top 10 in the application of trip.com and Ranked 4th of trip.com."

"Otherwise, the hotel was fine! Everything was neat. Checking in via the online system was a bit tricky, though. Moreover, they ask for ID again that you have to scan, and apparently the entrance and room number have separate codes. It should be easier if, once the booking is confirmed, we can get the link directly and enter our details, rather than me having to call the hotel and ask how to check in. Maybe I did it wrong, but that was the only downside."

"It would be good to know that the city of Cologne charges a high city tax in addition to the accommodation price, which has to be paid upfront at the front desk. The invoice is only provided after check-out. The internet was overloaded and didn't work, making the in-room tablet useless. The staff could only offer standard apologies like 'I'm sorry.' The price was outrageous for what was offered! It's an outdated 3-star hotel with a tiny TV. The coffee was from the cheapest instant powder. The towels need to be replaced; they're completely worn out, even after multiple changes. Next time, I'll stay in a better hotel and give the exorbitant price difference to a taxi driver instead."

"The best part of the stay was the desk attendants ( Olga and Constance). They did everything they could to make the stay the best it could be. Overall the room was way overpriced for what it offered. The room was lacking many of the standard amenities that other hotels offer. Even to the point you have to request room cleaning and hope to get it. We stayed 10 days and never received a room cleaning although we requested it."

"This hotel's Cologne Cathedral view is absolutely breathtaking, but what was equally impressive were the location, service, and cleanliness. When I first arrived from the train station, I foolishly didn't look up the route properly and ended up dragging my heavy luggage up and down stairs, when I could have avoided them by taking a different path. Despite the difficult journey to the hotel, the staff greeted us so warmly and genuinely wished my sister a happy birthday that all my weariness turned into joy. And when we got to the room, we were greeted with such an amazing view and a beautiful room! Thanks to this, we had a wonderful time in Cologne for two days, listening to the bells of Cologne Cathedral. When checking out and heading back to the train station, I followed the staff's directions and found a flat, easy route back. Oh, the only minor inconveniences were the opaque glass in the bathroom and having to shower in the bathtub."

It absolutely does not deserve 4 stars — I’d give it half star, maybe 1 at best. 1- Reception was a disaster. I waited over an hour because they couldn’t find my reservation. No apology, no compensation — just pure incompetence. 2-I paid €100 extra to upgrade from a tiny single bed to a double bed — only to find it was just two singles pushed together. Completely unacceptable for the price. 3-Reception closes at night. No one to assist, and there was no phone number provided in the room for help or room service. Total lack of basic hotel service. 4-The room had no amenities. No tea, no coffee, not even a kettle. The bathroom was cramped, and room service doesn’t even exist. 5-The swimming pool? It’s not in the building — it’s in another one nearby. Misleading and inconvenient. This place is a joke compared to what it advertises. Don’t waste your money. Don’t come here. There are far better options nearby"

They were very friendly, and even though I checked in late at night, they greeted me with a smile and even provided a map and gave me detailed information about nearby tourist spots. I went to a cafe across from the hotel that they recommended I visit in the morning, and it was fantastic. The room was clean and the shower had hot water, which was great. The only downside is that the shower curtain was a bit short, causing a flood after showering…"
