This hotel's Cologne Cathedral view is absolutely breathtaking, but what was equally impressive were the location, service, and cleanliness. When I first arrived from the train station, I foolishly didn't look up the route properly and ended up dragging my heavy luggage up and down stairs, when I could have avoided them by taking a different path. Despite the difficult journey to the hotel, the staff greeted us so warmly and genuinely wished my sister a happy birthday that all my weariness turned into joy. And when we got to the room, we were greeted with such an amazing view and a beautiful room! Thanks to this, we had a wonderful time in Cologne for two days, listening to the bells of Cologne Cathedral. When checking out and heading back to the train station, I followed the staff's directions and found a flat, easy route back. Oh, the only minor inconveniences were the opaque glass in the bathroom and having to shower in the bathtub.

Highly recommended by friends, the experience was really good, the hygiene, service and facilities were beyond expectations, looking forward to staying next time😊.

Don’t stay here in summer it’s absolute hell. It doesn’t have any working air con regardless of what they say and the room is 28-30c at night! The hotel owners need to spend a few million euros overhauling the entire system and it’s obvious they won’t ever do that Sadly because of this the front desk staff bare the brunt of complaints therefore creating a toxic work environment the room itself is nice but sadly would never book again during summer months

We had a great 3 night stay at this hotel. The hotel is in a great location, approx 10 minutes walk to the old town / river etc. There are also lots of options nearby for morning coffee, pastries, drinks etc. The room was excellent. The hotel is spotless, room was very comfortable, good air con, and a lovely touch with nespresso coffee machine in each room along with a small minibar that is included as part of your stay and re-stocked. A really nice touch - thank you. All in all cannot fault and would highly recommend.

Facilities: The room facilities are relatively new and include an electric kettle. Hygiene: The hygiene is good. Environment: The overall environment is excellent. It's less than an 8-minute walk from the station. From my high-floor room, I could see the top of the church. It's also a very short walk to the church, about 5-10 minutes. Service: The overall service is good, and the staff are very patient. There are a few steps from the lobby to the elevators, but there's a small lift available to help with luggage, which is a very thoughtful touch.

The location is perfect, only few minutes walk from the central station. The staff was also nice and friendly, enough support. And there is dryer available, which was nice. But overall, the room and corridor looks really like a prison or hospital, not at all giving the vibe of holiday stay... Luggage storage was available for free! we can store luggage until 11pm on the day of check out. There was no kitchen. There is locker OUTSIDE the room, which is so weird. We need to use our own padlock to lock the locker but most of them were occupied or not working (broken). Even with the padlock, it could be open easily so I did not use the locker. It seemed there is not enough number of lockers available compared to the number of the rooms and beds, at least lockers that are not broken. There is no curtain no privacy, even is a mixed gender room. It really feeled like a jail or something. The bedside light is too bright so that if one of us turn it on, the whole room could be bright enough, which is ridiculous. Also the sound proof was terrible that we can hear people outside singing, screaming and DJ-ing midnight, even with our windows and curtains closed. The sound of closing the door was so loud and the door seemed half broken. Also we could hear people talking in the corridor. The shower and toilet were also outside the room and they smelled so bad. Did not feel clean.

I had a wonderful stay at CityClass Hotel am Dom. The location truly could not be better — it is just steps away from the magnificent Cologne Cathedral, and the views from the room were absolutely fantastic. Waking up to a direct view of the cathedral was a highlight of the trip. The hotel is also surrounded by plenty of food options, from traditional German restaurants to international cuisine, all within easy walking distance. It made exploring the city incredibly convenient, especially in the evenings. Furthermore, it is just a 5-minute walk from the train station. The staff were friendly and professional, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Overall, an excellent choice for anyone wanting to stay right in the heart of Cologne with unbeatable views and dining options nearby. I would definitely stay here again.

It's alright. I stayed here for a business trip, prioritizing convenience and safety. The surrounding area was a bit noisy, but it generally quieted down after midnight. The hotel breakfast could use some improvement. Also, it wasn't clear if the minibar water in the room was complimentary.

It's clean and tidy, though the decor is quite minimalist and plain, without any extra frills. The service was standard; check-in was reasonably efficient, with no particular warmth but also no slip-ups. At around 650 RMB, the price is about what you'd expect for a central Cologne location. It's a good choice for travelers who prioritize convenience and don't require luxurious accommodations.
